I got 2 maltese and are super bright, if you even d your research their intelligence is quite high on the rank.. I spent 5 minutes training the bacis with my dog and he learnt it. They dont shed and are super responsive and easy to train. Also very aware of their environment. They sometimes even behave like guard dogs. Otherwise they are very friendly and like playing with family and friends. Even strangers they are very kind to them but they will bark at them until you approve of it. Mine always look at me to see my reaction towards strangers or if they walk to far from me then they come back. So I never lose them even when hiking without a leash. It's all about training honestly.
Have had EP's my entire adult life, as soon as I could afford to buy 1. They have all been the loves of my life and my husband fell in love with them too! Sweet, funny, affectionate...and gorgeous. We had 1 so fast you would have thought her a greyhound. All personalities have been very different.
My Bolognese rarely barsk. He is a non-watchdog. He's also quite anti-social except for our family. But he's highly intelligent with a large vocabulary. He's very affectionate but n=doesn't like us or drool. He also hates going outside and would rather just lie on me.
Breed Type: Group: Hunting Dogs???? I think there might be a little clue in the name of both of these breeds as to which group they actually belong in 'Kerry Blue TERRIER' and 'Irish TERRIER', the Irish terrier is the second largest breed in the TERRIER group. Source: American Kennel Club, British Kennel Club, Cruffs.
I've both dog breeds at the same time,I think they both are very good.but it depends on what your hunting for, they work really good together,in terms of quail or pheasant, the pointers range out further but if you train a short hair to range he's just as good, both breeds retrieve good but the short hair will retrieve out of water,it's hard to get a pointer to retrieve out of water,in maybe a pointer will be better at training because they're quail masters ,but a short hair will hunt anything if you train him to due so,just my opinion,in again I've had both dogs in hunted them together for years.
GPs, Maremmas and Kuvasz are great cattle and farm guardians that with a little breeder intervention transform into proper pets for most households that provide them with space, they will never work well for small apartments or houses, and need being exercised if they lack a yard big enough.
Chows are f'n crazy. If youre a dog lover type dont ever touch this dog this dog is for smart ppl. Once again, chows are f'n crazy. A Chow runt of the liter makes the perfect family dog. Alpha Chows are for intelligent gangsters. Raised a runt as a child in the 80s, his brother, sister and their offspring were all devils lol
Kuvasz breeder here. Several wrong info here. 1 kuvasz do not drool, pyr do.2 hip and elbow issues have been eliminated in all of Canada, 3 preydrive is pedigree dependent 4 kuvasz have zero backyatd breeders in Canada. All breeders offer mentorship and health guarantees vs pyr where the marked is flooded with lots of ill bred dogs. 5 kuvasz are not exactly hypoallergenic but are are much less so than most breeds meaning ppl with low sensitivities wont notice anything with kuvasz. 6 kuvasz have stronger working instincts - again going back to too mane ill-bred pyrs on the market.
Is it hard to find customers for good Lifestock Guardian Dogs? Since I know a lady she's having perfect Kuvasz working dog puppies looking for work. Send a comment down below and I can forward more information about her. Puppies are CKC registered, vet checked, microchipped and raised on her farm, exposed to livestock.
Several corrections for Belgians: Prey Drive: often quite strong so they don’t always get along with cats unless the cat is confident and the dog is raised with cats from a young age. Barking: They are average to low barkers. First time owners: NO! This is not because they are stubborn like the video said. Belgians are extremely trainable and intelligent but still aren’t good for first time owners because they have high prey drive and lots of energy. They like to work and need to be properly socialized and well trained from a young age. For their entire life they will need daily activity for about an hour a day in total RAIN or shine to satisfy their intelligence, desire to work, and athletic needs. If they don’t have this daily outlet and proper upbringing both the owner and the dog will suffer. BUT if you are willing and committed to giving the dog what it needs and have a stable lifestyle that’s 100% not going to change for the next 15 years then they can be absolutely amazing dogs in the right situation.
