Who he would be in the line with Necas ? and whether it is possible to form a suitable line with him. Necas is good player, but he is permanently injured and he takes analgesics. He is still young, he can work like this, but a few years later, I don't know...
I would not trade Mailloux or Struble. Not to move to 18 pick, and not for Necas. But I would trade Guhle or Matheson for 6 overall or 7 overall to pick up another forward like Eiserman or Connelly.
On the topic of draft picks as a coach I am going all in to get gavin McKenna in 2 years trade whatever it takes to get possibly 2 -3 top 10 picks to give us the best chance at getting number 1 pick.
Hello Coach Thank you for keeping us informed As for Tanner J, Montreal should not trade for him. I'm not sure we will gain anything with adding him. It would be nice to have a forward That brings that element. Maybe look around the league
Although the Rocket were often a fun team to watch they were as bad and often worse than the Habs defensively so why are we rewarding BAD coaches? Obviously it is a no brainer teams will...SHOULD improve when they keep adding better talent that is NOT the coach doing a better job of coaching. You don't want to sign any players nearing the end of their contract from other teams because all your doing is giving up assets to get a player your likely going to over pay to resign.
Informative video coach and good to know the rule for different league signings. With regard to Tanner Jeannot, I would definitely consider it especially if the return was minimal and was merely a cash dump by TB. With Jeannot you are getting a physical player who can also skate well and provide energy to that 3rd line pairing. Yes he does make $2.6 m but it is for one year only left on his contract. As a result you will see a motivated player who will be playing for a new contract. If he does not perform well then you let him go or trade at TD time. If he does well, then you could be getting him again at that same approx salary as well as all he brings to the table. Remember he did score 24 goals with Nashville. You don't just forget how to score. Definite upgrade over Pezzetta, and even Armia (pointwise). Also, having him on the wing with Dvorak (Evans) and Anderson could really wake up Anderson as well. Worth a gamble imo.
No to Jeannot, I don't want to pay for Tampa's mistake in overpaying for him. yes to Davidson, I think he has middle 6 potential( has to improve his skating, imo) .Packaging Struble with the pick doesn't interest me to only move up to#15.
@@HockeyNationLiveShowJeannot is Tampa’s big mistake, overpaid big time! No different than Deslauriers glacially slow, grossly overpaid and not effective! If the Habs want to add toughness it should be in the mold of Tom Wilson, not necessarily Wilson but a player with some skill, size and who plays hard!
San Jose isn’t quite in the deep hole/ rebuild you think they are! With a top 10 prospect pool pre draft, and the 2nd most cap space with only 2 big contracts left in Couture (3 years) and Vlasic (2 years) sharks have prospects, draft capitol, major cap space, and a very good front office. 2 years and this team will be battling for playoff spot mark my words.
@@markolarabie6685 it was a very good video and typically rebuilds last a lot longer (see Buffalo and Detroit) but they way Grier sliced through those long term deals and got decent return on them set the sharks up with a pretty good future! The hate Grier gets blows me away because everything I’ve seen him do has a purpose and logic to it.
@@mikeking9696 Brind'amour is one the best coaches in the NHL, why he does want to use more Necas playing top6 than 3rd line ??? Why teams traded Dach and Newhook ??? Always two sides to a coin !!!
It’s simple. Does Necas fit with the vision of the championship team the HAbS are building? For me, it’s a hard MAYBE. So, maybe not so simple actually.
The way things have soured with KK, (rumours Carolina wants to buy him out) the Canes will be cautious about being irrational or vindictive in trades. A pile of teams want Necas, I'm not sure why he won't sign but I have to wonder why he wants out. RBA just signed for 5 years, good coach, so....? Who needs Necas when wed have Beck? thx coach
In my opinion, relationship with canes was with the old administration. Gorton and Hugh’s have a better reputations around the league . Martin Necas with a great add , as has for the cost of contract , Hughes already stated he is willing to overpay in order to get a player who will help the team . Has for Houle , he should be canned , the Laval lead the AHL in penalties this season , how can you say that makes players better . Being undisciplined don’t make you better a player . Laval needs a new coach plain and simple fact . I’m also disappointed in the habs management if they bring the same ole bench boses like burrows back , seriously !!!! This is ludicrous. All season Long everyone was clamouring for burrows to be fired , and all sudden, the attitudes have changed, not so fast . I hope their changes made after their contracts expire.
With Bergevin and Waddell gone now the animosity is pretty much dissipated. I would entertain a Matheson for Necas deal straight up and I'm okay with $7 m/yr. Carolina needs both LD and RD and you are getting Matheson on the cheap to fill in hole that either Skjei, Pesce or D'Angelo will leave behind. Their left side will be Orlov, Matheson and Slavin.
@@xlwolfff Matheson is not a joke at all. He gives Carolina a defender who finished 9th in scoring, is in the prime of his career when Carolina needs that the most, can carve out a great deal of TOI, a defender with a friendly salary for 2 more seasons, adds speed to the team and brings experience.
@@habinations yes same owners but both teams have different GM's now. It is the GM's that orchestrated the offer sheet for Aho (Bergevin) and KK (Waddell). That is where the whole hatred originated from both squads. Owners do not get involved with the day to day running of the teams.
It won't work out coach with the canes in a necas deal bcuz still friction between the 2 party's re: kk deal honesty just my opinion but I could be wrong
Laine is elite sniper. If your coach knows how to use sniper and has line for sniper Laine will do good. If you want somthing else than sniper then no for trade.
