Hi, I know this doesn’t fully apply to your title or basis of your video however I do not have many GCSES (I only have a PE one) because I was unable to complete the rest due to COVID. I am about to be sitting my a-levels and hoping I get grades I need for my uni, however I still don’t have GCSEs for English or Maths. Will this be a problem when it comes to getting into University and looking at jobs in the future? Thank you!

Youre hella silly. College in USA isnt that bad. Pellgrant (given to all citizens) literally pays 100% of community college for 2 years and you pay like 20k to finish at a 4 year.
Sally Rooney’s Hate Is the New Normal It is not easy to convince the Snapchat generation to read books. To do so, you must be a gifted writer and know which buttons to press in young people’s hearts. Sally Rooney, a young Irish author, is that kind of writer. Her first two books have won multiple awards and she is widely regarded as one of the most prominent voices of millennials. Rooney is also very opinionated. She is a self-proclaimed Marxist and an avid supporter of the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions movement (BDS). In line with her views, she has refused to sell translation rights to Israeli publishers. Because of her notoriety, her decision caused quite a stir. The New York Times stated, “Sally Rooney Declines to Sell Translation Rights to Israeli Publisher.” CNN echoed, “Sally Rooney refuses to sell Hebrew rights for latest book to Israeli publisher, citing political objections,” and other prominent news outlets also reported her decision. In response, Israel's two largest bookstore chains announced that they would pull all of Rooney's titles from their shelves. This also caused a stir, though not as much. The BBC reported it, as did The Guardian and other British news outlets. Naturally, the Jewish press was all over the case, as well. I sympathize with the response of the bookstore chains, just as I was in favor of banning other individuals and brands that boycott Israel. At the same time, I understand why they are doing this, and I am glad that it is causing a stir in Israel. We can look the other way for only so long. At some point, we will have to ask ourselves why the world hates us, and it is better if we do it now than later. We need to use such incidents constructively. By "constructively," I mean that we should use them as an impetus to return to the roots of our nation, to our fundamental principles of mutual responsibility and brotherly love. These are the building blocks of our nation, and these are the qualities that we lost long ago and for which we were exiled from Israel. When we were cast as a nation that was to be “a light unto nations,” we were made to reflect the splendor of love of others to the entire world. Long before we gave the world Albert Einstein and Arthur Rubenstein, we gave it “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Granted, we did not quite manage to make it a reality, but the idea itself was, and still is, so novel, so unlike human nature, that to this day it seems undoable. Still, the world will not leave us in peace until we begin to implement this very legacy we had left to humanity. Indeed, it makes perfect sense to demand that the progenitors of this sublime idea be the first to implement it. The more the world becomes divided and hostile, the more it needs its opposite - love of others. The more people hate each other, the more they will demand that we love each other, and they will hate us for not doing so and setting an example for the world to follow. In the near future, numerous celebrities, pundits, and politicians will declare their disapproval of Israel. They will not justify our existence as a sovereign state unless we justify it by setting an example of unity. Nothing else will satisfy them; nothing else will appease their hatred. Sad to say I quit uni today. With the covid and being dyslexic it was becoming too stressful for me and I wasn't getting on with others. I also felt that I was the joke of the course and wasn't listened to.
I have dyslexia and was able to get a master's in mathematics. I believe in you. Find something that works with your dylseixa and just do it. You have loads of time, you can even go into insiderty for a few years and go back.