Dutchies usually get along very well with other dogs as long as they’re properly socialized at a younger age to accept other dogs. Dutchies are absolutely NOT good for first time dog owners. They have a high prey drive and want to work. If you don’t train them from an early age and have time to exercise their busy mind and athletic body for at least a total of an hour a day, EVERY SINGLE DAY (RAIN or shine) then both you and the dog will suffer. If you are committed to the required training and daily activity regimen and have a stable lifestyle (you’re 100% not going to change jobs or get too busy for the dog)then they are absolutely amazing in the right situation. They love to learn and love to be with their people. Super affectionate, so don’t get one if you’re gone a lot. Dutchies are essentially striped Belgian Malinois.
I can’t speak for Chows, but the Samoyed comments were pretty accurate (I’ve had 5.) The strange thing is a lot of people ask me if my Sammy is a Chow Chow. I never saw a white Chow before, but a search found a few. Anyway, when people ask, “does he bite?” I tell them “I’m more likely to bite you than he is.” My boy loves dogs, cats, strollers (cause they know there are kids in them,) kids, kids on skateboards, anyone sitting on a bench or blanket at the local college, people in wheelchairs- basically everyone. He brings joy to everyone he meets. He goes everywhere with me, and is never more than 10 feet away if he can help it. A great dog and a great friend.
In terms of performance, you are comparing a high-performing athlete to a hard-working man. In terms of personality, the one is an old-style English novice man and the other is a blue-collar worker.
0:53 what's "easy to groom, doesn't require a lot of grooming." Every 2 days, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, every 2 weeks? And dobies only have one layer of coat but Beauceron has two. And sheds twice a year.

Actually the Newfoundland Dog original came from Newfoundland before Newfoundland was a part of Canada. Newfoundland didn't join Canada until 1949 so technically it didn't originate in Canada.
Whatever they say, the main difference between a rough collie and a sheltie is the established, stable parameters of the standard. The Sheltie is an immature breed, the representatives of which display very different characters and habits; they are very restless dogs. The rough collie is an aristocrat of the dog tribe and therefore a collie forever.
My first dog when I moved to France was a Basset Artesien Normand. The breeder told us he came from a litter "hunter/show" dog. Mortimer (his name) turned out to be a hunter and luckily my father-in-law hunted every weekend during the season (I hate hunting, btw). He came back one Sunday with Mortimer and said he had never seen this happen before : there was a pheasant sitting in the tree and Mortimer saw him and barked loudly (they have very loud voices) - the pheasant dropped down from the tree after a heart attack (apparently) - dead ! He proudly carried the poor pheasant home and settle himself in my favourite chair ( impossible to get him to leave the pheasant for 2 days) - they are very obstinate dogs !!!!
I call BS its obvious you have never owned or hunted behind either of these dogs, I truly wish people would research prior to posting these ill informed comments. yes I know everyone thinks their dog is the best, again research trials dogs that are actually have to perform not just look pretty..
There are no hypoallergenic dogs. A dog has between 1-6 proteins that can cause allergic reactions. Four of the proteins are in the dogs blood, and goes out to the dogs skin and "dandruff". One of the proteins is in the dogs saliva, and one is in the urine of "male dogs" that are not neutered. It's not the hair that fall on the floor that cause allergies. It's the dog itself! An allergic person can be allergic to one of the proteins, all six, or something in between. A dog can have anything between one and six of the proteins. It has nothing to do with the dog breed. A giant schnauzer can have six allergen, a collie or a german shepard only one, or vice versa. A chinese crest can have most of the allergenes and a huskey only one, and so on... The puppies from the same litter, all have different, individual "set-ups" of allergenes. An allergic person can tolerate one german shepard, but be allergic to another shepard from the same litter... It's sad, but true! In Sweden there are tests, one that test the dogs allergenes, and one that test what allergenes a person react to. There may even be a vaccin avaliable soon, to dog, cat and horse allergies! 😊
common, only idiots would prefer that iranian dog. The snout of the Afghan is a little bit more Schäferhundish and that hair is unique in the dogworld, its only because the buitthurtness that someone would "prefer" that boring version.
Boxers are high energy, extremely affectionate, stubborn and not easy to train, they are very vocal and also bark a LOT. Also they have an extremely high prey drive and also will more easily bite another dog even fight with the dogs it lives with. They are amazing with children and their handlers. They have some of the worst health of any breed. But they are worth having in your life they are one of the best breeds. They are not for everyone and need a more experienced dog person. Also they are high energy and yappy and would not be easy to have in an apartment.
