Ask me what my job is …I always say I am a domestic engineer..do I get looks what is that. I have mostly been a stay at home mom for 45 years, now it is the grandsons.
I love raising my children, homeschooling, gardening, canning, budgeting and having a healthy marriage. I can’t imagine putting my children, husband or home last. I have zero regrets raising loving healthy children and having a loving marriage after 28 years. Not many women can say that today.
You guys! My kids are now 10, 7, and 5. I remember telling myself not to forget what it was like when they were all super little. Oh my gosh, it was all consuming. What was so hard was keeping up with all the cleaning and dishes and laundry, sleep, and my own hygiene lol! I hated it when older women would try to tell me what they are doing NOW to manage those things and that I should be doing what they’re doing. But they all have amnesia and forgot what it was like to have a bunch of babies. Their methods would not work. I haven’t forgotten! But now that my kids are older, I no longer struggle as much with all the house chores because the kids are old enough to do them with me. The struggles are different now that they are all older, I’m homeschooling, they are in activities and I’m running around, while being an introvert 😅 So it didn’t get easier necessarily, just different! And I’ve learned to give myself grace for where we are at as a family. Not to compare to others.
waste not want not is always how I think. I put water in the end of the shampoo bottle, cut open any tube or container to get every last bit. use coupons, meal prep from scratch, make 12¢ iced coffees at home. diy my cut/color & mani/pedi. buy new from thrift stores & keep my clothes/shoes very neat. exercise at home or outside, take free online classes, go to free events like concerts in the park or museum wednesdays. I save a ridiculous amount of money from the very modest income I make monthly and people think I *look* wealthy. I definitely am not but my life feels rich 🤍
okay kudos on not being too precious about the green wallpaper. It encourages me to not get discouraged myself when I choose something that doesn't end up working out.
Love the room! I hesitate to ask but...does the piano absolutely belong in your lives? That also would be a great spot for a comfy reading chair, etc. Also, it would be a great corner for your record player. I just had to ask. The room is very cozy, great job!❤
Middle aged people trying to get likes at the cost of their kids and pretending to help other people’s kids is kind of disgusting. WTF has happened to our society?
Being frugal or not depends on whether you were raised poor or rich, people who grew up poor value their property and are conservative, people who grew up with money are wasteful and lazy.
Love the colors, art and style! The reason you have trouble with these rooms is the lighting. You need can lights in the ceiling. Particularly near the corners of the rooms. It will change your life! Love seeing all your projects. You have a beautiful style!❤
It all looks comfortable and homey. I could see myself, sitting and slowly curling up and I'm out in minutes.😃😃💖 Thanks for sharing your beautiful home.
Is the room deep enough that you can get a think beautiful console under that mirror/picture frame wall just behind the sofa. You would Need to pull out the sofa ever so slight and ideally if it were just taller than the sofa would be stuffing and a nice lamp and flower vase/ or books would be all that needs
I am a shiplap fan, but I don't know how I feel about the type that attaches to walls. It looks cute though! Well done on making it over. The room looks lovely. Small rooms with little light look better with white walls and some mirrors to reflect and move the light around. You have done that.
Wear comfortable indoor tennis shoes when working and an apron it really does help get the job done when one less thing to look around for your phone or that item that you still need. Just a helpful tip since you’re always giving us tips here you go
Oh my gosh! How funny! I’ve been eyeing that same bird blanket for the last year!!! 😍 so random you have it, too! It’s gorgeous and, i think it was made for me! And apparently you!!! 😂
Lovely transformation! Try moving the big green vase in the bookcase to the back of the piano that you can fill with seasonal greenery. A mirror over the chairs is a great idea!
Nope cant doit cant finish this video. 1, starting out trashing minimal mom. Cant get past it. 2. She looks and sounds like the tic tock mom that chained and starved her kids. 3 supposedly she has 8 kids but keeps showing the 1 black kid? Exploiting a preacious child that deserves love and using him as a show piece look at me aint i great i took in a little black kid. She just really creeps me out.
