Back in the day when life was good and Georges rivers was ACTUALLY BLUE Not...Dark Brown Back when you used to have Picnic's beside georges river and you used to jump in with your Cozzies or from a rope you tied to a tree, or even from a tree branch if it was available Back when you go out on Warragamba Dam and look down the dam Back when African Lion Safari was open and we had Australia's Wonderland and Magic Kingdom and the Zoo was a cool place to be , When going to the beach meant there was a mini train track there with a train ride you could get into that had a picket gate around the track. Back when you would throw 2 or 3 bikes into dad's boot and go on a picnic and when you use to have someone you knew who had a ute and you'd put like 5 or 10 kids in the tub in the back and go for a ride, Back when we didn't use Seatbelts and when we had rollerskates Back when the beach towel was like 5 times as big as your body LOL TIMES WERE GOOD

THIS WASN'T SYDNEY !! the part that was was.. 7:15 to 10:38 I'd like to point out that the bloke at 10:38 who said we should work 2 days a week and not work hard IS DRINKING A FOSTERS. as for Nuclear chick, When has sydney been Nuclear ? I mean there's the reactor at Lucas Heights, but seriously, when has any of that been a problem ? As for Nuclear chick, She's just feeling the effects of the cold war and what's going on in the Soviet , I mean .. Everyone was talking about nuclear war back then, weren't they and.. let's not forget.. the end of the world IN TRUTH.. WE CAN UNDERSTAND WHY THEY DIDN'T CAUSE THE END OF THE WORLD AT THE TIME...................... I mean....... THE 80S WERE BLOODY AWESOME, Why would anyone logically blow it up but yeah , the bit in the middle was genuine, From the old blokes telling stories to the women that didn't mind walking around showing us their tits. Most of this was not actually what sydney was like though, this stuff looks more like it came off a $2 Documentary VHS Video

I was 17, at the time, and I miss that time, I think I miss the feel of that time, along with just being young and having your whole life ahead of you. In some ways it was a more innocent time a simpler time. But I still I think Sydney is a great City and Australia, a great country, the greatest, country, actually by far, (my parents came here from Europe in 1962 and I'm so glad they and I was born in Australia ) and I will always be grateful that they were able to settle here, I will always love Australia I have travelled a lot , and would not want to live anywhere else permanently.

@@gregpetterson true, but when will people realise they shape the environment around them. If things are so terrible now maybe they should look at the world they created for themselves. Ironically we would not have been able to have this conversation in the 80s. We live in a world where people are now better off than they have ever been in the history on man, life expectancy is up, quality of life is up, poverty is down, we have access to more information and ability to travel easier than ever before. People should stop yearning for a past that never existed and look to have a positive impact on the world around them.
