More about me and my sailings and other adventures on my homepage: bortomhorisonten.nu On my RU-vid channel I publish videos from my sailings and other travels when I have a chance. I live together with my partner Lucina on our sailboat Sarita, a Solitaire 52, right now in Greece. This is an advertisement free channel that is just for fun and documentation of things we love to do and want to share with more people. It is a mixture of short videos from moments to longer and more in depth videos that are edited. The quality of the videos varies but I hope you who watch them can enjoy the videos as much as us when we experience what you see. Thanks for watching!
@@annarossa8258 Triste da sentire, alcuni hanno scritto con apprezzamento per la musica. Puoi sempre abbassare il volume se vuoi. Cordiali saluti, Magnus
@@jckdnls9292 it might be a problem if the top sides are not rounded and being hard might hurt and you need straps to hold on to, so probably more difficult than a rubber dinghy.
OK if I did it I can see 3 problems - 1 my glasses will be gone for ever,, 2 i will strain my stomach muscles and not be able to sit up for a week, 3 the boat flips over with me under it. Otherwise its a great idea.
hello, thank you for this nice video. We are currently in Mesolongi and we would like to spend the winter at anchor in the bay. In your video I don't see a boat at anchor. Have you seen boats spending the winter at anchor? Does this seem possible to you? we live on board and we have already spent winters at anchor in the Balearic Islands.
Yes it is possible, but in winter storms with southerly winds the sea kicks up a bit but with warning you can tie up in the marina then. A fair amount of thunder fronts passes by during the winter as well so gusty winds from different directions at times. But also nice weather in periods. The holding is good and the town cay is free (but in southerlies it is exposed). So I say it is possible but watch the weather and at times uncomfortable at the anchorage (a bit bumpy in the marina as well but with two mooring lines and plenty of shore line it was ok). Problem is that safe alternatives is a bit away so planning and weather watch important if anchoring the whole winter.
There are more pictures on our homepage you can look at, link below. I think I have a video somewhere if you want more details. If you have any questions please get back to me. bortomhorisonten.nu/sarita-solitaire-52-english/
Thank you very much Magnus for your very excellent video coverage of this amazing part of the wild Patagonia region. For Milo and her very good seamanship and skill that she has demonstrated. I have held a very great fascination for the wild and beautiful region of Patagonia/Terra del Fuego . I was lucky enough to do a cruise ship voyage just before the Covid outbreak. We visited a few of the places that you have shown but you have covered so very much more in your voyage with Milo. I love your back ground music that is so fitting to the beautiful and wild scenery that you have covered. I so much wish to visit more closely the Patagonian wilderness. Probably a few days staying in Ushuaia would be great so as to be able to examine more closely the vegetation and scenery.
Thank you for your kind words, I hope you will get a chance to enjoy this beautiful area again. - [ ] The music is created and performed by Johnny Östergren, a friend that compose and record music in his spare time and is vey generous letting me use his music in my videos. Distinguished and adventurous Swedish citizen, worthy representative of ancient and courageous Viking navigators from cold and beautiful northern lands, I can only tell you that you should have reached the end of the world to crown your beautiful journey: the small Chilean city of Puerto Williams (Navarino Island). It is not the end of the world, but much further south, that is, to the Cape Horn archipelago, the so-called "Navigators' Everest"; the true geographical end of the world, and the last corner of the American continent before reaching Antarctica. Greetings from Chile; from the beautiful, green and crazy geography of Chilean Patagonia
Yes Andy, truly spectacular area. Milo changed crew here and sailed to Antarctica and back with other people decided earlier. So she and her boat did what you mentioned, but that was not part of my story :-).
Yes, a fantastic area but also challenging. - [ ] The music is created and performed by Johnny Östergren, a friend that compose and record music in his spare time and is vey generous letting me use his music in my videos. E' molto difficile poter descrivere una "poesia" poiché tutto è ciò che si percepisce in una assoluta condivisione, e l'esistenza si mostra in tutto il suo afflato. Paolo from Italy - Siena
In the cities like Valdivia and Puero Montt it was cheap, especially local products. But in Patagonia it is hard to find shops, basically only one small town, Puerto Eden, and mostly tinned expensive food. For better updates information you can ask Sea Wind that is there now. C'mon folks and give these guys a thumbs up! 👍🏽 After all their efforts making and sharing videos, from remote places, they are worth a 👍🏽 don't ya think?
Thanks Miq, for the kind words. Not really making the videos to get thumbs up, more to cherish the memories for us and update friends and family of what we are up to. But encouragements are always welcome, so thanks! :-)
I loved that vid. Everything about it: brave travelers, beautiful scenery, far away yacht clubs and fishermen, and music that embellished rather than detracted (as is usual)....I would crew for you anytime, Milo. And the cooking looked great as well.
