I have all my music saved on a flash drive and use the "iPod" setting to listen to my music. Can I still play music from the flash drive or is it different? I'm not downloading it all on the unit itself
Great video! I’ve seen very mixed reviews on these! Some people swear by the eonon and others say it’s garbage. Glad to see it looks like this newer model is actually pretty decent. I’m going to need to upgrade my head unit soon and I’m debating how whether to get one of these or to wait for a decent sale for a Sony unit I’d love to see an update in a few months to see if it’s still good without any issues!

@@ColtonRichter May I ask why how come, it says it will fit it will be a cool process of setting it all up please there’s so many different options you can choose from and it would be a really cool sweet mod for interior looks and you don’t see any other Mazdas with it. That’s all I’m asking.

Yeah ,higher octane rating like 98 pulp with some nylon boost and clean which would bring it to 100 octane. You need to always use fuel to keep it clean and working properly properly
THANK YOU! Not enough love gets shown to this generation of speed 3/3!!!! Could you potentially also point out which mods can be compatible w/ the regular 3 (2.3, 2.5, 2.0 skyactiv)? This would open up the build to more people. I have been trying to find a good condition gen 2 Speed 3 in the midwest for forever but they are all rusted to hell. It would be nice to be able to mod my regular 3 and swap parts once I find a good Speed 3.
@@ColtonRichter Neat, thank you. Also this might be a stupid request, but do you know how to remove all the pillars in the interior? I've wrapped all the interior except the Pillars because of the SRS Airbags. I've looked at the service manual and it doesn't really make sense, I've disconnected the battery and followed it to a T and they still don't come loose, are there screws/clips that still hold them in? The Gen 2 interior is way easy to wrap, except the pillars so it might be a neat video idea for this build. I've got the VVIVID Electric blue 4D carbon fiber wrap for my build, and I think it might suit yours well too.
Hey Colton, I gotta say bro, its so nice having another Mazda Nerd on the internet. I have had my Mazda 6 2012 with the 2.5 L for four years now as the second owner and just put 150,000 miles or 241,000 km on the same engine. Seeing your channel last year really got me into taking better care of my car and looking at ways to save money on upgrades and maintenance. I bought brand new headlight assemblies and installed some really nice LED headlights, I also have a cold air intake upgrade coming soon, but my next mod is to upgrade the exterior. I live in Southern Arizona where the average day is 16-17 hours long and the average temp is 110 Fahrenheit or 48-50 Celsius during the summer, so taking care of my exterior has always been a challenge. My roof was vinyl wrapped by the previous owner but he left it in the San Diego sun too long, so I have had issues with it. After finishing my paint job I plan on moving to wheels, breaks and suspension. Hopefully I can do a new exhaust in the next year as well. Your videos has been such an inspiration, and its so funny that not even two days ago I was talking to my buddy who is looking to buy a car he can mod easy. I mentioned that he should look at Mazda, and he wanted to do a Hot Hatch so I told him about the good old MazdaSpeed 3s. Not even a day later and you post about your next journey with a MazdaSpeed 3 Haha. I can't wait to see what you have in store and for my buddy to soon be gapping me in his new hot hatch. Keep it up man!
I have a 2008 Mazda 3 2.3L no turbo I have been searching the internet to see the difference from the TC version a the N/A because I want to make mine a speed. I haven't been able to fine anything on it and I need some help any info would help but I was wondering would it be worth it to get all the parts to make mine a speed with a bigger turbo or just sell it to get a speed and upgrade that. any info would help. If I do put a turbo on the non speed version I will try to post it.
ive had my almost bone stock gen1 about 6 months now. I don't drive it much, but it has it lil issues so I'm super happy to see someone knowledgeable making content on this platform again. love your stuff man. :)
Im living thru your channel man lol, Im 22, broke as shit fresh college graduate making $13/hr, and had been saving up for a gen2 speed3 for a few months now since I have a base 2012 Mazda 3 hatch and absolutely love it but just wish it had more power and was "cooler." Was very close to attaining the needed money but then my engine threw a rod on my way to work 2 weeks ago 🫠. Just spent so much money on getting a new engine put in it so now Im back to square one. Im so determined to get one, so Im very excited to watch your build!

please hit the speed3 forums for the best do's and dont's advice like high pressure fuel pump internals and the tune for it as well as dont go full boost at low rpm's- like dont come close to maxing out your boost gauge when you get on the throttle at low rpm's thats what blows these engines... ZOOM ZOOM BOOM BABY😅
currently in the middle of this project and i can not get this downpipe to budge at all. i have all bolts out but one because i cant reach it and need to go buy a tool, but even with one bolt left, the downpipe doesn’t budge at all am i missing something?
Thanks for posting! l have a defender, my battery is under my seat and there is not a lot of room to put subw etc in? is there an easier way to add base without the big subwoofer 🙏 nothing is easy to fit in my land rover!😂 old td5 and l like things to look tidy. probably shouldn’t say this, but I’m glad you’ve got a 12 inch.😮😂
