This Movie was TRASH, I "SEEN" the 1st Beetlejuice in the movie theaters when it came out, so Im a living hard Fan of Beetlejuice..!!! I think this movie was all a Money Grab.. The movie was all over the place and it didnt make any sense and Beetlejuice has a Wife hunting him down wtf Nah Buddy.. Beetlejuice s supposed to be dark, not a Musical.. Tim Burton definitely fumbled the ball on this one.. Im so tired of Part.2 movies being lame.. this movie basically in my opinion Ruined Beetlejuice Image, it feels like a D.E.I Movies.. My Wife and I give it 4 Thumbs Down..
I was actually disappointed that it wasn't worse. A 0% movie is like Madam Webb, and I expected worse than that. This was just a kind of mid Hollywood cash grab. Not exactly a 0.
yeah i was expecting it to be really terrible and it was just regular bad. I say dont adapt anything unless you're willing to put the work in to get it right or at least make it decent.
Which is odd, I came home and looked up to see oh did he write the first but not the second, but no he never wrote the first one either. Some elements felt very similar to the first, the practical effects and such but some not so much. Changing with the times perhaps.
@@treystephens6166 I think I was more focused on why he was still clearly speaking english and why it was dubbed over than paying attention to what language i was hearing. But I should certainly know the difference between the two, so I appreciate the helping hand.
@cinematicsarcastic I hope this works. So many parts I like. Hmm I did enjoy the part where Beetlejuice spills his guts, Delores being put together, wedding song, etc. Even though I hate thar song. 😂
@@martianleader1 Dads are the worst!! Mine used to sneak my room when I was little to make the noise of the skeksis from The Dark Crystal. I am now terrified to death of that movie lol
After Stuckmans recent 'non-reviews' -- this is where I come for the real talk 😁 It seems to be a common trend of making messy films with too many characters and a lack of focus. I suppose there is the lure to throw everything into the pot for a sequel like this. I suppose Bladerunner 2049 is the best example I can think of that really worked. That didn't jump around too much and it seemed to cut the side stories of the gang we meet later, in favour of keeping it concise.
Ohhh I loved Bladerunner 2049! Great example of a good sequel. I honestly think this one would have worked really well just with one singular story and they left it open at the end...so like why not save some of the other plotlines for potential next films?? Fair that Keaton is getting up there and maybe more films isnt possible but why cram everything into one film.
Oh my!!! I had not even heard about any of that! Now I wish they had not included him at all! And better yet that I had skipped over talking about it in my review!
I felt that there was absolutely no chemistry between any of the characters. (Girl does not want to be with her rich, handsome and nice boyfriend because he loves her too much?? Smh Like wtf) No memorable moments, i did not find anything funny about this show. The story was boring....ummm let me think...some information about greek mythology they got wrong and i also really did not like the adaptation of the underworld. Me being a fan of greek mythology, this show offends me.
Haha yeah i think this is why I like more historical? adaptations of greek myth. Even if they are bad, they are still good. I'm just not a fan of Zeus in a track suit lol
Saw Goldblum mention Kaos when hosting Kimmel then I binged watched it during Labor Day weekend between US Open matches. It was very well done & expensive looking. Anyone who knows about Greco-Roman myth knows this is arguably the best modern day re-envisioning we've seen yet. It's not your typical sword & sandal fare. Also, don't be fooled by any haters branding the show as woke. Caeneus is a famous trans myth and the way the show retooled it was cool. Overall, I was really impressed with the performances, writing, & production budget. In terms of storytelling, Kaos’ Postmodern, anachronistic approach is reminiscent of Baz’s Romeo + Juliet (1996) & the Judeo-Christian quest-filled world-building of Peacock's Mrs. Davis as well as Amazon's Good Omens. While the represented myths aren’t addressed in full, they connect to each other in ways that amplify, examine, & arrive at the question and genesis of modern, secular humanity. Plus, the dark comedy tone is fun & campy, too. From a programming perspective, Kaos fills the void of shows like Umbrella Academy & Sandman. It is also aligned with Netflix’s other Hellenic programming like Blood of Zeus. The diverse casting is overwhelmingly British, per Netflix UK, but is conscientious & dynamic without feeling heavy-handed or shoe-horned.
I'm glad you enjoyed it! I like the sword and sandals lol, so for me it wasnt a win. And I would not label the show as woke because any reading of any greek myth...well most myths lets be honest, are often very open in terms of sexuality. I am currently finishing up Stone Blind and that is a retelling I vastly enjoy but again, its swords and sandals. I will pick that over modern every time.
I couldn’t even get through 10 minutes of the first episode. I feel like the show couldn’t help but use reference humor to make us go “oh look it’s Jeff Goldblum as Zeus! Oh look it’s Hera in the modern age!”.
lol it doesn't help that Jeff Goldblum always just plays Jeff Goldblum. But I agree. I don't mind modern retellings -not my favorite but some can and have been done well - this just wasn't one of them for me.
This show right here I didn’t even give a chance. And I usually give everything a chance. I have a show that would like you to talk about. Let’s talk about, well actually I have an order if all possible? Suits, Blue Collars, Lucifer, Prison Break, Ozarks. I have more but that leaves a good start. I don’t know if you have done any of these. I’ve looked through your videos, but I don’t remember recalling any of those. Those are my favorite TV shows. The oldest one there is prison break. also vampire diaries is a good one. Appreciate your insight. Maybe we can collapse someday go live together. We come up with a plan at a time and a date we can go live and discuss a topic a movie and a TV show or something that you would like to do and that also would probably give views and subscribers and stuff like that fast. We could go off your life channel unless you can’t and then we can go off mine either way. If you’d like to.
I have the same thoughts about this movie. He had some decent actors and actresses, but at the same time the director and the writer did not execute enough at the beginning of the movie for to be a let’s say I catcher or even a more thrilling experience. Not gonna lie I feel like I wasted an hour and a half of my life lol thanks for sharing.
yeah kind of a bummer. So many plot holes! Or just a script that didnt make sense if you think about it longer than a few seconds. I really enjoyed the ending, I just wish they had found a better way of making the movie great overall.
@@cinematicsarcastic very true. Well said! You do voiceovers while you’re showing the videos. I’d like to see you. Try to put yourself inside the video where we can see you talking and pointing stuff out. I’d like to see you don’t have to do it every time. Just a thought. Thank you.
I like this Movie but I did not like it when Travis died the way he got killed. I cried very hard. It was sad. Travis is so very Sexy I love his Sexy Blue Eyes and Smile
Thank you for supporting Jason Hawes and others. This woman is digging herself deeper into a hole with every message she sends without realising it. She is delusional and needs help asap. As I mentioned on Jason's post.... he needs to 'Ghost' her! 👻 and have done with it.
