Hello welcome to my farming channel my name is Andrew, I am a tractor/combine driver and Bateman sprayer operator, we do have Limousin beef cattle and A flock of 200 sheep as well. The land we farm is at 3 different farms totalling 700 Hectares. My videos show what I do on the farm and all the machinery I use.
Sorry buddy I'm a fair few days behind on watching this new job crazy hours but as always mate great video mate and hope you enjoy your week off well deserved recharge the old battery's mate 👍
Another good video Andy and nice drone footage. Enjoy your break. I’ve just qualified on the XAG agri spray drone but we’re still waiting for Pesticide approvals in the UK. Next year we should see these drone helping in the wet conditions and the more challenging spray areas.
Those boy are currently at the clipping Inn process attaching the new wire to the insulators and lowering the block this process is usually quite quick and we will move down 1 arm at a time a good gang can do over 3 towers a day. The primary tool of the job being a johndeere 5090M fitted with a capstan and 2 ton winch system primitive compared to the spaceships you operate on your farm there !!
It’s like pigeon street!😆 Nice to see the fields have filled out well (looked like a few on the hill weren’t so good😬) and yeah, harvest won’t be long!
What size tyres on tractor? I’m assuming 30m plus boom width. Thinking of going away from SP sprayer for mounted or trailed but unsure of whether to run on narrows or standard 600 tyres
Hi Martin, Yes we are running 30m boom but if you can I would deffo recommend 36m, The tyres on the sprayer are 480's and on the tractor 600 on the front and 650's on the back. If your spraying tractor is also going to run the drill I would run narrow tyres in the summer then put some wide 710's on in the autumn to spring for drilling but if you will have a tractor just designated for spraying I would personally run 600 or 650's on the tractor all year round. cheers Andy.
Great video Andy, with harvest quickly approaching could you do a video showing your morning service on the combine before you start? Cheers and keep them coming.
Buzzards and Kites keep the rabbit population down. Go back to the seventies era, no birds of prey around this area, apart from Kestrels, and loads of bunnies. When the young come out of the burrow they are a nice sized meal.
