I always enjoy your store tours. You are so articulate and pace yourself in a way that I feel as if I’m there. So many beautiful stores. Thank you for sharing with us.
Nice update Ryo. Are you by chance watching the new series on Disney "Shogun. Its mostly in Japanese, with English subtitles, trying to pick out some words. Language is very interesting and hard to understand. Always loved Japan.
What a lovely fish store. It looks so fun. I really want to get a dwarf snakehead, but they are illegal in the US. Its so sad. Great video, Ryo. and seeing the plants would be wonderful.
Oh, I didn’t realise. I must’ve heard that they were illegal but forgotten about it I think. I know Asian arowanas are illegal which is sad too. Thanks for your comment! One day, if I find the space, I’ll try to get a dwarf channa :)
@@RyoWatanabee yes and I would love one of them too. 😅But the channa is very sad because they are so nice and small. They couldn't be more dangerous than a wolf fish...and in Europe they can have them as pets. Oh well. It is not meant to be. You've got me thinking about an aquatic turtle now my friend. lol
@@Cow_Juice hello Cow Juice! yes I have been missing for a bit. I got my second knee replacement and was in seclusion for 6 weeks. I am up and around now though, and I missed you and Ryo!
@@LeilaSoleil Oh gosh, that must have been quite an ordeal. But I'm happy to know you are doing well and that the operation went smoothly. Yes, you were missed too. Cheers to you and to better health for us all moving forward. 😃
Ahh another fish and plant store tour. I was wondering when the next one would drop, and then I go over and check the channel and here it is. That sure is a neat place. A wide selection of goodies for hobbbyists. At 3:12 I'm no expert, but could that have been a Japanese species of the Fire-bellied newt? 😅
@@RyoWatanabee That's awesome! Yea, I wasn't sure at first, but just went with what immediately came to mind. 😁 That store/shop truly was awesome. It has a little of almost everything. You're right about the greenery too. I think all those plants made the shop come to life, even more than it already did. 😃
@@RyoWatanabee i have seen on videos and will one day visit to see in person. I really want to check out not only the amazing koi, but Daikaku (spelling?) where they have car meets.
@@RyoWatanabee Indeed. I owned and breed quite a bit of Channa in the past years. Keeping just one is... not as fun but easier for sure. Usually you need to get a group of young ones 5-7 and let them pair of by themselves. Then you remove the remaining ones and usually have a peacefull pair which can live together for the rest of their life.
3:01 Most likely Cynops pyrrhogaster. There are different subspecies, local populations and even transitional forms across Japan (Hokkaido and the most southern islands excluded). This animal in particular looks like the 'Hiroshima type', this population occurs in Kyushu, Shikoku, Oki and Chugoku region and is characterized by bright red bellies with only a few black spots or even none spots at all. Their breeding behavior is slightly different as well. The male doesn't place its hind leg on the females neck during courtship like in other Japanese fire-bellied newts populations. Definitely a species worthy to be added to the Ryo Watanabe collection. But most newt enthusiasts end up keeping and breeding different populations of their favorite newt species, so be warned. 😂
@@RyoWatanabee I was thinking it might be Cynops ensicauda, the sword-tail newt, but I'm not great at distinguishing the two. It's definitely Cynops genus! These are really difficult to find in the USA, only a few people breeding them (and probably costing far more than they do in Japan!)
@@smorc65 I stand corrected. You are right. I watched it again and the sign reads 沖縄シリケンイモリ which refers to Cynops ensicauda. If you watch closely you can see small white dots on its dorsal. The color will intensify once they get older.
@@-AndrewR Oh, no worries. Yea, quite understandable. The things we gotta do. I agree. Ryo's content is quite refreshing and had a little of most everything. Anyway I hope all goes well and best of luck with all your endeavours. Have a great day/night ahead, wherever you may be. :)
Ignore this comment as this is a personal msg for someone For Andrew Pls dont be mad at me anymore that im watching videos about Japan. I really want to see the fish farm there
The cost of those ADA products compared tp what i pay in Canada is crazy 😢 Same with the rice fish, galaxy pearl rice fish (Oryzia latipes) are $15 CAD where i live
@@RyoWatanabee Thanks. I checked already and my only option is 144p. I've never run across any recently posted video with such low resolution, so I'm not sure what the problem might be.
