Wtf it was the opposite for me (opacity at 0) Thanks for this, but seriously I don't get why inkscape makes so many stupid design decisions. Why would the default be 0% opacity/alpha? Why don't gradient meshes just start with the same color instead of that offputting checker pattern I have to fill in anyways (and why can't they conform to shapes or select several nodes at once). Why does the circle tool draw arcs by default?! You'd think inkscape was punnishing graphic illustrators and designers by being needlessly inefficient

Hello. What if I only want the outline, after i click (x) on fill the outline is showing at first but then if i try to put an object within the outline, the outline disappears. It's there if I look at the layer, but it's not showing for editing.
