Mando was insane for me, carried me to finals but lost to a much luckier card opener haha. My deck was very average but Mando "gained" me probably 15 life every single game tapping down units. Also did a disgusting turn vs a Rey where I flip Mando, knowing they will flip Rey. I play a 0 cost upgrade to tap down Rey then just slap her to death. Such a fun prerelease, one more to go!
In 18:40, shouldn't Trandoshan Hunter deal 2 damage to Mando base from Overwhelm? This is huge, because that means Bossk player could win next round (sentinel was played to space).
Personally, I would have taken the Mando Blue deck. The Cad Red deck had two big problems - only 3 space units and only 4 turn 1 plays. Whereas the Mando Blue deck had potentially 6 turn 1 plays and 8 space with a decent curve. Also, the Village Protectors on T2 -> Constables on T3 -> Rey on T4 -> Falcon/Mando with all of the upgrades would have kept the ground solid while you dominate space. And you would have had a decent top end with the Falcon & Pursuers.
With light space presence I'd probably put the Falcon in, limited games tend to go slightly longer so paying two extra for a good threat in space (with ambush even) seems pretty good

really appreciate all the prere content! deciding between two similar power level builds is always so tough. i think you should play bro with both decks at least once, see if the results push you in one direction or the other.
Bobby, you've highlighted something I've seen in no other prerelease video, that I've also came across in my TTS practice: you can often build multiple decks and keeping ALL of your options open is so important. You can, to my understanding, switch everything between games, so if you run one deck and don't end up liking it, completely switch it up. The versatility matters. P. S. In my practice Niima constables are like cracked in sealed imo so I'd heavily consider them.
Thanks! Not all builds let you do this, some are just very obviously strong in a certain direction. A lot of feedback already that I should be on the blue Mando deck!
I wonder why nobody mentions "Vambrace Flamethrower". Also dont look at Jango in a vacuum. You need to build arround him and then he is basically the 6/6 thats kills mostly everything. I am thinking of red/green but also red/blue seems viable.
In this deck, I'd consider playing the Hunter of the Haxian Brood off aspect for the same argument used for relentless pursuit. Being on the bounty plan means you should have a high chance of it coming into play shielded, so the extra value makes it worth paying 2 extra for in my opinion... and it's also another bounty hunter.
Great resources and link to official description on website. We are looking forward to our first pre-release ever!!🎉🎉🎉 Your videos and content knowledge have been priceless!! Our new adventures into TCGs has been amazing!! Thanks, and we look forward to more exceptional content!!
No, but in Sealed/Draft you're restricted to the set. For PRE-release, you have access to Moff/Mando which you won't in later sealed/draft formats (because they come in the box for the Pre event)
It is interesting seeing how different people build limited - I have my local prerelease this Saturday which will be a ton of fun. I probably would have gone Moff Gideon Red with the cards you got, with so many of them being 3 or less. But any of them could be great.
Great video! I think I would definitely play The Client for 5 in sealed with Bossk. A 5 life swing if huge, and if you can pull it off more than once it’s even better. If you do manage to pull it off when Bossk is deployed and are able to heal 10, I can’t imagine not winning that game.
Awesome video, very excited for all 3(!) prereleases I’m going to this weekend. I’ve got very tough competition in my area so I’m hoping to take down at least one of them!
