Hi and thank you for your post. When you are able to, please reach out to our customer service team at 866-788-2202 or support@zizzo.bike. We would be happy to guide you through the folding/unfolding process. With regards to the frame lock, it does take some force to snap shut, but we want to make sure there is no shipping related damage and or adjustments needed. We look forward to helping you out. Tony
Hi and thank you for your question! We are currently out of stock on the trunk bag. Regretfully, we do not yet have a restock date. If you like, you can send an email to support@zizzo.bike to ask to be placed on the waitlist. Once restocked, we will send customers on the waitlist an email. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Tony
I have a Zizzo Campo and it didn't have the side hex nuts. I loosened the top hex nut and it loosened the connection to handlebars and front wheel, not the headset. To tighten the headset it has a knurled nut at the top of the headset you turn by hand. Seemed backing if off 1/8 of a turn and then hand tightening it back down was best. Then tightened the top hex nut slightly, turned handlebars to align with front wheel, and then tightened the hex nut well. Wish there was a video on the Campo headset adjustment.
Hey @cc58 Thanks for your post and it sounds like your bike has a different headset. The guide above is for a THREADED headset and these can be found on the Marino, Forte, e-Forte, Urbano, Liberte and Via models. The Campo and Ferro use a THREADED headset and that adjusts differently. Take a look at PArk Tool's video for threaded headset adjustment here: www.parktool.com/en-us/blog/repair-help/threaded-headset-service Let us know if you have any questions. Tony
Hi there, I'm thinking about getting the Zizzo Liberte on Amazon. I'm 5'11", and I'm not sure if this bike would be a good fit for me. Any advice? I'd love to hear back soon from Zizzo owners and the CM since I'm eager to make the purchase this week. Thanks in advance! Greetings from Guadalajara, Mexico.
Hey @samuel2560 Thank you for your interest in ZiZZO Bikes. Firstly, all ZiZZO Bikes are designed for reiders between 4'8"-6'3" and you are right in the middle of that fit range. HOWEVER, all bodies are different and longer leg or longer torso can affect that fit. For more "real world" feedback, post your question or our user's group in Facebook (facebook.com/groups/362160974275218). These riders should be able to give you the feedback you are looking for! Tony
Hey @qd1271 Thanks for your question. If you live near the US-Canada Border, we can ship a replacement hanger to a US location and you can pick it up. If you do not, you can try: derailleurhanger.com/ Please let me know if you have any other questions. Tony
Hey @QuantumBiker0 What did you try? If you still need some assistance, please reachout to our support team at support@zizzo.bike or 866-788-2202. Thank you Tony
Not a problem! We have a page (zizzo.bike/pages/comfort-saddle-installation) that may help. If that page does not help, please reach out to our Customer Service Team at support@zizzo.bike or 866-788-2202. Tony
The tire size is listed as 20x1.95 ... will a Tannus 20x2 airless tire fit (they come in 20x1.5 and 20x2 sizes)? Why do that?...bcs rear flats are a royal pain. edited for typos
Hey @torinsall Thanks for your question. While we cannot make any specific product recommendations without having first tested them, we can say that the e-Forte can accommodate 20X2.0" tires. But, ,as you know, Tanus tires are not "regular" tires and may require some special handling and installation considerations. Tony
@@ZiZZOBikes Great, will do that ... might take time, still saving up for the bike (repair of fence crushed by tree from a storm and ramp for a handicap family member are ahead of my ebike...the joys of reality). But will do a review when I get them (bike and tannus tire). edited for typos
I just ordered a coral one! I'm a heavyset rider who drives an old subcompact car. This is the only bike I found that could fold to fit in the car and support my weight. I work near a very nice bike trail, and I want to keep the bike in the car for after-work rides. Looking forward to getting it and trying it out!
