Pan Saltz Caballeratos Military Archery. A military veteran's channel with an interesting heritage background coming from "two worlds". Like two wings of a hawk that spread out, reaching the two borders of the Western Civilization. Themes : combat, survival, tactical skills, martial arts, philosophy and historical recreations. "Advanced Native American Archery" (Hawk Combat System), ANAA HAWK for short, is the general name of my fighting arts. It includes mastery on modern and ancient weapons, hand to hand combat and improvised inventions. It is a combination of knowledge advancing the lost Navajo and other Southern Plains Indians martial arts / guerrilla warfare, to be used within the military. And obviously Archery is crowned on top in this channel. Everything is correlated, you can't fight if you can't survive and you don't know why you fight if you don't have spiritual purpose. Various original prepper patent skills are shown from a veteran's perspective that might save lives.

What's the farthest distance you can shoot a bow with almost a 100 percent accuracy?
@PanSaltzCaballeratos
@PanSaltzCaballeratos 3 дня назад
If I'm focused and experienced with my bow then 22 yards (20 meters) can reach 100% success rate if my target has the size of a wide human chest. For more clumsy and free minded shooting (and speed shooting), 11 yards (10 meters) is a distance that I don't allow myself to miss a shot.

@@PanSaltzCaballeratos I think blow guns are no joke a breath can make a dart travel at very high speeds and with a thin metal shaft and a brodhead friction is minimal and it can pas right though a wild bore. There is a RU-vid channel where a guy does such things. He also hunts javelina with a Osage orange style Comanche bow. I wonder how much power you could get from a blow gun. Brother, you can try to hold the tail of the arrow with your index finger and thumb while using your middle finger, ring finger and little finger to hook the string. You can make the arrows more longer, (about 82cm)which can increase your draw length,and in this way, when you're shooting at a distant target, the parabola of the arrow will be smaller and more powerful and penetrating.

That is a really nice bow. I have found that the Asian (outside) draw is a little bit easier to use because it allows for prone, sitting, kneeling and standing shooting positions. It also allows for you to shoot over walls or flat on your back so your cover/concealment is less compromised. Your shooting style uses both the inside and outside draws so you can use the best technique for the situation.

That unorthodox style draw you used near the end I think is actually the Iishi draw. He was of the Yahi people of Northern California, but he used a style where you draw with the thumb, lock it in with the middle finger and fold the index finger to pinch the arrow onto the string. Idk if that’s the Indian pinch grip or not (I’ve never used nockless arrows, not yet anyway). Did you use the thumb to pull it back at all? My variation of it is to use the Korean style grip (I’m doing it off a Korean bow) and instead of resting it on the middle finger (because it feels awkward and inconsistent) rest it on the thumb of the bow hand which sits right next to the arrow pass. And the shooting hand I’m using a thumb ring because the bow is 60lbs (the longbow is around 55 ish). It takes most of the pressure off, but because I’m wearing it it also moves my finger/nail a centimetre or so forward in front of the string. So instead of damaging that finger and ruining my shot I’ll just point down the arrow instead. Slight pressure so I don’t point the arrow up too much and the rest stays the same. That’s actually my most accurate and consistent style of thumb shooting too
@PanSaltzCaballeratos
@PanSaltzCaballeratos 6 дней назад
Hello Brother! You are right about the Ishi style. I really like it. It gives me extremely good accuracy when it comes to small game. I'm really glad to see more friends of these old arts.
@rooroo9216
@rooroo9216 12 дней назад
The other style of loading (particularly with the longbow and if I’m in a competition indoors where it’s tightly packed) is I’ll take the arrow out the quiver, turn the bow towards me slightly and pass the arrow through between the string and the bow. Being careful not to prod the limb with the arrow tip because it can scratch the bow. Speaking of bows, I like yours btw! Did you make it? What’s the draw length, poundage etc?
@PanSaltzCaballeratos
@PanSaltzCaballeratos 6 дней назад
Thank you! Yes I make every bow, arrow and quiver seen in my videos. I make 30lbs light bows. Mainly designed for speed shooting.
@rooroo9216
@rooroo9216 12 дней назад
This is the same technique I use, the only thing is if I use a back quiver (I do a lot) and I’m shooting off the other side I’ll swing the arrow from underneath and catch it with the index finger of the bow hand. Even with Mediterranean draw, if I grab the arrow further up the shaft by accident, I just use the same thing, drop it onto the bow, slide/twist forward, slide backward (forward- to move the nock next to the string, twist- do this at the same time to align the “odd” feather right, backward- let go with the bow hand finger and the shooting hand slides back and nocks the arrow). That’s the same with both thumb and finger styles, shooting off the left and right pretty much.

My custom short Turkish (79cm unstrung 97cm stung) Horn fibre laminate finally arrived today after 7months. its f**king lush, so sexy. She's alot weaker than any of my bows at 45lbs with a capped out 27" draw, which for me is really short. she's Designed for 22-25" which gets me about 35-37lbs if memory serves. about 155-165fps. my new one is to be the fastest bow i have as far as handling is concerned. i've been practicing your archery style now for awhile but i wasn't really on board with the light light bow's, although i didn't disagree i could just pull bigger bows fast so why wouldn't i? also i didnt have access to something, 50lbs is my lightest bow. i had 2x Comanche style D bows made with bamboo, there 50lbs 20" which im overdrawing to about 25" i called her Corvid as it has that black and white horn and backed in black leather, look going. shes a pretty little bird. ill be looking for some Corvid feathers, preferable a magpie but ill take whats given.

When I'm practicing on the range I get comments about my misses, to which I reply my style isn't hunting or competition, its reactionary for people and war. I would love to never miss, but to me combat archery is about attrition. I know the likelihood of hitting is lowered when speed shooting, might as well blow through the clip. Its why I love your channel and your apocalypse arrows, the fletching and nockless nock are literally under a penny each (assuming one buys in bulk) and the only real cost is the sharp tip and shaft (both of which I'm experimenting to find that sweet spot of cost and good enough).