Hello there! Thank you so much for this video! Im currently in year 10 doing IGCSE’s in Kenya and my plan after is to major in English at a korean university. I really dont want to do a A levels and would like to start university immediately after I get my IGCSE diploma. I’ve read that 8 igcse subjects with the grades A*-C is equivalent to a full high school diploma, and that’s what the university that Im planning on applying for, wants. I also have experience with proofreading and helping people with their essays. I also speak some korean and Im studying korean during my free’s. I moved to Kenya from Sweden this summer to do my highschool studies in English, which shows how passionate I am about the English language. Im applying through the Korean government scholarship program (KGSP) , which means I have to write personal statements and purpose to why I should be chosen for the scholarship. Im thinking about very detailed, explain about my experiences. Do you have any tips about what I should write in my personal statement and purpose? On the website of the scholarship program, they mention that the most important for undergraduates is the proof of primary and secondary education (in total should be 12 years, and if less than 12 should have proof of secondary education completion, which is year 11 here). I really want the most unique personal statement and purpose so the fact that I haven’t done A levels, will be overlooked. I will be graduating in june 2021, go back to Sweden since my nationality is Swedish and the application starts in November 2021, to start in March 2022 for the spring semester (which is the school year start in Korea, but usually is in the fall internationally). This means I have about two years to prepare for it. During those two years, I will be studying korean (as many other KGSP students have mentioned that speaking some korean during the interview, is a huuuuuge bonus) aswell as do my best to recieve only A*’s and A’s (and a B for math because I totally suck at it, but will try my best), expand my experience regarding the English language (& literature) and rather now figure out how to write the personal statement & purpose uniquely. @@Auntyyfloraa god💀 I’m doing none of those things mentioned. I actually ended up fleeing Kenya bc my mom found out I left religion. She basically wanted to kill me. So I moved back to Sweden all alone at 16 and dropped out of hs, lived with fosterfamilies and group homes up until the age of 17. Then I got my own place, started working and moved to the us when I had just turned 18 to study programming at a community college. Wasn’t my thing, so I dropped out of college too.💀 Now I’m almost 19, work as a manager at a restaurant making more than most people my age and relaxing. Going back to school next year to finish up the last high school studies. Ah and also, became an alcoholic due to all the trauma my family put me through but at least I’m dependent
I'm in the exact same situation as you. In kenya, in year 10 , planning to go to uni in korea after year 11 IGCSE's. But, I'm wondering if its ACTUALLY possible to go to uni without A levels. I want to be a dermatologist. Let me know what uni in korea you had planned to go to.

you will get all the same entitlements as a 18 year old that's course fees to the uni and up to 9k maintenance loan paid to you to help with rent/ mortgage ect

Well at the age of 47, and after having a life changing accident i have finally took the plunge. I'm now doing a fine art degree with foundation yr. Some good bits of info there pal. To be truthful, i'm absolutely bricking it, but its what i love to so airbrush so on the positive side, i should enjoy it.

Hi, and thanks for the question. I am sorry to say I have no idea how the requirements differ for international students. However, I would certainly look into it. I only had GCSEs when I applied and most of the decision was based on my experience. I would think (and hope) that it would be the same for international students but I honestly can't say for sure. Hi, and thanks for watching and commenting! I wouldn't call yourself a VERY mature student as I have met several Undergrad students in their 60s and one in his 70s! You are only as mature as you feel my friend ;). That aside, it sounds like you have a ton of experience and are likely to be snapped up. I would just make sure you research the universities you are interested in and apply to ones who value 'non traditional students'. Good luck!

Also...half my teachers are younger than I am... which can be difficult, especially if you have a specific learning style you expect from experience. Face to face teaching compared to 100% online learning.
If you complain to upper management within the college regarding your concerns, they WILL brush you off...saying.. “We will NOT change the curriculum for ONE student.”... TRUE story.
I found as a BIG drawback going back to school, compared to 25 years ago.. is the difficulty of online learning. Especially, when you have no support from any staff that put this program in place..in the first place.
In Canada, college and university is a totally different mentality. You, my friend are still quite young, at 28, compared to us older folks who are in their mid 40’s and up. I found the older you are, the harder you fit in. Also, it depends on the program you are in. The attraction to younger participants compared to older ones.
Hi man I'm planning on going to uni for the first time at 26 turning 27 next April to do biomedical science and was just wondering how you went about applying since you said on your old channel you didn't have A levels. I'm in the same situation I do have a BTEC level 3 but didn't do too great in it and that was 8 years ago. Did you do an access to he course or foundation year etc just confused about the whole ucas process tbh as it's not so cut and dry for us mature students.