@jamieMakin Thanks for choosing ZiZZO! We think you will love the Forte. if you ever have questions or concerns feel free to email us at SUPPORT@ZIZZO.BIKE or give us a ring at 1-866-788-2202 Happy Pedaling!-BG
Take a look at this link: www.parktool.com/en-us/blog/repair-help/torque-specifications-and-concepts It's from Park Tools and they have a great reference page for torque values. Tony
Why does the eForte have the lower quality Shimano Tourney derailleur from the 2022 and earlier Forte, instead of the 2023-2024 Forte upgraded (better) Shimano Altus derailleur? edited for typos
Thanks for reaching out. Management felt confident with this latest version of the Tourney derailleur that it would perform fine with the E-Forte. The E-Forte has been out for over 8 months now and we have had no service issues with the Tourney. Thanks!-BG
@@ZiZZOBikes You might want to read the review on your web site by Edmond A. dated 5/18/2024, which states the Tourney deraillier problems he was having ... specifically "It kept skipping, ghost-shifting, dropping gears". Have read these complaints about that derailleur on other bikes, though I realize no derailleur is perfect. But the 2023-2024 Forte improved with the change from the Tourney to the Arcus system, so I would rather you had kept the Arcus on the more demanding ebike. edited for typos
@@torinsall Adjustments to derailleurs is common . Whether its Dura -Ace or Tourney cable stretch is common on any new bike. We monitor all social media and forums and welcome anyone who has an issue with their bike to talk to our techs or email us. 99% of all situations are mostly resolved with minor adjustments that anyone can do. Thanks for your concern and advice. -BG
@@ZiZZOBikes Thank you for your quick response. Out of curiosity, what if someone wanted the e-Forte with the Shimamo Arcus derailleur now on the 2023-2024 Forte models? Why not offer that as an option for the e-Forte at the point of sale? Kind of like being offered purchase of a larger or extra battery, or other options, is often done at time of purchase?
@@torinsall Thanks for your suggestion. The bikes are already fully packed with foam / protective material and taking out bikes for customization is not part of our normal procedures. Maybe someday but not at this point. It is easy enough for someone to swap out any part they want on their own if they would like to customize it to their needs when it arrives. Thanks-BG
What to do about the fact that the derailuer refuses to even stick in 2nd gear at all? It just skips back and forth across 1st and 3rd. Also, 1st gear is nowhere near low enough for a bike with small wheels. Usually the only way I can actually get up even a moderate hill is to get off and push. I dont even get the point of the higher gears on this bike. Is there a gearset with lower gears available for people who ride in places that are not completely flat? And is there a known issue with the derailuer?
Thanks for your response. If you are having issues with the derailleur out of adjustment we have a video for that in Tonys Tech Tuesday Ep 2 . As far as gearing for hills goes everyone has different needs based on riding style and terrain. ZiZZO bikes come with industry standard parts and you could change them out to what meets your needs. Our 8 speed Liberte, Urbano, Forte 23, and Marino come with a 11-32 cassette and a 48 t chainring in the front that seems to suit most but again you could do modifications if you like. If you would like to speak to a technician you are always welcome to email us at support@zizzo.bike or call us at 1-866-788-2202 Mon -Fri 9am -6pm pst. Thanks!-BG
Hi there, Recently, I ordered Zizzo via Amazon canada. I felt the seat was not that comfortable so I bought a comfort seat via Amazon. I tried to change the saddle. For that I looked into the Zizzo video in RU-vid (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hwLFa8cqyfo.html). The bolt of seat post was really tight, so I dip it in warm water for about 30 minutes after which I was able to loosen the bolt. I removed the seat binder completely and connected the new comfort saddle from Amazon. It was all well. even had a ride for approx, 6 km. The next day, when I was trying to ride the bike, the saddle just fell off....The seat binder was no longer holding the saddle tight.. Now, I thought maybe going back to original seat might help. So, I changed the comfort saddle from Amazon to the original ZIzzo via saddle. However, the seat binder no longer holds the saddle tight. It keeps loosening. Could you please advise, what might have gone wrong? and how can I mitigate this problem? I also looked into seat post in Zizzo website, but not sure if it will be compatible to the zizzo via? And if it will be delivered to Canada? My friend has a Zizzo Campo and her seat binder works perfectly fine, binding the seat post to saddle tight and sturdy unlike mine. I was wondering, does the seat post of Zizzo campo works for Zizzo via and if we can order it online? Alternatively, can other company's seat post work for Zizzo via? Please advise. Thank you!
Hi Zizzo 🙋♀️ I just received my Zizzo Campo Yellow Folding Bike but I can't ride it yet bc I'm sick 🤒 but as soon as I recover I'll be riding my New Toy! Brooklyn NY time: 3:06pm Oh & Thank you for the videos & instructions!
Well done Zizzo for getting the bike certified to meet UL 2849. At 41lb the e-Forte is considerably lighter than my RadExpand (65lb), currently I’m using a Zizzo Liberte for the days I don’t want to lug the Rad onto the train ride to work. The e-Forte could replace both my bikes!
