I joined in October 21st of 2019, right before president jokowi had his second inauguation (idk how to spell it since it's not my first language) but uhh i quite enjoy blockate, only because of the genres, though i feel like it's getting more lonelier there.. i might actually switch to minehut

Join Wubby. It's not that hard, just play around. They explain what the blocks and gates do in their properties UI, and even if you still can't understand there are tutorials for some blocks/gates on RU-vid, even if for some blocks/gates they are missing and the tutorials are mostly badly edited and few (but at least some of them do the job), and since wubby has wiring, most games won't keep depending on the admins or owner to do things like teleporting players. Don't get me wrong, I know you can do this on Blockate, but it's very very simple and you can't advance much beyond the commands and attributes on blocks, so you will still depend on the admins and owner to do a lot of things, while on Wubby you can wire things and the system you made will automatically do the job for you. Besides wiring, you can make things faster with the Scale block option. On Blockate you place blocks blocks by block. On Wubby you can scale them and make polished games since the minimum grid size is 0.25 (and 0.01 for premium players). It's good, very good. Some players make beautiful and very polished worlds on Wubby

I don’t think wubby is better than blockate, I find blockate alot better. I play country games most notably BACT by far one of the best games on blockate

I enjoy Wubby but it's a bit too much so it will be harder to get into. Sometimes building cool stuff is also less satisfying in Wubby because it is much easier to add detail compared to Blockate. When you are very limited, it is satisfying when you are able to find solutions to do what you want. Also finding tricks not intended by the devs to build makes me feel like an expert which isn't as common (i think) for a more polished game like Wubby 😭

pretty much agreeable for the most part. all the somewhat fun to play games that are worth your time are in A, B, or S tier and everything else mid and under is deserved.

I dont think tutorials would help. When i started, player made tutorials didn't help me much. Instead its easier to learn through trial and error, by testing things out until you find what works. Once you understand it, you can make stuff way beyond the capabilities of blockate, like working vehicles, or tornadoes that move around and pick up objects and people. And i dont mean soemthing like those janky ball tornadoes from blockate that slowly haphazardly move around, i mean real tornadoes like something out of tornado alley whatever came before ultimate.

As if the current games even come close to being decent, I almost laughed out loud. Back when I used to play, I spent 2 months making a very functional game, at least functional for blockate standards, and it was rejected. The standards are so high and when I asked subs why, he said it was because "players are getting really good". IS THAT A JOKE? IN ALL MY TIME ON BLOCKATE, I HAVE FOUND A GRAND TOTAL OF 0 DECENT GAMES, DISCLUDING ONES THAT WERE ALREADY FEATURED, LET ALONE GOOD. AND YOURE TELLING ME ITS BECAUSE BLOCKATE PLAYERS ARE BETTER NOW?! And they never even clarify what's wrong if you get rejected, so even if I was close, I have no idea what I have to fix. I see games recently featured with similar quality, but apparently they did something better that they will never specify. Wubby has pretty much the same problem, but at least the devs are self aware. People act like blockates limitations are what make it good, but I find it's systems to be hilarious stupid, specifically the stat system, which is so convoluted for no reason, while you can make games in wubby that can pass as fully fledged roblox games. OK MY GAME ISN'T "POLISHED ENOUGH?!" WELL CAN I AT LEAST HAVE A STAT GIVER THAT ACTUALLY YOU KNOW, GIVES STATS, SO I DONT HAVE TO MAKE A 10 STEP SYSTEM JUST FOR SOMEONE TO SELL A GODAM BOX. And people complain that WUBBY is too complicated! If probably still be on blockate if they actually told me the exact problems with my game so I could fix it until it was feature worthy, instead of just saying it needs more "polish". Blockate is also a sucker for hyper detail, which in my opinion, looks like vomit in almost every case, especially for nature. And it means you can't make a big game and also have it featured since you'd need to add "detail" at every square inch. Even great ROBLOX GAMES struggle to reach the amount of detail needed to get featured in blockate. Also i know i might sound slightly narcissistic, but i genuinely get really sad and tear up every time i think about the failure that is delivery not guaranteed. At least the wubby version got featured. :)

Personally, I think these are two completely different games. These are my reasons. Blockate makes you think with very little items and makes you work with the minimal things you have to use Wubby is basically just World Builder (as it was a "recreation") basically but it has many complex things you use to enhance your game.

play build island then, although the games have to be hosted (owner of the server) plus there is wiring like coding but 10x easier, I recommend trying build island tho the games aren’t good sometimes

Honestly the game hasn't had a proper update that wasn't an event or a hat/gear update in quite a while. It would be refreshing to see blockate integrate some of the stuff that a majority of it's competition has. 0:42 also is that gammas steeples of hell!?

I think that giving players an incentive to stay would be better to prioritise so that the new players that may come will play for longer. Thing is though is that there isnt a good way to do this that i know of, since the current community lacks expertise or ambition in making games.

I feel a big reason why player numbers has been the same for a long time has been the community has just been aging with it, a lot of people started playing in 2019 (including me) and we still play it even though we are now in our mid/late teens.

I'm kind of of a bit glad that Blockate has hit this low. I mean, it wasn't as bad as 2020, but ya. It just from my experience from the game since August 2019, I had some bad memories with it and the community which made me quit the game twice. However, it wouldn't hurt me if I did see the game get players though.

good thing its going rock bottom. They banned me a while ago and i was one of the greatest blockate map builders back then, i even popularized the ("Tp to the other room, find:get-key") genre. Alot of today's blockate games like that were copied from a guy i forgor name, wich Took Some big inspiration from my "Find the Shards" game. Its a great news for me. I know blockate is a beautifull game but i almost broke my pc when i got banned. Peace out, my gamers.

I remember I used to play this game called World Builder, it had true customization and it let me create entire games. Sometime in 2020, it sadly got taken down because people were making inappropriate messages using text gates. R.I.P. You were the best game on Roblox.

Another issue you didn't mention is that Blockate is starting to get competition, which makes it harder for the game to grow, i noticed alot of people moved on to other building games since they either provide more than blockate or don't have a dying frontpage.

I don't think people have been realizing just yet, but lately, ever since #REVIVEBLOCKATE began, Blockate has been surprisingly quickly growing it's active player count. If you don't believe me, check! It has completely went from 150 at maximum to regularly around 400. It definitely appears to be working, and this could be great for the community.
