Currently we are working on WIDI. Which is an entirely Bluetooth MIDI solution for any MIDI instrument. Feel free to learn more here: www.cme-pro.com
Yes, 65ft, yes 👍 You can wirelessly connect to the built-in Bluetooth of your Mac. You can also use it as an advanced Bluetooth MIDI interface to bypass the onboard Bluetooth by plugging it into your USB port. Range is 65ft (30m) without obstacles. WIDI can transmit any MIDI message, including MPE, Sysex and CC/PC
If you plug in the USB keyboard directly in your PC to control your DAW, you can route that signal to your U6MIDI Pro via a second USB connection and control your synth: www.cme-pro.com/u6-midi-pro-usb-midi-interface-routing-filter/ If you want to control your synth directly you can also consider the USB host functionality of the H4MIDI WC: www.cme-pro.com/h4midi-wc-usb-host-midi-interface/ Hope this helps 🤗
These things are PURE GARBAGE!!! I've never had to waste so much time on something that refuses to work. Constantly turning off every thing with Bluetooth after the settings are made only to have the units 6" away and STILL NEVER SYNC. The only thing they sync to is the computer, once the Bluetooth is back on. I've made Groups, I've deleted Groups and tried Auto-Learn. I've followed every instruction...PURE GARBAGE!!!!
I am sorry to hear this has happened and you’ve had this bad experience. I can totally understand this leads to much frustration. Creating groups is an advanced feature, it requires the execution of the entire scenario. We always recommend to explore options in simple mode first, to get a better understanding of what WIDI can do for you, and only expand to an advanced setup based on that experience. In group mode, a tiny bit of latency us added to keep a stable jitter. I am not sure I understand your explanation entirely, but it reads like this might cause the issue at your side. Feel free to reach out to us directly and get the support you deserve. I am sure we can get this up and running with you: www.cme-pro.com/support/#tve-jump-183922d36ae
El WIDI Master puede alimentarse desde la salida MIDI de su hardware MIDI. Si su hardware no suministra alimentación, necesitará WIDI Jack y una fuente de alimentación externa a través de USB-C.

what does it mean when it flashes blue rapidly, but the pattern is not like in any of your examples? it looks more sporadic, less predictable. the device in question should be just solid blue, it’s one of 5 in a group, a peripheral, and is connected to a Roland SPD-SX. If connected to another output, the device acts as it supposed to.
It means that is is either sending or transmitting messages. Maybe you have a constant clock transmitting or another MIDI message. It is normal behavior. If it is a peripheral, your central must respond in a similar way, as it is receiving or sending those messages: www.cme-pro.com/widi-master-start-guide-bluetooth-midi/#tve-jump-18349eea4cb If you need any guidance, feel welcome to join facebook.com/groups/cmeprofans or reach out via www.cme-pro.com/support/#tve-jump-183922d36ae Hope this helps 🙏
Very disappointed with this device. When I plug in the power via a power bank the light on the left is solid turqoise. When I plug in my midi device on the other end, the light on the right is turned on and is solid green. From there on, nothing happens. I can't connect the Widi Uhost to my device using bluetooth. Why is it turqoise and not blue? I have been able to set up the Widi Uhost via bluetooth before so the latest firmware is installed.
Sorry for the inconvenience. If you connect two WIDI devices to each other, one will stay blue, the other turns turquoise indicating it operates as the central. When you connect a WIDI device via Bluetooth to an operating system, it will stay blue as it will always operate as the peripheral of the operating system that acts as the central. This is about the Bluetooth LED on the left. The green LED on the right turns green when you connect the USB side and it powers on. This is normal behavior: www.cme-pro.com/widi-uhost-start-guide-bluetooth-midi-usb-host/#tve-jump-1835c2af79e I guess your WIDI Uhost is automatically connected to the device that you used to upgrade its firmware. This occupies the connection, and at that point it is no longer available to connect to your MIDI device via Bluetooth. That is standard behavior too. You should remove your WIDI Uhost from the general Bluetooth device list of your mobile device used for updating via WIDI App, to avoid this auto-connectivity. Once that is done, the left LED will blink blue slowly, indicating it is waiting for a connection. If your MIDI device has integrated Bluetooth MIDI, they will now be able to auto-connect. You can use group auto-learn to create a fixed connection between your WIDI device and your 3rd party Bluetooth MIDI controller. Please check out the online start guide to understand the LED indicators and locate the scenario for connection instructions for your specific setup. www.cme-pro.com/widi-uhost-start-guide-bluetooth-midi-usb-host/#tve-jump-1835c2af79e If you need more guidance, let me know or reach out via support: www.cme-pro.com/support/ 🙏

