Thank you for this video. The information is excellent and clearly explained. In my instance with my Freewing J10A 8S model, -50 to +50 on the trigger channel worked for me to achieve the trust reverse correctly. I love this series of videos for the FrSky radios - please keep making them for the less computer-minded people like me as they update the software.
The Freewing Zeus nose gear also works without any mods to length! BTW the Zeus strut has the same diameter hole as the T-28, which BTW you have to cut off to fit since the T-28 has a single wire strut NOT a cnc unit!! You make it look like there was just a pin on the T-28 nose landing gear box. NOT true!!
Great series of videos, one question though I’m building a rc tug boat that will be using a 12 volt lead acid battery. Do you know if this set up would work for that. I’m thinking it should as the analog is only measuring source voltage compared to the flv system which is specific to lipo. Any thoughts?

Great videos and done in a logical order. I have one question which I seem to be missing you have a TD r 10 receiver with a voltage rating of 3.5v -10v but you’re using a 4s battery with put out 16 v how is this not destroying the receiver? May seem like a dumb question but I am fairly new to all this.
The battery is connected to the ESC which powers the motor. The ESC has a connection to the receiver. That connection supplies power to the receiver which is regulated to 6 volts or so (depending on esc settings). So you get full power to the motor while the receiver and servos have regulated voltage to what they need.
@@all_rc makes sense I initially thought you plugging the 4s directly into the reciever and thought I was missing something. Please keep your videos coming they are excellent and well described I’m surprised you don’t have more likes.
I have the same plane and yesterday the motor stopped in mid-air after two minutes. Managed to get her down in one piece but the motor is not working anymore. Esc seems to work fine, all the servos still work but when connecting a fresh battery there is no beeping sound anymore. Any suggestions what to do? Thx for sharing and I hope you can help me out. It can still be the esc or the motor unfortunately. The esc is built in to the receiver board. Only things I can think of is double checking the wires... Motor to esc wires, power cables etc. A long shot is to try an esc calibrate. Power up the plane with the throttle full. Then wait for a beep and throttle to idle .. I doubt it but worth a shot.
Yup. Flight modes are used a lot by sailplane guys. I'm my case Launch, Thermal, Speed, and Landing each have their own trims. Currently I have these modes enabled simply by clicking one of the top two or bottom two buttons of the six 6 located between jog dials O > I < O . Any reasons why this approach might not be a good idea? Initially, I did not have a transition delay time set , but now that's in there it seems to work well and It's super nice that the mode name shows up under the model name.
As a newbie to ETHOS and FrSky, this video was super helpful on many levels. After reading FrSKY's latest X20 User Manual and the Instruction Manuals for the FLVS Lipo Voltage Sensor and the TD SR10 receiver, I had no idea that to get the lipo sensor to display on the transmitter I had to (in my case )reassign the Channel 10 port location of the receiver to being a "pin 10" S.Port (Smart Port) by enabling the connection on the X20R transmitter or how to do it. Yes, the receiver manual did say the 'configurable 10 channel ports are a big feature" but gave no hint on how to... Covering 'port morphing', Telemetry, Special Functions and Logic Switches all in the same video made me really appreciate your work and how powerful this system is. Thanks a lot!
Currently im running 2 blades from the 4 blade hub. Changed the motor to 500kv. Still running the same 6S 6200 battery. Its much more satisfying to fly. I dont miss the 4 blade at all.

a.aliexpress.com/_mNmjVVE this is the motor im currently running. I have the 500KV model. Im also running a 100A ESC. You will just need a 50mm long Allen Bolt to be able to secure the spinner to the shaft adaptor that comes with the motor. Theres a 560KV model of the same motor. But i would need to increase my ESC to over 125A. The 500KV option with the 2 blade prop already flies so much better. But i am tempted to try the 560KV at some point.
@@all_rc thank you man! I have the flightline Corsair in addition to the spitfire and I put a rimfire 1.20 in it with a 2 blade prop. It’s an absolute dream to fly with gobbs of power! I’m going to try your rec with the 560kv motor. Thanks again
Your Corsair setup sounds awesome! Wish it were as easy to change props and spinner with the Spitfire. I have the FMS 1700mm Corsair but changed the motor and went to 2 blades also. RC planes just fly much better on 2 blades.

Interesting. I've never run flysky receivers with my radio. You might need to go into telemetry, RSSI and set the warnings. Look I'm your Radiomaster telemetry. I believe they set RSSI low at 45 and critical at 42.
@@all_rc i set warnings on telemetry stil no voice, there is no option to set low and critical rssi on flysky reciver. Radiomaster has and it works fine
Really can't help you then, I've never run flysky receivers. Might wanna give Frsky NA in Brea CA a call and see if anyone there has use Flysky with this setup. Or try the Frsky GitHub page and ask there
On safe mode this just goes up like its going in a loop when I throttle up. I fly the umx p51 voodoo with the same throttle level that one goes striaght. Did i configure it wrong?
With safe off it's fine? You might have a badly calibrated gyro. Nothing you can adjust easily. With the plane on the bench and the fuselage straight and level, does the elevator go up when you turn on safe? It may go up slightly but if it goes up a lot then the gyro isn't properly calibrated. I would return it and get another one.

Sure! The only thing is the high roll rate. Do 3 rates at first. Book high and low aileron and one more even lower. Once you get used to it, even high rate won't be an issue. Landing is actually easier with the " Doritos" as high angle of attack is pretty easy and stable. Your can come in and over flare and it's still be alright.
