I went there ON PURPOSE back in 1992-ish. HAHAHA, it was at night, didn't look any different then. There was a huge club we went to. And I couldn't wait to get out.
There's a lot worse places than this. We have plenty of shit places to pick from here in NJ. Salem, Bridgeton, Camden, Newark, Trenton, Paterson, Irvington, and many more. All make Marion look like Payton Place
Hey now. You should give riverdale a point or two for amenities because it has Chuck's Gun shop. They've battled Chicago and cooked county for decades to stay open.
30:05, another person moving outta Denver. Grew up in Leadville and lived in Littleton for 20 years. The Denver metro area was a nicer place to live until all the out-siders started moving here. That's when the quality of life in Colorado started going downhill. This brings tears to my eyes...
OK…..taking in the negatives of Denver as reported here, I knew what the answer would be……..Denver has been controlled by Democrats since 1963……61 years……I assume Denver became a sh**thole many years ago. And further research reveals Denver is one of the top places people are moving OUT OF. Let’s hope they change their voting habits when they settle in a more sensible city.

Capitol hill or Crackitol Hill has always been sketchy as all hell! I got mugged up there right across the street from the Capitol building! Cops were half a block away! Too many crack heads there is the problem.
The Hill was where a lot of Mob lived. That would be their primary home, then there would be a weekend home somewhere in Indiana or Wisconsin usually. The really rich Wise Guys would also have a large "Winter Home" someplace warm, like Florida or Arizona or California.

Well the only city in MI I've ever heard tucky put at the end of it is Taylor so Taylortucky & that is literally because so many ppl moved here from the south, they couldn't tell the difference in accents, to work at the big 3. My dad's side from TN & mom's side from NC but I grew up wit a LOT of ppl from KY so...
I would wager mental health issues top the list for homelessness, with many other issues related to this such as difficulty holding jobs, alcoholism, drug use, and difficulty interacting, and adapting to a structured lifestyle. This problem is bigger than a state, and has much to do with the literal trainwreck that is our health care system, insurance companies, and pharmacuetical companies, and the costs, and difficulty obtaining these services associated with it. Simple dental care in this country is a joke, the mental health care is figuratively, and literally insane. Lobbyists, and those in their pockets are ruining our country, not the people IN GENERAL.
I you've got enough money to build in the flood zone you should have to self insure. Don't expect others to pay inflated insurance rates to cover your mistakes.

I was born and raised in Salem, but have lived in Forida, Kentucky, and now Chicago. I don't believe that there is anything wrong in any small town in my home state. We all have our small town ways, but can adjust to the big city if we wish. Youvare just prejudiced against small towns.
I've been following you since your review on Dolton IL, which I live near by. Great coverage. I was wonder if you will be doing a review on Lehigh Acres, FL, I was planing to move there until the cost of living in Florada sky rocketed. Thanks for all your videos and keep up the good coverage.
Maybe one day. My audience doesn’t really dig Florida videos. Hard to justify making more trips down there to film videos if most ppl won’t watch. I do go to Florida occasionally so whenever I’m down there I’ll likely film at least a few videos per trip.
Crime and murders and drugs. And no it's not just a black race issue. And look at Spanish Lake and Florissant and Ferguson and Black Jack and even Hazelwood to see how crime is rampant everywhere.
As your driving video shows, there's nothing much to Conway other than Coastal Carolina University and the Conway Medical Center. (Both of which you didn't show.) Just another small Southern town with crap dollar stores. Not much industry or anything much else to speak of. Just like the hundred-year-old dying small towns in New Jersey like Riverside and Mount Holly. Let's face it; the action is along the beach. If I went to Ocean City, Maryland, I sure wouldn't care about visiting Snow Hill for a day trip. Not dissin' on Conway, but...um...yeah, I am. Maybe your next video should be on Lake City or Dillon.
I lived in Sauk Village on Merrill Ave from the late 70's through the early 90's. I'll agree with a couple comments I read here and for the most part it was a great low income neighborhood for someone to grow up in. But, like many of Chicago's South Suburban neighborhood's it experienced "white flight" (which makes me cringe to even type these words). I've lived in the South Chicago area my whole life and at least for the last 45 years I've been alive we've always had culture clash and even straight up racism. I believe ignorance and fear is mostly to blame. But as far as the decline of these neighborhoods, from what I've learned it seems to stem from government backed (racist) programs that have backfired over many decades. I'm not a conspiracy theorist. I only see corruption, bigotry, incompetence and ignorance. I've seen it in my own communities and I've seen it in our political system and leaders over the decades I've been alive. And it started well before I was born. Not everyone may realize it but our great country has a horrible past. The media, corporate and government policies, housing, workplaces and our educational system have all been major factors in the cultural frictions of our country. Watch the Pruitt-Igoe documentary as another example of institutional racism in our country's past. I believe Chicago experienced the same issues with the "projects" which resulted in the culture clashes of it's South Suburban neighborhoods throughout the 80's and 90's. I'm not a writer or researcher and I wish I could express these ideas with more clarity but hopefully at least some of my fellow South Suburb people understand. I'll end this with a translated excerpt by Voltaire. This was written in 1764 in "Dictionnaire philosophique" and still seems relevant today. Maybe people and society never really change. I won’t trust me. It’s a fine place to go on vacation but not a good place too live. Way too many people. In the next twenty years, that place will be just as crowded as Southern California. Growth isn’t a bad thing, but an unhealthy amounts of growth will cause serious problems with transportation issues and unaffordable housing. People need to learn from Californias mistakes. And it doesn’t matter who you vote for. The more housing shortages and running out of room to grow, will cause housing and places that will be just as unaffordable as San Francisco and LA. I’ll just stay here in Ohio where the cost of living is lower and where investors here or not buying our properties like hotcakes like they are in Florida. And that’s actually one of the main problems as well.