I'm having this exact issue. It's made worse by the play in the chain when tuning the bike. I have a 2023 Forte. I'll align this per the instructions provided but I throw a chain every other ride at this point. I love the bike and everything else about it but this is getting a little bit excessive. The chain being thrown about every 16 miles is a comical amount of times when I don't think I've tossed one on my hybrid Giant or my ebike once. I'd like to see the plastic part subbed out for a metal piece in the future or a guide on both sides of the chain.
Hello. If you try this adjustment and it still isn't helping please reach out to us M-F 9am-6 pm pst at 1-866-788-2202 or email us SUPPORT@ZIZZO.BIKE Thanks!-BG
Hey @alkibilko Unfortunately, there are mounts on the frame for disc brakes that are not found on ZiZZO Bikes. You would not be able to add disc brakes to a stock ZiZZO Frame. Tony
That's great that they include the headlight! It's annoying they do NOT deliver that with the add-on EMO kit. They also need to include a rear light though.
Debating this versus a similar but electric bike ( Jetson ) versus an E-scooter with each being able to fold / fit in my car back seat ( Mercedes c-230 ) area. Tough decisions 😢
Hey! Why does the Marino come with grips that LOOK like they should lock, but without any locking nuts?! :-( Once you've taken those off they never stay put, so don't provide any wrist support.
Hello. The grips on the Marino are just a similar looking style but not much different than some of the other models. As you well know none of the bikes come stock with locking grips. These grips seem to work just fine and so far nobody has had any issues. Thanks for your comment as we appreciate your time.-BG
There was a place in the Marina Districts, just a door or two off of Lombard, that made a pizza with an amazing buttery crust, almost like a quiche! I think they're gone, but let me know if they're still around. Sadly, Clown Alley, just down the street from there, is long gone.Clown Alley had the best menu in the history of menus! ;-)
I have two of these on my Campo and Forte, I live in a place that requires me to walk through a narrow space while carrying my bike and I don’t have to worry about damaging my deraillure anymore
Thank you for this video. I had no idea that a Dahon 20" folding bike could fit in a standard 31" x 21" Samsonite suit case, and quite handily, too. Thank you!
I used the Liberte almost every day for work. The subway requires my bike to fold. I have only had the bike four months and the folding hinge is stuck. I can't get it open enough to see much, (It pops open a tiny bit and the issue seems to be that the bolt can't move forward) but from what I can see there is no gunk or rust or anything that should be causing this. I fold the bike after every ride and store it inside. I wipe it down regularly. Do you have a suggestion to fix the stuck hinge? I'm getting into trouble if I try to bring the bike on the train and am really disappointed that the main feature of this bike so quickly has gone defunct and for seemingly no reason.
Hey @ashtonlindhorst5399 Thanks for your post. Based on what you are describing, it sounds like the "slide" (the part you mentioned is getting stuck slides on this part) may have gotten bent. When you are able to, please reach out to our customer Service Team at 866-788-2202 or support@zizzo.bike Looking forward to hearing from you! Tony
I have a Zizzo Forte with the preinstalled Pignose adapter. Just wondering what the weight limit of a loaded pignose bag is. They don't fill me with confidence just looking at them !
Great question! Riding DOES take a little getting used too! We are used to loads in the front of the bike MOVING when we turn the handlebars! It's a little "odd" when it doesn't as with the Pig Nose ;-) With that being said, We recommend that no more than 15LBS be placed on the Pig Nose. Please let us know if you have nay other questions. Tony
I'm thinking of getting the Urbano or the Liberté to fold and store under my ultralight airplane, so I can use it anda folding fuel bladder to ride to the nearest gas station when I land at airports (they dont have auto gas at airports). What size BOX would I need to build under my airplane fuselage to hold these bikes ?
Hello @vg23air! We can't tell you what size to make the box but I can give you the bikes folded dimensions. The dimensions of the 2 models you mentioned is H-27" L-31" W-13" Feel free to reach out at support@zizzo.bike Thanks!-BG
"It all depends!" There are A LOT of different tire options available, from road "slicks" to full on snow tires! What you need/want will depend on your specific riding style and area. When asked this question, we always recommend that you speak to the folks at your local bike shop! Why? These folks live, work and ride in the same places you do. They should have a good understanding of what your local needs would be AND ALSO, they should carry tires best suited to your area! ;-) Let us know if you have any other questions. Tony
