Come on a journey of discovery and excitement with a, channel dedicated to aerial photography of local landmarks as well as other beautiful sites around the country. Please subscribe, like and share, for more great videos coming soon. By the way my young Son designed my logo and banner for me. Thank you all for stopping by. 👍
@@robharding5345 Hi Rob, it certainly is. And it's great to think it has stood the test of time. It was one of only a few remaining chimneys that the late Fred dibnah worked on. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for stopping by, Del👍
@@fruitanvegg7281 Yes, unfortunately due to enclosed brick structure the signal would cut out. Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed the video. Del 👍
Even though I didn't go to school here, I feel the sadness. All the memories that must have been made there. Both my own primary and secondary schools have gone... Very sad.
It is indeed, it certainly stirred up a lot of memories for people when I put this video up. I left there in 1985, it was very emotional videoing it for a month and a half during demolition, and then watching it back. I'm glad you liked the video. Del👍
Nicley done mate, Now that's what I call a chimney lol, I bet you were one of the two guys in the field looking towards the drone lol, A huge like from me.
Thanks Chris, I love flying and capturing these pieces of the Industrial revolution. Victorian architecture is something to behold and certainly stands the test of time. I was actually in a closer position, just below the chimney. There is a carpark just below, obscured a bit by trees, but you can fly and get a good view at the same time.😁 👍
Cheers bro, glad you liked it. Managed to capture it on a lovely day, although it was windy. Paying for music now, as the stuff I had was old and a bit crap. 🤣😂
Thank you, it is a beautiful place. Thankfully the weather was nice on the day, but quite windy although you can't tell on the video. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Del. 👍
Aww it is so sad, and hard to believe I left in 1985. I was just glad I was able to capture it before it went. It has opened up a lot of fond memories for people, since I posted the video. I'm glad you enjoyed watching it. Del👍
Thank you. It is certainly the end of an era, and quite a dramatic change to a well known skyline. There are a further four towers on the opposite side. I think they are scheduled for demolition sometime this year. Thanks for stopping by. Del👍
There is an interesting design of aircraft, but they rarely talk about it, because this thing is secret. The topic of pulsed plasma thrusters has been developed since the early 60s (see PPT - Pulsed plasma thruster) - they are usually designed for spacecraft. But we will talk about a little-known design - these are plasma propulsion panels for aircraft, where the same Pulsed plasma thruster, but reduced to the size of a pencil and stacked in the form of cells in the panel. The design resembles a conventional plasma TV screen, where there are also discharge cells that activate the glow of pixels on the screen. And plasma propulsion panels have long discharge cells, the arrester has a railgun architecture (just rail contacts or coaxial), and the ionized discharge air is accelerated there by the Lorentz force to enormous speeds - a kind of ramjet engine is obtained. Just imagine! - tens of thousands of small ramjet engines assembled in a panel and firing plasma synchronously with a huge frequency (hundreds of kilohertz). Thus, plasma propulsion panels create lift by pulsed emission of plasma jets from railgun cells. There are tens of thousands of cells in the panel, they shoot at a frequency of hundreds of kilohertz, a huge pulse is obtained, and the plasma swirls the air into toroidal rings - the aircraft is held on this air cushion. Horizontal acceleration is created by the same plasma panels on the sides of the device (they glow, from the side they look like "portholes"). Such devices like "triangle" or "disk" have been observed for a long time, they are mistaken for alien ones - but these are terrestrial devices. They are classified and used for espionage and secret actions. Pulsed electromagnetic technology generates microwave radiation, therefore it is harmful to health. They rarely fly - only military missions. Therefore, they are not suitable for a citizen. This maintained the secrecy. Now they are already declassifying - many people know about this secret technique. When declassified, they will be used for cargo airships. But there is a danger that they are now going to be adapted to deliver small nuclear charges to decision-making centers - such means of delivery are not specified anywhere, are not conventional. This lowers the threshold for starting a war. It would be necessary to declassify them as soon as possible. That's why I'm writing about it.
First time we had been, it was a great place to fly. Yes that sounds like a plan, hopefully we can sort something out in the year when the weather's a bit better. 👍
Hi Chris, we certainly did. It was a bit thicker earlier in the morning but I was in work. So I could only get to fly in the afternoon. But thankfully managed to capture it. I'm surprised you haven't had any snow, especially as you are in Sheffield on the east coast. It usually gets quite a battering, like Scotland. There is supposed to be more coming in early February, so fingers crossed. Del👍
Beautifull landscape, love the contrast between the lime green of the valley, and the quite depressing color of the hills. A timelapse on a semi-cloudy day would look amazing! Maybe I will go there one day!
Thank you, it is beautiful up in the Lake District. We go there quite often, some great places to fly, can highly recommend. I only did a short time lapse on this video. The views from high up are amazing. Del 👍
Sadly it is like many iconic structures. That's one of the many reasons I took up drone flying. So that I could capture and preserve them before they are lost for all time. Thanks for watching. Del👍
Thanks David, I was tempted I must admit. But knowing they were prepping for demolition, my conscionse got the better of me. Glad you enjoyed the flight. 👍
@@4-wheels-uk Hi John, no. The last four videos where. Prior to that it was with the mini 2. And what a drone that was, highly recommend the mini 2 as a great beginners drone. 👍
