This is quite amazing. I think, the arrangement very cleverly managed to capture all relevant melodies and voices, distribute them to the various orchestral instruments without changing the prominence of each voice, slightly add to complete the soundscape without altering the overall musical picture. It's properly the one near pierce of music available to demonstrate the beauty of emperor compositions to non metal fans and without haing half of it lost in the production mix.
hey!, I'm sorry for the delayed reply, I did not get a notification. I use the schematics and layout from effectslayouts . blogspot. In the circuit there is a 1M ohm pulldown resistor between output and ground, so you shouldn't have a popping sound
This was so, so good. Thank you for making this. I would gladly pay for a high-res download of this if you offer it. My favourite song of all time, and I was able to pick out subtleties I never noticed in hundreds of prior listens, before thanks to this arrangement. Especially love how the riffs at 8:50 which are among my favourite parts of the song are given so much prominence here :D And damn that triangle (?) transition back to the light part. Absolute masterpiece. Thank you for this, again, Nathan. Love from Mumbai.
Thank you! Yes that's a triangle on that transition. I'm going to see if I still have the original high-res mix when I get home, if so, I'll put a download link and let you know.
Unfortunately, I couldn't find the original mix, and exporting a new one would be impossible at the moment since I have a completely different set up on my computer right now.
Metal and classical music go hand and hand, so you (and this goes for all the other good orchestral arrangements) are doing a huge service. I must thank you. P.S not to mention this inspires me to make my own orchestral pieces
This is absolute brilliance. I love the thought that you put into choosing instruments for parts. It sounds SO good! I also love how you used timpani like a proper classical composer would.
Yes, Spitfire, sounds pretty good. Do you mean like just the audio mixing?. I didn´t do much. As far as I remember I bounced each section (strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion) balanced the levels and put a bit of eq and multiband compression in the master to control the build up of the mid frequencies. I don´t think is worth a video, and honestly, my mix is a bit meh haha. Here on youtube there is a lot of tutorials on mixing from people way more competent and knowledged than me.
@@nathanoises your work is very massive. I can't imagine how to write the right section with midi and dynamics. Today I have listened in loop your version 🤘🏻
