I’ve got the 75g to 150g 8ft with the Penn battle 5000 going to put 20lb braid on would this handle king fish ? New to fishing so any advice would be appreciated
We need more info on what this hydro seal actually is? Because at the moment, it's just some marketing hype rubbish and I can't see why it's worth stepping up from the battle 3 to the battle 4 for an extra $100
@@moseskongi4746 You are right it's not but I can't see the point in buying the battle 4 unless you going for the DX for the looks and the extra bells and whistle.
A few weeks ago I picked up a Penn fierce 4 model 5000 at a pawn shop. It was like new with the box for $35. I absolutely love it. Used it about four times already.. it even got dunked a few times in the saltwater, and it was still fine. I've had Shimano and Daiwa reels in the past. Shimano in daiwa also make good reels. But they're a lot more complicated to take apart if you want to service them yourself. I love the fact that Penn reels are so easy to take apart and service yourself. And they are also so easy to get parts for. And they have great customer service as well.
is the little black cap "bearing cover" fixed on this one??? thats my only issue with the Battle 3. have both Battle 3 - 6000 and 8000, but unfortuntaley, both the caps 'bearing covers' fell off by itself.
The rotors are plastic now until you reach the 6500. Kind of a let down for the price of the real. I guess you have to sacrifice some overall quality to make sure all the Spinfisher models get brass internals.
might be helpful if you added in some of the specs guys, and improvements over last gen. was playing with these yesterday and feel great, definitly more refined then the 3's. Using the same exterior packaging as the Authority's was a fantastic decision....... but specs in the vid would be nice :P
I live on the water and have my own private boat ramp with direct access Love this place and only moved here 6months ago I wasn’t into fishing but I am now, best part is I can catch fish easy only 25m walk from Back door 🤙
