Hello, my name is Vladislav Šandala. I am regular guy, with regular story until 25.November 2022. This day changed my life. Doctors diagnosed sigma colon cancer with metastasis to liver. Story is even more sadly because doctor tell me this news only 1 month after my son has born. I fighting with it, but every 10 seconds of each minute I am thinking about it. And this is The main reason why I start youtube channel. I could chose to watch every film on streaming media, but I like to create something with my hands so I decide to building wooden/plastic models and make some tutorials. When I working on models I don't think about cancer. Primary I will focus on video about building models, but it may happend that I will add some cooking recipe video for my favorite dishes. This is my first channel so I am still learning. I hope that quality of content will be good. If you will see some place for improvement, please send me message or directly comment video.
Hi Brent, thanks. I realize that not everyone has time to watch and spent 30 min. So I decided to make some kind of resume. If watchers are interested they could watch whole video .. :)
Very nice work. Drilling out the vents and painting them black really improved their appearance. Having reference material for any scale project is a big help. Keep up the good work. Do you know what engines were used in this craft?
@@vladosandala I was asking about the actual boat. The photo of the boat shows two engines installed in the engine compartment, do you know the maker of these engines?
Hi Patrick, thank you very much. Well it is only about what do you want, if you want to make model and go to another then you can do it easily. Hope you decide to make this model, it is a beautiful boat.
Hello Vasil, for example: allegro.cz/nabidka/chromovany-list-chrom-2-3-mm-13515964832?CZ%3EAuto%3EWorkshop-Car-Accessories%3E3P%3EPMAX&ev_campaign_id=20984419658&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAApZ4Y9TnPfuHtXbFR2lQgF10uhaCV&gclid=CjwKCAjwqre1BhAqEiwA7g9QhpBu3p5Py1bJ2UvczHPMYzYBEX1UNsgQlKhdk_DxQUW5dR6Qt-r88RoCZJsQAvD_BwE&dd_referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2F
What an elegant and beautiful water craft you are building. So many of the processes and steps taken mimic those in building the original full size 'models'. Nicely done.
Looking good, sundeck came out very good. Your repair was just what it needed. Liked using the flush cut nippers to trim the fabric, the thinner leather worked out.
Hi Jack, thank you very much. Yes there was not too much space so I have to improvise. I was really woried that it will not fit. Just now I am working on polishing chrome parts. It looks amazing :)
Hi Valdo your art work look amazing well done 👏🏽 ❤ Where did you find the model kit box ? I was interested to buy one too as I wanna try to build a riva but first let's build a model 😅
Hello David, thanks so much. I bought KIT directly from Amati shop. If you are interested about stand, you can buy on the same page. Btw I have a plan to build my own stand. Stay tunned for planed video. www.amatimodel.com/en/models-amati-classic/product-italian-runabout-b1608.html
@vladosandala Hi Valdo thanks you answer I was wondering is this the same construction plan as eventually to make a real one ? And do you know by any chance if there is somehow a way to make it bigger ? Becuase ideally I would like to make it 1 to 4 scale and then go onto the real one if you know what I mean. Thank you so much for your answer is mean a lot to me 🙏🏻❤️
Again, beautiful work. Your attention to detail, and the patience and perseverance to stay with it until it's just right, is awesome. But, I sure wish that I could hire your mom for sewing/creating the upholstery on my build. I think that there may be a valid business model here. ;)
Brent, thank you very much. Well, that’s interesting idea. I will ask mom if she wanted to :) BTW there is lot of measuring step by step before sewing so to be honest I can’t imagine to do only sewing, it must be sewing and also gluing. But if anybody interested I can do it :)
Hi Colin, That's the plan! But I am afraid that I will be alone on streaming. Don’t have too much subscribers :D But I will try to do some stream and with some heads up few days before :) Will you join?
Hello Vladislav. Thank you for your nice comment recently. Interior is coming along nicely looking great. Working with fabric much different than wood or plastic, you are doing a great job. I have a Sterling model boat kit that I started back around 1985 that is about 75% finished. You are motivating me to get it off the shelf and finish it
Hello, Thank you too! I am curious how your build looks like. If you have FB you can add me and send your build :) my FB contact is Vlado Sandala (I have AI generated picture of me there)
Just found your channel here the other day. You’re doing that runabout justice, great work. 👌 It’s a kit that’s on my to do list. So great to see a video build of it. Also saw that you had the Ferrari boat from Amati, you also have a video log for that build? It would be a very interesting watch. Keep up the good work. 🫡 Regards a fellow modeler.
I did not recorded Ferrari boat, I just with recording video just now :/ But you are not the first person who is asking for the Ferrari video. I am thinking about build Ferrari model again and make tutorial. When I finish this project I am going to start AMATI FIFIE which I get from my wife as present for my 40 :D .. Anyways, If you need any help with Ferrari feel free to contact me and so I can help :) Have a nice day :)
@@vladosandala oh i have my hands full with Santa Ana, so it will be a while before I start another kit. 😁 It would just be fun to watch the build as I’ve never seen it. 😃 Sweet wife you got there. 👌🫡
Very nice work. Your mom did a great job on the sewing. Again, a lot of patience and pre-fitting of the parts pays off in a very nice piece. Adding the thread was a good idea, simulates the welt in real upholstery. Did not comment on last video. Great idea using a laser to lay out the waterline. Will have to remember that trick. Model is coming along great!
