I was against Mowbray's sacking. It was hasty and not without a hint of pettiness. What followed bore that out, but we now just might have the right man for the job. What an impact not seen since Keane and Stokoe. The players are clearly on board with his ideas and he's gained their confidence and trust in double quick time. The four victories do have the caveat of not being against the strongest opposition, the bookie's latest odds on final placings bear that out on three of them and Burnley was going through a chaotic week, but there's no denying we swept them away with very assured confidence. Very decent window, Brown could well be the bargain of the season. The lack of an experienced striker has to be seen as a failure and trying to placate us by describing a wide player as versatile enough to play through the middle doesn't fool anybody. Rigg to make the England U 21s before the season is out? Wouldn't bet against it.

As a Town fan, I would've been happy to pay the £25m... think he's brilliant. Word is you've accepted our £15m rising to £20m bid... which I think is brilliant business by us. If he gets 10+ goals and half a dozen assists or there abouts, he'll be worth double that in 12 months.
Why does this saga with Jack Clarke end because he is a player that Sunderland want to keep . I think this transfer window is open long .Sunderland is going to be a big team if the owners wake up and do the right thing by them.
Also don't forget Spurs will be looking for their sell on fee too, so to replace Clark we'll need a viable amount left over. IMO we will need in excess of 25m at the very least.

The entire plan of the game was to give squad players game time and getting them fit . This was too see who needs further developement, who needs to be loaned out and who needs to be released.

Hate to be negative but we have the exact same squad more or less that we had last season which was the second worst team in the Championship in 2024, only Rotherham were worse and they finished bottom of the league! No Striker signed and no decent Striker at the club! No exciting signings! Fans have been absolutely mugged off again unless we make decent signings before the Transfer Window closes! Unfortunately, I have no excitement whatsoever for the season starting tomorrow! Having Hummel and a new PA system and pitch doesn't put points on the board!
It's matter less about the results it's all to do with fitness levels and assessing how the players reacted to the stresses and facing the challenges of tackles.
I have a feeling about Regis L B I think he is going to be good BUT The fight and commitment that O’Nien spoke about was rarely evident last season, and Luke is always going to say good things But will Regis Le Bris and his coaching staff have made that difference with the squad, hopefully see in their performances at the start of the season HOW DO WE ALL FEEL who is going to step up and score goals ? or are we going to be like Spain and get goals from all of our players
