You can create fixed pairs and even groups. This means your WIDI devices will exactly pair as you configure. Next it will use adaptive frequency hopping to automatically transmit on the best performing channel. In general, latency between 2 WIDI device can be reduced to 3ms. WIDI can transmit MIDI. So, if you plug it into a router, you can route as you like. The routing depends on your hardware and is not related to WIDI. @@CMEPro How is that wireless ? All I need is a 5 pin powered out to a receiver. Do they make a rechargeable battery (or battery) by MIDI out ? Guess I have to look into it. What I think I need is a compact 5 pin out with its own power and same for the receiver. These MIDI devices look like the power comes from whatever you plug them into.

You can use WIDI Master as standalone - if your hardware provides power over its MIDI out - you can use WIDI Bud Pro and WIDI Uhost on your operating system side and they will be powered via usb bus power. I can't get it work. I'm using Arturia Minilab 3 with Widiflex. I plugged the longer plug into the midi out socket. I can connect the plug to my Android 12 smartphone, but my smartphone doesn't receive a midi signal. No app works. When I'm using a cable instead (USB C to USB C ) it works. Any ideas?

I just checked some details on the Playwell. It seems like a useful device. As far as I understand their specs it requires an app and an operating system to function via Bluetooth. I guess the Bluetooth of the Playwell is limited and that causes your issue. For a variety of reasons many software developers do not support these drivers. That is why, for instance, Cakewalk and Steinberg software natively supports Bluetooth MIDI and other software does not. That is why we offer two workarounds. I got it working with a Novation Impulse but the thing I really want the Widi Master for,a Yamaha DTX multi 12,does not work. It is in another room 5 metres away. Could that be it? Please help,I am going crazy here.
@@Jellybeantiger not sure what you mean with ‘does not work’. I assume there is nothing wrong with your WIDI device, as it is working with your Novation. If you mean you plug your WIDI device into the MIDI port of your Yamaha, and there is no power. In other words, when plugged in, your WIDI device does not show any indicator LED, it means your hardware device does not support voltage over its MIDI out port. In this case, your solution is WIDI Jack. It is similar to WIDI Master, but it has an external power option via USB-C.
