You made the shim too short. There was still a lot of the neck heel left, which means that you’ve just opened up a gap between the high side of your shim and the far end of the heel.
Music Nomad is listening.... They just improved the safety of the Fret Shield by rounding the sharp edges that cut my knuckle pretty bad. It's good the see that Music Nomad is listening to their customers which is the mark of a company worth doing business with IMHO.
WARNING... I nearly cut my knuckle off with this thing when my hand grazed it on my repair bench. The edges aresuper sharp at .004" thick... it is truly a razor! MUSIC NOMAD NEEDS TO FIX THIS PROBLEM BY ROLLING THE EDGES OR TAKE IT OFF THE MARKET. MN won't even acknowledge my calls or emails. They are looking at legal problems!
I kinda doubt guitar techs are losing their digits by the hundreds with this thing. You could just tape the edges if you're worried about it. Good news it's that thin so you can get down to the corners.
Love the demo, in the future, skip the talking and get right to playing. Your intro is where you lose most of your audience. You ALMOST lost me so I thought I'd let you know. Amazing demo!

Never bought a Strymon produce due to the price. But, just ordered a Cloudburst. It’s got everything I need for a reverb without the crazy out of control, unusable sounds. Shimmer is fun but not practical live.
Thanks for sharing! What kind of fretwire did you use for this neck? I'm excited for this product and ready to pull the trigger, but I'm worried if jumbo fretwire is slightly too wide for these slots?
Best streaming cloudburst video I have seen so far, one of the reasons because you are the first and only one I've seen to explain how to use the mini switch, not to include the fact that you also have shown me exactly how to hold the switch down while plugging it up to get other attributes. I have the Big sky pedal and I like a lot. For me the cloudburts sound better more hi-fi sound more clear but the sound in Big sky is more "Big". The cloudburst is a big improove respect the v2 line inclusive the blue sky. The v2 pedal line of Strymon for me sound very "metallic" (not genre) in the higher frequencies

Very clear, useful demo...thank you.. :-) My Cloudburst came a few days ago....and this is the best pedal I've ever bought... it seems so perfectly suited to the kind of ambient acoustic guitar I play. There's something almost AI like in the way the sound seems to shape itself around what you're trying to create. At the moment only tried it through my Yamaha Steel Silent and a Laney Audiohub 150.... you don't have to spend a fortune to get a great sound at home !! .

Great demo mate, I literally just got this pedal out of the box and the clear explanation of connection options was really useful (and refreshing). As a middle aged ordinary guitarist myself I think this concept is great. Good luck and one new sub here 🤟🏽
