Good move by the Turks regarding euro fighter typhoon.Because the F 16 package is going to take a while.America they can keep there F35..Look at Australia there in the same F35 project and they have realized that this was a mistake.This kaan project is the way to go make your own dont dependent others.
US was never going to give Turks F35 anyway, S400 was just a ret@rded excuse, now the new government in US trying to solve the issue, which means NOW they are trying to solve 'issue' to give F35 after they get rid of S400s.... somehow, its just politics, not military, not anything else. Reminder that Turkiye helps build F35, thats why they were able to build their own stealth fighter as well.

What a strategic mistake? Its time to break free from nato and eu and what are the turks doing comitting themselfs to a long term project. The havent learned. The west can not be trusted. Even if these figures were correct, it will make no difference for the final outcome. We have been hearing these stories that Russia is running out of missiles, equipment, shells and other munitions since early 2014, only to be proven complete fantasy by the realities on the battle field. Pretty obvious that Russian progress in Ukraine is not slackening, but rather picking up speed. Ukraine is on the verge of losing the Donbas completely and that's just the beginning. Russia is surely incurring losses, but they can absorb these losses, because they have the industrial capacity to replace them. Ukraine can't. They are completely depending on the ever diminishing support from the west. Several NATO countries have already reported that they are all out of equipment and ammunition to donate to Ukraine and also the US military stocks are at rock bottom. Furthermore the US is putting aid to Ukraine on the back burner to give priority to Israel and their focus on China. The majority of the latest aid package from the US, which was far from impressive, still needs to be produced and some of the items will only become available for use end of 2026. In addition to this, Ukraine is running out of men, while Russia is continuous expanding it's military. With their latest enlistment efforts, Ukraine barely managed to "abduct" about 10% of the men they intended to draft. Ukrainian recruiters are now so popular that they need armed protection to prevent them from getting beat up by the men they try to enlist. The few men they were able to catch, are untrained, often in poor condition and not willing to fight. Even the west (including Stoltenberg) has now recognized that Ukraine can't win this conflict, but is still trying to paint a rosy picture to avoid admitting that they lost and were wrong from the start. Fact that Ukraine still exists is now already considered as a victory. The western narrative has now changed from the expulsion of all Russians from the occupied territories, to Ukraine trading territory for NATO membership (for whatever remains and is not yet occupied by Russia). Just another way to avoid admitting that they were defeated. This proposal is already declined by Putin and even Zelensky will not agree to it, but it's emblematic for Ukraine's precarious position. Zelensky can't agree because he will be taken out by his own men, if he would ever agree to ceding territory and Russia doesn't need to agree to any proposal which doesn't fulfill all of their demands. Zelensky's plan for victory is nothing more than trying to get NATO directly involved in the conflict, but it doesn't look like there are a lot of NATO members who have any appetite of confronting Russia directly. Some NATO members have already stated that this is a non-starter and NATO statues demand unanimous approval by all member states. Putin made clear what the Russian conditions are, but rather prefers that Ukraine will keep fighting. Why would Russia agree to any peace proposal, when they are clearly winning? If Ukraine doesn't change its stance, there will be little left of Ukraine to negotiate and with every delay the Russian terms will become more demanding and less beneficial for the Ukrainians.

There is a huge problem in both Hurjet and KAAN; the name of the game is "engine". Not able to produce jet engines let alone 5th gen engines for KAAN. So there are pretty much depended on USA.
