nice but about Artisan, i dont like them because we cant purchase for "life" anymore but the only way is to rent per year and it costs a lot when we only need to use this addon 2 or 3 times per year....
I make 3d models, what I am looking for is a program that will light a model and rotate the model in front of an image, ground & 3d assets are fine, can a program do this?
Out of curiosity, do you increase the cost of the project when you encounter a situation like this or do you just have a set price and this happens from time to time? As I’m fairly new to modeling I’m always mystified how you’re ever supposed to give a client any kind of baseline when stuff like this comes up and they don’t really understand why it’s any different to model than some of their other homes. I work for a builder that tends to do some complex roofs (nowhere near this complex) but varying slopes/pitches, Dutch gables integrated into hips integrated into mansards etc, makes my head spin 😂
Thank you so much. I am a landscape architect and appreciate the in-depth video. What is your recommendation for building a palette without spending a fortune. Quixel has some but not enough and Globe Plants will break me. Lol
Great video, thank you. What would you do if you have a road that crests over a hill and drops down the other side? Make planar seems to want to keep the road going in one slope direction and does not take into account that the road changes direction down the hill
If I had to do this over again and do the fluid SIM I would have first joined everything into a single watertight VBD mesh (with the new Max Boolean modifier)and used that for the sim.
hello I would like to know if you know how to make the volumetric lights of a 3ds max scene appear when switching to chaos vantage, and in the same way a screen map that has a video as a texture that can be played within the animation, also appears, This volumetric video texture and lighting is not appearing when opening chaos vantage in my normal 3ds max scene they do appear and it animates, but when I go to vantage they no longer appear and they are essential to appear in my animation, I hope you can help me, thank you.
Very nice! Many youtubers haven't really explored working with sloping roads and complex terrain map. Hence their videos don't cover as much details as you have covered. Nice and thanks!
thanks works even better than Topaz but can get better results using both , restoring old photos for a few hours and now they want me to pay hope it resets in a day so I can use it again I also use palette fm to add color to old photos , I was able to use again
Thank you for your detail tutorial! I have a problem with Chaos Vantage live link, the exposure mode in Chaos vantage automatically changes to none instead of physical when I work between 3ds max and Chaos vantage repeatedly, did you experience this?
right at 13:33 I have been there all the time. Can we just let the Exposure to be physical instead of none, my screen light at night with too much exposure hurts my eyes, lol XD
Hey Adam - Great tutorial! And thanks for spreading the word about my caustics textures! I have a few thoughts that I would like to amend to your video: 1. You can skip the IFL Manager step and simply use the VRayBitmap to select any of the image files and enable the "Sequence" checkbox in the lower left corner of the input window. 2. If you want the water displacement to not be stretched, the UVW modifier should be kept square, so I would suggest setting the UVW map size to the same value on all axes (the water and caustics maps are tileable, so the UVW map doesn't have to cover the entire object surface) and then control the tiling in the VRayBitmap or by scaling the UVW modifier subobject. And I couldn't tell if it's enabled in the video, but in order for the Displacement modifier to get the UVW mapping from the UVW modifier below it, the Displacement modifier needs to have a checkbox set for "Use Existing Mapping". 3. When setting playback rates for the textures, users are free to use any value they see fit - but should beware that any fractional values will produce double-frames, or jumps, in the texture animation. For smooth playback, always use whole values like 1 or 2 or 3, etc. Thanks!
