love this build. i have a very similar build going on. i was in contact with karcepts back in the spring and they do still produce the hubs. they must do a small batch here and there when they get enough interest. also can verify the d series cable vss fits and works in a k trans, at least in my 5spd ep3 trans it does. have not verified how accurate it is yet but it moves the gauge. great video as well, highlights all the parts we wanted to see.
For the hubs, get the spindles machined to accept the DC/EG wheel bearing. Press the 36mm DC wheel bearing and you're set. That's what I'm currently running on my 2nd gen Integra. Karcepts 36mm hubs meant for a DC2.
Interesting, I've never heard of anyone doing something like that... Funny enough, like a few days after we recorded I found the company "tronicworkz" finally released their own version of the karcepts 36mm DA hubs so I bought a set of them!
@@kirbizle I'd do some research on that company, their QA isn't quite there yet. But yes I got the idea from a few people. Currently on that setup with no issues and brakes bolt in without any modifications
@backyardbuiltsam Yeah I dont know a whole lot about them yet, but I just got em for the time being just in case I want to try the change to 36mm. So I'm going to stay with the OEM 32's unless I start having problems with them
@@kirbizle Karcepts does EF specific front 36mm hubs. The only reason why I went DC hubs is only because if I ever want to go back to 4x100, they still sell hubs. Unfortunately, DA 4x100 hubs are discontinued.
Awesome insight , just picked up a 2011 carbon and am looking for a few tips on what you would recommend for track alignment, I will be also on the same tire wheel set up ad you , thanks
What a cool interview and insight into BW! Ive only got to spectate at the track once for a vtec club day a few years ago. Hopefully one day ill be able to drive The famous time attack track 🤞🏻
What an absolute legend, RIP Riverside! It was gone before I was born but it is one of my absolute favourite tracks of all time to drive on Assetto Corsa. There was a track up here in BC called Westwood Motorsport Park that also shut down before I was born that ran Formula Atlantic and some multiclass racing with old EA-T civic race cars and stuff. You can find some videos of it here on RU-vid. Their goal of having a 100 year track lifespan was amazing forethought because sadly more and more tracks are being lost to development. Thanks for making this video I really enjoyed it, great to learn about the beginnings of such an iconic track.
Likewise Garrett! Old school racing is all out fun! No electric/mechanical assist: just the driver and the car running at full potential 🫡 glad you enjoyed it! I had a blast chatting with Les, and editing
Subbed because of Ryan’s build. I am shopping for an egg hatch shell to do this exact track build. Really want to pick his brain on the transmission gear ratios and final drive but realistically I am probably years from needing that information. Great help here thanks for the video!
Like @Sub2club said. GR86 is on SPL Arms, while the FL5 is on RV6 Arms. The SPL 86/gr86 rear lower arm is known for being a weak spot, The person I sold my rear lower arms to so happen to snap the arm at his first track day on them, SPL did get him new updated arms that is supposed to be stronger. The RV6 arms is used by HRC and made of steel (SPL is aluminum) so I doubt they will fail.
Vet gets them wet lol!! Idk how u can go wrong with a vet. Don’t matter if ur racing, driving , car shows whatever does it all. Fast on the road corse or drag strip definitely best bang for the buck.
Here for the algorithm, another great video! Here is a clip of Georg's e36. RIP to the legend. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TMZ2MTeSVk0.html
Not sure Alex has tested them individually but Im sure he has some insights. Ive personally driven Jrz/ kw/ ohlins on my car. What would you be curious about?