@@CMEPro Sorry. You’re right. My bad. Didn’t mean to go “Karen” on you.🙄 I humbly apologize. However, it no longer changes the patches (PC) on my Roland GT-1000Core, as it previously did. As far as I know, nothing was changed on the effects pedal to cause this. Not so sure bout the syntax in Stage Traxx3, however. @@meatmeep3462 internal power requires additional certifications, and will increase the sales price of the device. This while most hardware provides power over MIDI Out. At the same time, we cannot compete with pricing of power options currently on the market. The USB-C solution is the best choice for us, and the majority of the MIDI community. Of course not for all, but I think it is justified with its current price point. Hope this helps to place things in a wider perspective.
@@CMEPro This is not true. MOST hardware devices do NOT provide power. Certain music devices do, like Keyboards or multieffects, but many controllers do not provide power at the MIDI jack. This severely limits the use of the product and makes it unusable for me, as about 80% of my devices do not provide power at the jack, so I agree with meatmeep above. I would happily pay three times more to have internal power as part of the device. Having to attach a third-party battery completely negates the point of having a small MIDI jack device, and makes this unusable as a solution almost anywhere.
@@KudaBear-jy1zl I understand your position on this. The honest story us that it has been considered, but the best option is to offer WIDI Jack with an external power option via USB-C. Actually, WIDI Jack was specifically designed for this scenario. It does exactly the same as WIDI Master, and adds exchangeable cables and external power. This widens the usage of WIDI to unpowered MIDI ports, devices with only MIDI in, TRS MIDI type A/B and even the rare DIN-6 mini, sometimes used by Yamaha. Again, I understand it is not the perfect solution for your scenario, but it delivers a solution for many. From a development perspective, you have to keep in mind that adding batteries has consequences for certification, safety and the design. It requires a different moulding, and a higher cost. As WIDI Master and WIDI Jack already offer a solution for many, the remaining market for your solution becomes small and the price will go up. Not only for certifications and safety requirements, but also for a small market with a small production requirement. These are all decisions we have to take into account, and that is why we are currently at this stage. Of course, an internal battery can be considered, but imagine what it will do for service matters. An external power option is easily replaced. Integrating an internal battery in the design, requires servicing for many years of that exact same model for replacement. Maybe in the future we are able to meet your requirements, as the demand rises for WIDI, making the market large enough for a solution like yours. I hope the above provides you sufficient insights to understand why these kind of decisions are made. I do appreciate and understand your demand for this, but we simply cannot supply that at this moment. 🙏🙏
Yes, it can. If I remember correctly, the Volcas have only MIDI In. If that is correct your solution is WIDI Jack + 5-pin DIN accessory cable, and an external power source via USB-C 😀👍 www.cme-pro.com/widi-which-device-will-you-connect/

Hello, I have a problem with my 2 widi masters. I've had them for about 5 months and they've had little use. At first they worked well. But I had to dismantle the studio and put it back together. Since then I can't transfer midi to my Kontakt 7 program. I didn't change anything about the settings and I checked everything and it seems to be correct. The lights flash rapidly blue on one side and light blue on the other. They always flash quickly, without me touching the instrument.
If it worked before, we should be able to get it working again. Please make sure that you plug in your WIDI Master correctly. The large main adapter needs to go into the MIDI Out and the small sub adapter in the MIDI In. Also, make sure your WIDI Master is not connected to your mobile devices that runs WIDI App. What you explain is a working connection that transmits. Assumably your issue is not associated with the wireless connection, but with settings in your software. Did you check your MIDI channel settings?
