so happy for u! but this is also so weird because i remember watching your student teaching videos and your day in the life of a college student videos. im glad to have experienced the different parts of ur journey
You're gonna love it. You still have the pressures of a job but the comfort of home is unmatched. Especially coming from teaching kids. I'll never go back to working in an office if I can help it
You are radiating happiness!! This is my dream too. Please make a video comparing how different this is to teaching. And also how did you find this job? Would love to know more details!
I’m so happy for you! I teach for a virtual school and I love working from home. I can’t imagine going back to an in person job. Good luck and I hope you love your new role!
I am going into my first year as a classroom teacher. I've been support staff the last 7 years as the staff building substitute and special education paraprofessional. I will be in a fourth grade classroom at a charter school. I'm really excited but nervous as well. I will also be in a new school, luckily the school I am going to uses the same math curriculum that my last school does so that is one less new thing on my plate. I'm working putting together the "Bones" of my data binder, sub binder, and procedures now as I came across this video. Classroom jobs are something I've seen used and hadnt really thought about doing them ahead but you're right, there are a handful I know I am going to want to have and that are needed regardless of what school/grade I am in. I completed my alternative certification program (1st half of a Masters in Elementary Ed) in December 2023 with student teaching, in 4th grade.
I agree with the time. We are on our last week and feels like I blinked and May was over. Such an exciting chapter for you! Can't wait to see all the North Carolina content! 💛💛
Thank you so much!🤍 I enjoy both, but prefer 5th! The challenges in 3rd are definitely students struggling with self regulation and lots of tattling and little stuff like that. They still can become pretty independent though. 5th is more in tune with themselves and can self-regulate better for the most part. You can have more in-depth conversations with them about their emotions, but the challenge is come March they’re gearing up for middle school with the sass lol. I’m glad I had the chance to move down but I would for sure not go any lower than 3rd personally!
@@HaileyCarvalho thank you, this is really helpful! I'm planning to switch my major to education so this is helping me figure out what I want to teach!
Hello, did the school give you $120.00 to buy school supplies for the entire school year? I have never been in a Dollar Tree? Thanks for sharing your classroom supplies and information.
I've done so many things to prep for my first-year in fourth grade starting this August but I got so many new ideas from this video within just the first couple of minutes! I was immediately browsing TPT and adding things to my resources folders.
I love seeing all the fun activities you're doing in your elementary classroom! That same thing happened to one of my tables this year when I had my kids in the room so that caused some chaos lol. But we made it work and got it fixed.
Love your vlogs! Great to see what is going on in third grade! And all the wedding and moving excitement! So excited to follow on the next chapter of your journey! 💛
Hi Hailey(I don’t think I can ever get used to calling you by your first name after years of just saying your last ), I can’t believe that you are getting married. I remember talking about you getting married and how everyone would go to your wedding, and now a couple years later you are engaged! I am now more inspired into become a teacher, thanks to you! Miss you - Andrea