Thank you so much Jack, always happy to read your comments :) You are one of the most active subscriber I have :) I will say your regards to my Mom. New video is about to publish at the end of next week. I finished big sofa and sundeck. Hope you will like it :)
Nice work, and your mom did a fine job on the sewing. This is the part of the build that concerns me the most. A different and very fussy skill set, and if poorly finished, the seats would seriously compromise the look and quality of the model. Well done.
Hi Brent, I totally agree! I saw lot of models where the boat was done greatly but at the and the seats just painted .. It has ruined whole project, therefore I decide to pay attention also on upholstery and do not rush myself just to finish to project .. I will send your kindly words to my mom :) take care
Tip for crisp paint lines ~ 1- Lay down the mask tape & rub down well. 2 - brush a light coat of CLEAR Lacquer, just along the Mask "EDGE" & let dry well. 3 - paint the required colour. 3 - once paint is dry, remove Mask tape. The Clear seals the edge of the tape , stopping paint "Bleed" on Colour coat, & is invisible once final Clear finish is applied.
Hi Mark, Thank you very much for tip. It would be very useful to see it as example on some video. If you have it, please share with us so we can learn this technique. Thanks again:)
Brilliant woodworking, real artistry shown! I’ve tried using kaolin clay as a pore sealer (mixed with clear egg albumin) sanding between, but found it made the wood look lighter and the pores stand out. I tried tinting the kaolin, which has a milky off white colour, and the result was better but it still seemed to make the later varnishing less brilliant. You get great results with the products you are using.
Hi Charles, thank you very much :) this is first time I use this method. At the beginning I have to admit that I was little bit doubtful but when I saw the result I was truly astonishing. I will definitely use this method anytime when I need high shinning result.
Very nice work on detailing the dashboard. Your decision is to remake the dashboard was the right one, new one looks better. Not sure if the eclipse will be visible in your area, here in Ohio USA we are in the direct path of the total eclipse, looking forward to next Monday. Regards, keep up the good work.
Hi Jack, thank you so much .. Yes, I was little bit afraid but at the end I am happy with decision. Regarding eclipse, no I don’t think so .. but I will be happy to to see it :) Good luck .. New video is already prepared so stay tuned :)
@@vladosandala Hi, the eclipse was amazing, at 3:00pm the sun completely disappeared. All you could see was a dark circle with a ring of light around it. Absolutely fantastic. Thanks for asking. Regards
Amigo , estou construindo uma Riva aquarama Lamborghini, 700mm , preciso de uma ajuda , qual motor e esc melhor para este tamanho , quero motor brushelles
Love your work, yes sanding is boring but must be done properly to assure a proper finish. Using curved bottle on bow was a good idea. Agree with you on saving sanding dust. Later.
Thank you very much Jack. Really appretiated. Yes indead, tomorrow I would like to publish new part where I already used mahogany dust :) Hope you will like it. Cheers :)
I don't think it's boring. It's watching the beauty of all of the work that went into the detail being brought to the forefront by the sanding away the roughness. It must be very satisfying. I've felt that when creating high-end, sculpted briar pipes. It's where the care invested in the details really pays off. Cheers@@vladosandala
Your detail work is spot on. It's what's making this a special build and I'm pretty sure, at the rate you're going, the end result will be spectacular.
You are most welcome Vladislav. I genuinely enjoy your videos, and I think that you deserve as much larger following. With time, I suspect. I had not read your intro until just now. I applaud your choice to move forward positively. I myself am awaiting the results of a biopsy. I'm a 64 year old lawyer/artist and am not ready to slow down. I will follow your progress with added interest. Your work really is exceptional. Kind regards, Brent. @@vladosandala

Very fine work. Enjoying this build. It looks like you are making a display model not powered. Why did you make the slipway removable? It looks like the removable slipway is for access to the rudder controls. A display model would not require this access. It may have been easier to make this part a permanent part of the model.
Hi Jack, yes you right, it is not RC, its display model. Removable slipway is not needed but I take it as a challenge for me. The aim here was to create removable but also non-visible joints :) Permanent would be definitely easier :-)
@@vladosandala Thank you for reply. Understand you taking this as a challenge, I probably would have taken the easier method and made it permanent. Very good work.
Ciao, complimenti per il lavoro che stai facendo, Favoloso!!!! anche io sono a buon punto, ho fatto i fori per il parabrezza frontale in metallo e domani eseguo la verniciatura con il bianco ed il trasparente
Thank you very much Samuele, Today I finished sanding and start with bridge. Keep going .. you are almost at the end of the journey. Any tips for next project?
