I did this job several times on these 2 door blazers. Thank God they were all drilled out by previous owners.pickup a cheap ball joint separation kit and spend the extra few bucks on sealed moog ball joints , do the brakes rotors and wheel bearings at the same time. If you have the original joints that the rivers need to be drilled out, start with a small gold drill on an electric drill and work the hole bigger. Oil the drill tip as you go
I still have two areas where they are dimmed, I’ve tried everything, New Simmer Switch, Fuse check, replacing the bulbs, why could they still be dimmed
I had a piece of 1" cold rolled steel round stock 9' long that went right through the differential and tapped the bearings and seals out with a five pound sledge hammer without even damaging the bearings or the seals. No problem and regular steel or aluminum round stock would have done the job also. Just make sure the round stock is clean before you stick it into the axle housing.
What did you end up doing? I changed mine out to LEDs and same thing none of them worked. I ended up ordering new bulbs with new twist knobs hoping that does it. My blinkers and stuff work just not backlighting.. Ive checked fuses too.
cool video I have a different year truck but same dash I know you said your dash popped out easy and it looked like. Maybe a clip or two was broken I’ve cruised the aisles of Harbor Freight and saw a plastic set of nylon Prybars pretty cheaply priced and it said they were for interior panels it looked like those could be helpful and I was wondering if you ever tried those BTW my Truck has never been pulled apart and is in great shape BTW my Dash was upgraded with Wood Accents by a Conversion Company for Chevy who isn’t around any longer so I can’t get parts my Mechanic freind and I always talk about specific tools and the ToolTruck options he told me the set Harbor Freight has is the same one he bought branded SnapOn years ago he didn’t remember the price difference but it was Crazy I bought a Spark Plug socket for my Dad who liked C4 Corvettes and SnapOn makes one I didn’t have the nerve to tell my Old Man the real price that was almost $30.00 so I lied and said 20 sure he could afforded the extra 10 but that type of stuff freaked him out as he aged I bought a SnapOn multi ratchet screwdriver off the truck one day because I thought it would be convenient to have on my boat instead of running back and forth to my toolboxes a hundred times and that damn thing was almost $60.00 which I didn’t realize untill my way out the Truck my Mechanic Freinds that do own and operate a small HotRod and repair shop laughed at me years ago because I bought a Complete Stanley Socket set at Walmart and I mentioned how much I like the Ratchets Feel and Operation after researching a little on the Internet I found out the same factory in China made my Stanley and BluePoint Sockets and Wrenches a issue with BluePoint is the Truck guys won’t honor any warranty work on them like they do on the SnapOn branded items as a rule they will just exchange you on the spot or at a minimum install new parts for you I’m a retired Woodworker and my wrenching days are minimum as I’ve gotten older although I do my own Boat Maintenance and some repairs and Installs so I still keep mechanics tools my preferred sets are my 1970s Made InAmerica Craftsman sets and a 1950s SK Wayne Socket and Wrench set my Dad bought in the Navy
Lots of info lol! Company regency I believe did conversions. There are a few that made conversions, especially on the Astro vans. The only part I would worry removing on the plastic cab piece is back behind cab. Tabs break there very easy. I've removed the plastic dash a lot and have dropped the entire dash, removed bench seat, and dropped steering wheel just to remove my AC Evaporator. I would recommend DONT remove the dash piece in heat (summer) or mainly outside if your worried about breaking them. It's not hard to remove plenty of videos out there.
yea my dash is cracking up as well Georgia heat and humid your not alone. but im not going to waist money on a cover or cap i need to change my evap core anyway so the whole dash has to come out so ill just repair it with fiber glass or filler.
If they take t10 bulbs inside the ashtrey, glovebox, and at your feet then pretty sure they wouldn't be different. Usally 88-99 models same stuff. My 2 cents, hey thanks for watching!
Still holding going into oct 2020. If you primer it properly and let it cure, with the color your wanting to do, it should be okay. There isn't much heat back there and the only thing that will "rub" is your wheel/tire package against the center. That is to be expected.
I just bought new drums a couple months ago, I just notice they are starting to rust... I’m gonna go the hard route instead of buying a new set. Thanks for the vid, it help a lot!
Still holding up almost a year later! Thanks 4 watching guys! Hope this helped some you out. Done this on a cavalier and about to post the 07 ford focus.
