Aww, Crow is my favorite song, the meaning is really beautiful. The message Jun wanted to convey in that solo, as you can see, is very important to him. It's about self-acceptance and that love has no boundaries. Jun said 'When you accept yourself and accept others who are different from you, you will realize that 'crows are also beautiful' and that even crows bravely soar for love'. Some of my favorite parts of the song are: "Even if i say nothing, i am repugnant to many people. I am unable to escape. All others just watch, no one offers a help" "People regard me as bad while I am not. Wandering alone in the street. Ignoring the sight of others. Crows in the world are all black. But that not means they are heartless and inconsiderate. There is no difference between love. Crow can also be brave to fly for whom he loves" "Give me/yourself a chance to prove that I am/you are beautiful as well" He worked with a gay couple from Malaysia. It was their first song and they said they were very thankful that Jun chose them 🥺♥️.

He is so amazing. I definetly agree that Limbo was perfectly designed for his voice. I was scared that his solo would go in a too "trendy" way, and that I wouldn't like it. But it's an incredible catchy song for him that doesn't denature his unique voice and his personality ! Also Crow and Silent Boarding Gate (his other recent solo) brings me chills every time...

I'm so glad you reacted to crow as well! it's actually one of my favorite songs of all time, even outside of kpop. it's about self acceptance and accepting others who are different from you. and how even "crows" (people who are different/outcast from society) are capable of love and capable of being beautiful too. it was actually written and produced by a gay Malaysian couple and as a lesbian myself the lyrics really touched me 🥺 also to answer your question, the song is in Mandarin! jun grew up in Shenzhen so he actually did grow up speaking Cantonese as well, but he's said he's forgotten a lot of it bc nowadays he doesn't have the chance to use it much :') so if you see jun (or minghao) speaking chinese there's a 95% chance it's mandarin! jun really killed it with limbo as well. he has several other solo songs as well, but so far they've all been ballads similar to crow. so this was a new concept for him as a solo artist but he really pulled it off! if you have any interest in listening to his other solos, you can search for "can you sit by my side?", "silent boarding gate", and "fall in love". he also has an OST called "dream", they're all fantastic songs, if you liked crow you'll probably like his other solos :3

Crow is so beautiful, I've never heard it before (baby carat here too although I've watched... A LOT of their history at this point, all of GoSe, tons of live singing clips, a hefty amount of variety and reality content, MVs, etc). *actual tears* His voice has grown so much since his early debut days, too. But he is so talented, what a superstar. As a side note, I will say that LIMBO sounds even better in Chinese, too, btw.

I'M CRYING SO MUCH THANK YOU FOR THIS!!!!! and yes, Crow is really about accepting yourself and accepting the differences of others! i really love Crow because it showcases a different vocal color for Jun, as he usually gets parts that uses a slightly higher vocal register. please also react to Silent Boarding Gate! It was released on the same year as Crow. Silent Boarding Gate has a somewhat faster(????) pacing than Crow, and in my own interpretation, SBG is mostly about transitions, like not knowing when you will leave or arrive or something like that. you're stuck, not knowing where to go or how to move on. this verse of SBG is my favorite and it will always ALWAYS make me cry "At the boarding gate I don't know where to go, I'm the one who can't let go There's a path but I don't have the heart to take it How long does it take for someone to say "I'm better now":
