I am doing a long-term substitute position for 5th grade math at a middle school. I agree that when you switch groups throughout the day it makes the day go by so fast. I have a good feeling about this year too! It's going to be a great year! 💛

i am not a normal teacher as i am a dance teacher, however one way i love teaching procedures to my new babies is to show them what i expect not to happen and then the kids go on a roll on what they shouldnt do and they all understand that i dont want to see that. i know that every teacher teaches differently its just a thought. i hope you have an amazing year, i can tell youre amazing 🥰

In education classes they actually recommend not doing that, and just teaching the expected behavior which is what I do. I use interactive modeling and it works pretty well. Thank you so much, you as well!!🥰🤍

I am a building substitute, and anytime I am not subbing, I am co-teaching with a 5th grade teacher. My school also departmentalizes 5th grade, and it's so great! I only focus on my subject without having to worry about teaching other subjects.

first year teacher here and we started school the same day as you. I also start teaching curriculum on Monday and I am so excited. Love your vibe and classroom!
