8 if these guitars sounded pretty much the same to me. I own 3 of the 6 that stood out. For me the stand outs were the Fenders, the Rick, the Firebird, and the semi-hollows
Watched with my eyes closed and opened them when I heard a tone I liked. 100% of the time it was the Strat and the semi-hollows, 50% it was the Firebird. Those are the only guitars I own. Go figure!
I too have a top-of-the-line 1979 MIJ Epiphone Custom Deluxe in black with quad-binding as well (front, back, neck, headstock) and full gold hardware - my parents believed in my talent and bought it for me in 7th grade - it's had the front jack ripped completely out of the body, now covered w/ a custom plate I designed and hand-carved in high-school - it was dropped directly on it's head by my roommate in college (classic story) which completely cracked the headstock - even so, it always held a rock solid tuning, but I eventually put a couple of black screws in because i couldn't afford a real luthier - to this day, it's my all time favorite guitar and I can play it for hours even though it weighs like 15 pounds LOL - however, the Dimarzio Super Humbuckers that came stock were always "anemic" sounding, so last year I finally broke down and had the Dimarzio's replaced with ThroBak P90's - and NOW this guitar has balls and sounds like I always wanted it to sound - still got the Dimarzios of course... I wonder how hard it would be to wire in one of those as a mid-position pickup - hmmm....
YES ! i have on my stratocaster a set of pickups van zandt: on bridge and on neck position a true vintage and in a middle position a vintage plus!!!! the sound is fantastic.
Electro acoustic guitar.... With fishman capteur piezo (parker fly) ... Don't you hear that it's piezo? You should consult a doctor for your ears. And look at 3'00 (folk), 4'00 (nylon)....
I bought same guitar think its 1980 or so. Its heavy and well used. I think the pots needs cleaning and new strings cant hurt to. Action is low and the pick-ups sound amazing. Whats it worth? I bought it cheap 😊
I have one made in 1979, bought in 1984. Would never willingly part with it. For some reason mine has an Ibanez bridge! In the video, where's the pickup selector switch? It's supposed to be behind the tailpiece.
I had a Mesa express plus 5 50 and every guitar I played sounded the same through it, single coil or humbucker. You can set the EQ to hear a difference, but in this demo, I’m not hearing much difference.
I want to hear how these would sound together. I want to use one for a boost and the other for a distortion so essentially I can get 3 channels 1: Normal tube amp blues Jr single channel amp 2: Flux drive: Overdrive tone 3: Grid slammer to push that overdrive tone past breakup but still keep the tone. Can you please make a video for that?
