Hi Coliman from San Diego. I am a 44 year old man. Joined 10th planet over a year ago. Have tried 5 different martial arts so far. Love the journey of learning and improving my skills. Finding the right equipment and clothes can be challenging being a thicker dude. Great video. Wish you the best :)!
Hi, nice review! I'm looking for a new Gi and this has a nice price today (prime day), I just have a little doubt about size, I'm 5,8 165lbs, acording the chart I have to buy A1, usually I bought from other brands A2, can you say your size to compare? Thanks
It does not hurt to go up in size on this Gi! Usually I wear a A1L and they do not offer that. I went with the A1 and it’s cutting it pretty close to being something I cannot compete in. If I were to go back I’d get the A2! I’m 5’10 165lbs and again where an A1L
@@grapplersgraveyard thanks man! Actually I’m 5’10 too, I made a mistake in the conversion, here in Brasil we use the metric system. I’m gonna buy the a2 then
Really no point in buying an mma sparring glove with an inch or less of padding. You can't really strike in those and think your not hurting your training partners
Design and ergonomics of the glove look bad. Doesnt look worth $55. $30 dollar walmart UFC gloves I just bought are better. The Venum classic boxing gloves are really good though so Venum does make some good products. Those were also much cheaper and youre getting a lot more glove.
Very helpful video! I like how you discussed the padding softness. Not a lot of good mma glove reviews on youtube, you earned a subscriber. I started training for fun and for exercise after watching ufc 👍
I am 5’10 160lbs and wear an A1L - medium on shorts and rash guards! Everything fit to size and the Gi did not shrink it’s been a perfect fit since day 1
Good review. Please cover the ankle protection for the shin guards please next time. Also, how are these for ankle protection, especially at the seam between the foot and the shin? Thanks!
You keep moving your hand so fast I can't see the thickness in the padding without pausing the video. When I did it looks a tad bit thin to spar hard in.
Hey grapplers graveyard, I'm a GFX editor and I would love to make you thumbnails for free if you want, I think it would increase the amount of views you would be getting, lmk
Thanks for the review. The design look cool but not my style though and the heat you mention gonna be problem for me. I live in hot country. Not the shogun gi I was having in mind. It looked like the one I recommend are about 70$ cheaper and lighter by 100 gsm (I don't know what gsm stand for but in your gi it written 450gsm and the one I recommend is 350gsm in there website)
@@grapplersgraveyard I think your youtube channel has a disabled link on comment, so I can't put the link. It get automatic deleted. I try four time with all shenanigans to make it work but youtube are too good. So I have send it to your Email that on your website
I’m so happy to hear this! It’s by far my favorite Gi at the moment - I have a couple others that were recommended to me that I need to try :) what color did you get?
Cool! I got the Navy Blue. Man, it almost feels as if I'm mot wearing anything as compared to my other gis. I just ordered a navy blue Fugi Suparaito ultralight gi also. I heard that was a really light gi. I'm a 1 stripe white, 55 years old and have been training since December. This stuff is hard man. Lol I love it though.
They are more for comp because they are lighter and do not have full knuckle coverage! Check out the RDX sport sparring gloves - we have a review and love those ones for newbies/sparring
Hey! I bought and reviewed the Shogun Gi This week! When I searched the name on Amazon I could not find the 'Kanji' one you referred to so I bought the one showcased in the video! What size are you?
I'm 5,5.7 rooster weight. My size is A1. They are a little long in the limbs, but nothing Dryer can't fix. I responded two days ago but I think because I linked the Amazon 'Kanji' gi it got automatic deleting. So I'm not going to link it this time.
Thank you so much for the positive feedback, we truly appreciate it! We will definitely take the shrinking into consideration as well, taking notes! Keep up the amazing content.
I mean with enough force, all headgear moves. I have tried a bunch at this point and the best ones are the adidas & Matman (but Matman is more for BJJ I would say)
