My name is Ryo Watanabe. I am an aquarium hobbyist that is EXTREMELY obsessed with making quality content for you to enjoy and learn. I try to focus on showing you my fish room and aquarium updates as well as fish store tours from around the world. Follow my journey?
the 'cryptocoryne' you 'dig' at 8:40 w/ the textured leaves is a Monstera peru. tropical aroid, stays small leaved (3-4"), can either be trained to climb, or left to trail. easy houseplant. i'm growing it on moss poles :). incredible store. enjoy your vids. your (back?)yard w/ the goldfish and turtles is awesome. :)
Brilliant video it’s completely clear from you content that you care for all your plants and livestock and I wouldn’t be concerned in acknowledging comments from know it all keyboard warriors ❤
hey i was inspired by one of your earlier videos, i dont have any outdoor space because im in a small apartment but i use a little bin filled with fluval and water to grow my aquatic plants just so i can save money and plant them in my aquariums, shocked at how simple it is lol
I’ve worked on plants my whole life and crossed over to aquatics. My advice if you don’t want crossover or to be confused by your rotis just move them so there’s other very different species in between 😉
The garden has come a long way! Thanks for the emersed plant update, your videos have inspired me to start my own emersed grow out containers. I've only got one container, indoors and under grow lights to start. 17:32 allowing the wounded end to callus over (1-2 days or so) should reduce risk of the soil rotting the cut end.
What about building a sump and then running trickle/ overflow like a betta rack. that should give you some more time before the water runs out. BTI would keep down the mosquitos.
@@RyoWatanabee I was saying only how it opperates like a betta rack. Not suggesting you start keeping bettas let alone outside in Japan. I used to build hydroponic gardens and well if its not on a timer and a reservoir, I'm going to forget to make sure it has water. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NIyqN0-sHxs.html
Great update vid. Your emersed plants have really taken off. 4:27 I like the idea of a mini rice fish pond. And I especially like the color of that huge bowl/container. I noticed how clear the water is too, thanks to the plants no doubt. :D
I would love to visit a lab someday. Going to be setting up a Mini NA Set I had shipped to the US. Thanks to your videos I’ll have a hi tech nano shrimp tank!
Duncan is to small for this sort of thing Victoria and Vancouver would host something like this if they make some money, I guess I'll have to be content watching your video's for now.
Awesome. Let me ask you. Since you saw everything up close. Is the whole ADA thing affordable to the masses or is it primarily for rich? A complete system for say a 100 liter setup including tank, filters, substrate, lights, co2, plants, fish…what was your take there on what that would cost? 💰
It’s very high quality therefore it’s not dirt cheap. But the DOOA+ADA prices in Japan are at least 2/3 to 1/2 the price you would pay in the USA, it didn’t feel crazy expensive.
Whow, that is a very neat pop-up store. And even if it understandably doesn't offer as much as their fixed store locations, it still is packed with quite a decent variety. Very nice! 11:47 Personally I prefer the 2 ft. tank, but they look equally stunning Did you end up getting the cork bark wood? :D
@@RyoWatanabee Oh nice. Yes I'm sure you'll find a way to incorporate them into a future project. Thanks again for a vid drop. Enjoy the rest of your evening, Ryo. Stay awesome! 😁
