Go back at your old time to remember about “RSS” by using your ASL, which it gives us to understand that word in a simple way. So I look it up the dictionary that defines RSS from our internet. RSS (noun) : a computer document format that enables updates to websites to be easily distributed 😃👍
I'm not Deaf but I have laryngitis and your video was very inspiring. Thank you for signing easily enough for someone like me with very rusty ASL to get the gist of what you're saying. I'm worried that I won't be better by Saturday but I don't want to tell people I have laryngitis (even if it's not contagious) cause I don't want them to think my boss made me work while sick! (..even if that is the case) I was able to get today covered but I put in my 2 weeks earlier this week so it looks really bad. Thanks again.
In Israel, Deaf people get so much amount of "free" sign language interpreter services per year from the government. The government in our country SHOULD seriously consider doing the same thing. I am so tired of being left out in amazing hearing workshops/meetings/social events/etc.
And the telephone invention that was stolen, was officially awarded to Antonio meucci, posthumus recently. My poor kids have had one heck of a time because i teach them this type of thing. I was called in one day because one kiddo called Christopher Columbus a killer and a jerk... Can't say I'm sorry about the children arguing with the white washed history. What a grandest hypocritical statements made by Dr Karl White. Why does CI still continues on marketing medical treatment as expertimential study for more than 20 years? Let me explain about LASIK treatment which has approved by FDA and NHS on market less than 10 years. Check out this link.... I am not sure because we did not see any prove about what Dr. White said "Deaf people do not know what to do with Deaf babies.." on the video. Dr. White said his sign language is bad, so that could be a problem. He claimed that he did not say about Deaf people do not know what to do with Deaf babies.
terri romanowicz True, if they don't like it, they got wrong man (Dr. White), they should contact with Legislation from gov't. Sometime Gov't can shut down on CI's business or they can make law for minors cannot have CI. (only if they pass new law.) You can contact your local legislation, just tell them why you don't like CI. you need to explain them to understand better and they might listen you. Good day.

Hi Jade! :-) Nice to see your comment here! I had great experience as actor that nice to have knowledge by opposite of roles after I had experience as writer, director and cinematographer (sides of crew and cast).
1. If you are going to participate in making decisions for a culture/community, at a minimum, learn the language of that culture/community so you can speak intelligently with members of the community. At the very least, hire a certified interpreter for yourself, so you don't make yourself look like a fool. It is apparent that Mr. White communicates with a simplified and beginner level MCE/SEE (Manual Coded English/Signing Exact English) which has been shown by linguists to not be a language, but, rather, a tool developed by audiologists to try to teach basic forms of English to young children. It is not fully expressive and cannot allow a meaningful or intelligible conversation to occur. A discussion involves, at a minimum, 2 parties. If you are just going to express your viewpoint (however rudimentary your proficiency in the dialect) without listening to the other side (and how are you to do that without being able to speak fluently and effectively?), then, in fact, you are just issuing decrees, not really discussing. And how are you qualified to make decisions that affect that community/culture if you have no interaction with it? Now, how can I claim Mr White has no real interaction with the community? If he did, he would have known that the ability to communicate effectively in American Sign Language (ASL, the natural language of the American Deaf) is only way that you will be allowed to participate in that people group. Having interaction with a community is critical to understanding it. How can you make intelligent decisions for the group when you do not understand it? 2. Stop discriminating against the community. Just because an individual cannot hear, does not have any bearing on if he or she has less understanding or competence than yourself. This is true of all areas of life, including raising children. A mentality that assumes a Deaf individual needs assistance, just because he or she cannot hear, is fully objectifying of the Deaf person and paternalizing. That mentality views the audiologist as the Deaf person's savior from himself or herself, since he or she is "incompetent to function." In this particular situation, it is to say that the Deaf individual is unqualified to make intelligent decisions about the care of his or her children. From my own experience with my wife who is Deaf, when our daughter was born, the hospital sent a representative to inquire if I felt that my wife was capable of caring for our child while I was at work. This was outrageous! I required some well-needed discussions with the hospital staff regarding how offensive those statements are. This man is no different and is completely unqualified to offer any, and I repeat *ANY*, insight into issues affecting the Deaf and should be removed immediately, be subjected to well-needed ASL classes, be required to spend days with the Deaf community that he just objectified, and be required to become educated about the rich culture of Deaf before any reinstatement of his office should be issued...
I really enjoyed your video. I think that it is important to show other people that Deaf individuals can do and work jobs just as well as hearing people. I found it very funny that you had to deliver to another Deaf man who was upset that you weren't on time but once he found out that you are also deaf and know asl was forgiving and excited to see Deaf individuals working. also I found it funny that you commented on the lousy tip that you were given. I hope this video helps other people realize that you are just as capable as a Deaf individual delivering pizza! writing and texting works great! :)

We have a system in Sweden as you wish. It is tax that goes to the interpreter cost. This means that your organiationer eg NAD must file a motion to the government. To form a system for interpreting cost. But I know it's not as much as you pay for the tax that we do here. It's complicated in the U.S. but there must be some other solution in this case. Nothing is impossible.
Umm I would like to see the proof that he is actually say that and the email that spent to you. You shouldn't rush the judgment on Karl and try to kick him out with petition like that. He said his language is terrible so he could cause everyone misunderstood. Yeah Im deaf, but would like to see the proof.
