Individual and group vocals and production/mixing line distribution on the whole album are all great IMHO. Hyoyeon and Sunny and Sooyoung got some some unusual and deserved 'vocal time' amongst some of these tracks. I would have liked to have heard more of Yuri who I think is under-rated as a vocalist, but that's just the way it goes. 'Freedom' is the only song that doesn't really impact me as the others do, it's merely 'really nice' . Devil is odd and 'experimental' and I like it because of that. Everything else is just excellent, even by SNSD's high standards. Very , very few 'belts' which we know Tae Ti Seo can do, but then they weren't needed. This whole album really shows how artful, how subtle and how sophisticated they are as a vocal group.
Yoona’s voice at the end of Paper Plane sends chills down my spine EVERY TIME! The vid says it’s Seohyun but they got it wrong. This was when the album first came out. They didn’t sing the song live yet. Best SNSD album for me!
Appreciate you pausing to speak and commentate rather than talking over her when you brought up how she spoke her mood change to match the song. First time listening and already you give her the respect her talent deserves!!!!
Solar gives me life! I just can't with her crazy antics. Byulie absolutely killed 'Sweet Little Kitty' so proud of her! And of course MAMAMOO is just pure uncensored chaos and life-giving.

When you thought something wasn't timed properly in "Liar", I was thinking there was a pause like part of the instrumentals were sucked into a vacuum for a portion of a beat. Reminds me of how all the noise just ends when there's a blackout. In a loud factory the noise just goes VOOP!, and it's silent.

There's no doubt that Forever1 is quite different than the rest of SNSD's catalog. As a life long fan of theirs I can honestly say that Forever1 is my favorite album of theirs. So many 10 star songs. Mood Lamp, Closer, and Summer Night are three of the best songs you'll ever hear.
