Could you please explain how you deal with things such as phantom sensations from your limbs or if you get any of these phantom sensations? Also is walking more tiring for you because of your use of prostheses and how do you deal with this as well? Do you feel that the school you go to is well laid out for people with disabilities to use? Thank you for your time and keep up these wonderful video sessions
I got meningitis 2 weeks after I got married, it was such a scary time for my husband and I . My eyes would move uncontrollably and I could t walk straight for weeks I was close to dying as well because it spread to my brain. So happy to be here ❤
Well, if there is one really good thing that has come out of this, it is the fact that you will never get hangnails. Fingernails and toenails can be such a pain.
Something I'd really like to know (because I want to include it in an educational episode of my puppet series): Do you remember what it feels like to have hands and feet? If the answer is no, how long did it take the memory to fade?
I got viral meningitis in 2005. It almost killed me, literally. I had the same symptoms…. As the night went on, it got worse and worse and worse. I went to bed thinking I caught the flu. Next thing I remember I’m in the hospital. I laid in bed for 5 days with a splitting headache,. The flesh on my body felt like it was burning off with each touch,. Work got worried and called my mom. My mom called an ambulance when she arrived because I was unresponsive. Doctor said the dehydration and raging infection in my body would’ve killed me if it would’ve gone on longer. I’m very fortunate to have survived. Meningitis is very serious.
It’s really crazy how immature and inconsiderate people are. Listening to the things you said that bother you is sad. It’s sad bc ppl actually do those things and it’s somethin all the time for you I’m sure. I mean you have to go to bed and wake up everyday for the rest of your life with your body so why do ppl wanna make u sad or uncomfortable? Instead ppl should be extra nice to you and be happy to see a young woman who’s survived a life changing illness out still living her live!! If I ever was blessed enough to get to meet u in person I’d 100% come up to you and introduce myself and exchange a light hug!! I gotta say for myself I think your incredibly beautiful and the way u do as much on your own as u possibly can is sexy af and the way u will still dress in ways that put your body and shapes an curves on full display is great!! Never feel like u need to cover yourself up. Ever. Keep being gorgeous love!!
You don't see many if any amputee actors because they can't act. At least you admit you do no research and it's all just your feelings. I'm an amputee but that don't define me. I was hired to do my job because I strive to be the best and I'm better than most others. You don't get jobs by just showing up and expect to get hired just because your an amputee. Hollywood don't care about reality. They care about budgets and money. You can watch any movie and pick out many things that don't make sense. That's why most, if they care for accuracy, hire an amputee to coach the actor. Like they do with all the big actors that play military roles. Or do people think the actors are all Special Operations soldiers? lol
