@@dasaka5643 theoretically yes.. But for some reason any elrs unit I tested on would never work. Never got to the bottom of it. I got to point I was wondering if elrs will not run at the lower baud rate that the little board is capable of. I don't think you can get these boards anymore, so chances are a newer board would work better - but code would need updating.
The hobby is where it is with clever folks just like you….this sort of development work is truly amazing, takes time and above all you do this for the love of the hobby.. amazing work Rob, never fail to impress me. 😎👍
@@brianroberts5062 I know there is a dev looking at the castle stuff. Not sure on end progress! The hobbywing v5 protocol is currently supported for esc configuration. V4 is currently only supported for telemetry.
@@RTRCTV ok. I fly rc-planes for long time, but now im very interessted in flying fpv copter. But i need elrs for this. My radio only make accst, acsess and twin. Then i think about a elrs modul because i dont want buy a new radio(my kavan v20 is brand new,the sticks are awesome) I come from mpx/profiTX premium edition.
Download the latest sim from here github.com/FrSkyRC/ETHOS-Feedback-Community The sim has a folder.. Normally... C:/users/username/.ethos /. X20 /scripts Please on that folder.
@@proxdrian for good reason. The module bay area has some antennas for bluetooth etc sitting there waiting to get blocked by an aluminium cage :) What did you break? The module holder itself? I would think the issue is the module you chose to plugin. Annoyingly frsky (who designed the bay and specs) have been hit with 3rd parties making the same bay yo slightly different specs. Net result you now have a plethora of modules that are not well fitted to the frsky specs! General point on regards to the bay. Do not force! Never force. Don't.. Just don't.
@@jamieboehm3076 rotorflight is not for everybody - it's getting easier all the time and has a wealth of support on discord and Facebook. Have you asked for help?
Hi Rob, thank you so much for this and rf2ethos. They are very useful and work great. Is there a way to stop resetting the timer when you disarm. I'm currently in the tuning phase so keep landing and disarming while I change pid's. Cheers
@@RTRCTV thanks for the reply Rob, yes i will add a additional timer on ethos. I just wondered of there was a easy setting. Thanks again for the great work you are doing, Its really appreciated 😁👍👍👍
Any chance you could do a tutorial on how to do this? I have an x20S and I recently ordered the same ELRS module. I am trying to get it set up on the FlyDragon with the built in ELRS
@@jamieboehm3076 drop past rotorflight.org You will need to download the configurator. Lots of info available on the wiki on the site on how to setup the system.
@@jamieboehm3076 they work well with both of those radios. In fact.. Just this week somebody provided the code to support sbus2 with telemetry. I personally favour the frsky radios. But all about choice!
@@RTRCTVHi just to confirm, this works with Spektrum transmitter and Spektrum sats? Also does it support SRXL2 telemetry using a Hobbywing 80A or largers esc?
@@jamieboehm3076 growing number atm. Kyle Stacey had been playing... Jonus from omp... Diego arce... Charlie Keeble..... List is growing. But hey.. Depends I guess if you feel your purchase needs validation or not. Drop onto discord and you will find many 'pro' guys starting to take notice.
@@rchelifreek4713 I use an x20 pro. These days would say best value frsky bang for buck is the x20rs. Pretty much any frsky genuine rx with fport will work. Currently I use the twmx receivers - but have had plenty success with the archer receiver range too. Likewise the tandem rx work well.
Hello No, I'm sorry to have to tell you that your widget for the HorusX10 unfortunately doesn't appear and yes, I did it exactly as shown in the video and I also selected the right drive, but it just doesn't appear. I have already loaded several widgets onto my transmitter and they all work!! My brother has an X20S with Ethos version 1.5.10 and it doesn't appear there either. What can we do to make it work???
Hello Rob I just downloaded it and put it on my SD card and still can't find your widget. What am I doing wrong. I did not copy the RF2STATUS-4.32 folder, but opened this folder and then transferred the rf2status file to the SD card under Scripts. thank you for your quick help
Hello Rob Thanks for the info, but I can't find the widget in the configuration. In the transmitter under the file manager I find the RF2STATUS script and the Main Lua. Thanks for your help. I have installed Ethos 1.5.9
The module doesn't allow for frequency fine tuning right? How do we get around that hurtal? The radio master requires fine tuning to get the most range.
Hello Do you know if Peter is accepting orders for those switches and the short shafts for a jetti ds 16 gen 2 ? I tried to order a couple off his site and my PayPal wouldn’t go thru completely as if there end was off ? Is he still making them ? And does he ship to the states ? Ty John
@@fuliwang-y1j Is your widget installed? If so.. in advanced settings turn on min/max settings. You can also - click on widget; then 'View logs' this will show you the past flight. If you are finding as soon as 'disarmed' that you do not see min/max.. chances are you have set both your idleup and arm switch to the same switch?
Amazing stuff! Just got the lua running on my x20. 2 questions that I can't seem to find a answer for. What do the triggers trigger? And How do I get the widget to display a picture. Thanks for your work!
@@RTRCTV my bad I mean the widget. I can't seem to get the bitmap of the model in the picture screen. And am confused about what the trigger actually triggers or sets
@@RubenRC94 Right. The model is essentially just using the model image that is assigned to the model in the ethos model settings. If you add an image to the model - it will work. However... the widget only checks this on first boot - so if you 'change' or 'edit' the model - you will need to restart the radio / change models to make the widget pickup the new model. The 'triggers' is a three state thing: - armed - hold - delay The purpose of this is to let the widget know your switch positions. If 'armed' and 'not in hold'... then after the delay.. start the timer and record max/min values. Does that make sense?
Hi there just bump into this video on the jeti senors Would this work with any flight controller im thinking the speedybee wing Also how do you setup them up
Given the package value I picked up one unit when I got the chance I have a few TRex Nitro 600NSPs as well as a Align Trex 600E. How does this handle Nitro? I can't find any specific info about it and I don't want to be a ginnea pig with my cherished nitro bids which have used Helicommand and msbrain in the past. Were any of the beta testers nitro guys? How vibration resistant is it? When it came to open source heli flight control I had pinned a lot of my hopes on Ardupilot and Cube. How does Rotoflight 2.0 and Nexxus compare?
