Thank you for your review, much appreciated. One question regarding the DUO: to your judgement what is the risk of the keyboard bottom to damage the lower screen having some rubbish attached to the bottom rubber of the keyboard? The Lenovo keeps distance between keyboard bottom and lower screen, imho the DUO too bad doesn't (am I right?) . Nevertheless I like the all-in-one concept of the DUO.
That is always a possibility, I haven't had any issues yet, I guess the biggest thing is to try not to put the keyboard on dirty surfaces, but the screen has some scratch resistance to it, just not like most higher end cellphones
i think 4:3 or 3:2 aspect ratio like Surface devices would be better for this form factor as it makes device easier to handle and good balance between vertical as well as horizontal orientation.
Lenovo missed the boat by not allowing for the keyboard to be carried between the screens. They made the same mistake with the X1 Fold 16 that I bought. So idiotic to have to carry the keyboard separately.
So disappointed in the connections they provided. The water input connector is a half inch which is incompatible with any faucet you have in the house. I thought it would be pretty easy to just put it in line between the shut off valve and water line to my faucet under my utility sink but no doesn’t fit. It’s also very difficult to find one half inch to 3/8 inch adopters for both sides of the line. Totally seems crazy to not just provide something that standard plumbing.
Hi, I agree they should include some adapters for different sizes, but in the United states the most common connection foset supply line is 1/2", this is probably the reason they only included that size.
Actually it’s not. Shut off valve is 3/8 on the faucet supply line side. The faucet side of the supply line is 1/2 inch but you aren’t connecting to the faucet you are connecting to the supply line. I couldn’t find 1/2 inch in ACE, Home Depot or Lowe’s, or Amazon. Couldn’t find a 1/2 inch shark bite shut off valve to replace the one I have which is 1/2 copper to 3/8. Washing machine is 3/4 so that didn’t work either.
@bluehannah8696 do you have copper lines? If so why not use the fridge connection like I used, very easy to install, self piercing and available most hardware stores. If you have pex then you can get sharkbite version as well.
It was actually a very brilliant solution for someone with your set up. My utility room isn’t near my refrigerator but I could drill through floor and find a water line somewhere in the basement but it just seems silly to me me to have to go through that effort when a simple 3/8 inline connector would be installed on 5 minutes. However after this conversation with you, I did relook online instead of just the store for a 1/2 inch shark bite shut off valve and I can get one. However I will have to disassemble my whole sink to reinstall it with 1/2 inch plumbing rather than the existing 3/8. I hope that I really love this vacuum after I go through all of this.
The goal is not to have to use the warranty haha. Ive had 2 previous asus laptops and currently have 2 along with multiple asus routers in my mesh system and thank god have not had to use warranty once in a 10 year span. Best thing to do is test your product vigorously during return period, and if any issues, return and exchange then.
When your running demanding tasks it does get a little hot on the bottom and warm on the lower screen. The fan noise it noticable on high but not as bad as some other laptops id say its mid range for noise, does not bother me.
Looks great. Do you know if the drain outlet is only gravity or whether it is pumped? I’m guessing it’s pumped so that it can go into a sink waste which would be a little higher than the base itself
The Zenbook Pro is more of a standard performance laptop, which comes with various dedicated graphics, so it will offer better performance but obviously not as fearure packed because it does not have a dual display and removable keyboard.
I still love it, just having android experiance being able to do mostly everything including watching videos is great. A few draw backs which dont bother me but might bother some. XM radio has very limited use, can change channels no other settings or ID. Every so often have to restart because of some lag, has to be connected to wifi, hotspot or have data plan to obviously use any app features aside from basic radio stuff. No other major issues. And I noticed the small on board battery is starting to go bad so it shuts down completly after some time with truck being off which takes a little longer to load when turning truck on which is not a big deal, just wont get rear view camera if you start your truck and immediatly want to reverse. I would def buy it again.
The customer service has been disappointing. It's been over two weeks, and I still haven't received a shipping date for my vacuum. I'm beginning to question whether purchasing from them was a mistake. Order 149514.
Such a clever place to install. Will be interested to see how you like your setup over time. I'm trying to figure out a place to do something similar where it can be somewhat tucked away. Probably the laundry room for me.
Almost 2 weeks and its working out great out of the way. I had s7 Maxv Ultra and it was in my dining room near corner and so glad I was able to tuck this one out of the way. Laundry room be a perfect spot as well.
Not natively, but I think third party apps depending what phone you have might work, I have not tested this yet, but most laptop screens support this so I dont see why this one would not.
@@TecYimBroke Just found out Toro installed the wrong part or height plate as they call it. You may want to contact your dealer and see what they can do for you.
Do the displays of the Asus Duo suffer a screendoor effect (especially noticeable on white background), like many other laptop OLEDs from Asus or other brands? Thanks a lot. Would love to see more about these devices, in case you have them in use.
So i dont really pay thay close of attention to screen details, but according to some users there is a slight appearance, however I barely notice it im assuming its more on certain colors.
Purchased one just a few hours ago. Was thinking of doing an unboxing video and came across this. We'll see how it does on it's first run tomorrow morning. I'll definitely put it through it's paces.
So used it twice so far and recorded quick video just gotta put it tog when i get time. So far loving it, very smooth operating, and kinda like the self oace control, I found when making turns having one hand on the self pace handle and other on the lower handle helps you make a smooth turn with control
Yes sink is the standard connection. It comes with a adapter to attaches to your current cold water line, you will just have to buy a 3/8 drain adapter from local hardware store.
@@xzplr3181 Yes, that is another great option you will just have to get a 1/2 splitter to 1/2 and 1/4. Also if drainage pipe is taller than 3ft might have to plumb in the adapter lower for drainage. @xzplr3181
Its hard to say what it could be as their are many factors including unsupported hdmi hub, bad cable connections. Wrong input channel on screen, bad hub connection. Just double check everything or try a different hdmi hub or a different screen or tv.
You need to hone your voice use because it is too obvious when you are reading and when you are speaking more freely. It can be hard work to achieve the 'right' style when the nature of your superb site is thoroughly technical but practice on friends, relatives and colleagues. I recently retired from years working for the UK government in IT acquisition for education, health services, HM Prison Service and sundry allocations to large state and local government users. We always planned well ahead and our tech people worked with we civil servants. With this sort of scenario in mind it is vital that thorough reviews like yours articulate in a human way and linger over such as I/O, accessibility for maintenance, robustness and how operatives can be efficient at their work. I have subscribed and have recommended your site to key colleagues still in post.
I will be doing another video more aimed at the Duo with. Im quite behind what I wanted to do because of unexpected events limiting my time for videos. Hopefully I will be able to do one in coming weeks. I just have a couple of others to do as well. Still loving the duo and no major issues. Is there anything specific you wanted to know?
If only the top screen of this laptop could rotate up to around 360 degrees, turning it into a convertible tablet. Then it would truly become the best and most unique type of laptop
