I don't know if this is helpful or not... But if your only qualm with petiteknit is the sizing wrt the measurements, I live in Denmark and her sizing measurements are pretty accurate for 3XL, 4XL etc. I'm a Canadian living in Denmark and when I moved here I had to size up because a North American XL =/= a Danish XL. I am new to knitting and petiteknit in general so I imagine there is more nuance to your opinion but I figured I would give this piece of information in case there's a misunderstanding. The Craft Yarn Council is also American for reference. Saying all of this, maybe she could create a disclaimer on her website, I'm not sure. For a Danish company, she is extremely size inclusive (sadly).
I love your channel. I’m a new knitter and am also a 9inch circular sock knitter. I’ve got my first one in progress…after trying magic loop and not being able to avoid laddering. And just not liking that process. Do you use double pointed needles for the heels and toes?
Lovely, lovely knits! I love your style! I used to be really good at math, too, but I married a mathematician and I haven't had to do math since, so it's REALLY rusty haha.
It really is amazing how much you were able to knit in a year!! I understand completely about the link between knitting and mental health. Your projects all turned out lovely......even the single bat sock❤❤❤
I only made one Jacqueline cieslak pattern so far (a cardigan) but I loved it ! And I absolutely love how your Stella quilt cushion is looking, the colours are beautiful
Their patterns are so well written, I'm so excited to make more (I have a cottage cardigan planned). And thank you, I'm excited about the colour combos :)
Are you participating in summer sock camp 2024? With all the socks you're knitting, you really should be. Love your Stella quilt cushion. So pretty. I know someone else who did one too. Really looks nice. Love that she is coming out with a blanket pattern. Have a good week❤❤
I absolutely love the book club cardigan but much like you I am terrified of cables and I have not yet been able to gather the courage to try and conquer that fear.
Try respinning your single to match the other! They haven’t been washed and set yet. In the beginning I respun many a single to fix. 🤦🏻♀️ give it a little try
@@popsiclefrogknits haha that’s how I know 😂😂😂 I’ve made every mistake! I’ve had to run my plied yarn through again to either tighten up the twist angle OR loosen it up 🤦🏻♀️ Everything can be fixed thank God! But spinning has so many benefits for my brain and soul. It soothes me
I'm excited to see how your book club cardigan turns out! I wanted to cast this on when it came out but I have two sweater wips and one more in my queue before I think I can get to it 😅
I love all of these projects! Also- You’re TOO NICE!! I’m so glad you love your Princess Diaries Fiber!! Seeing your excitement for it makes me so flipping happy! I LOVE the plan to use it somehow with that other braid- I can’t wait to see what you come up with!!
I was about to begin the (dreaded) Mattress Stitch on this Frog I started this afternoon when this video popped up in my feed. 1st of all the internet knows way too much of my shit...! (Half done by the time you were ready to sew.) Debated breathing into a paper bag ... stopped your video while procrastinated another five minutes.
Turned this back on to see how we did... lol... at the exact instant you said (we) should remove the stitch markers I remembered they were still inside. (You're way ahead of me now :))
Hi from Richardson TX! I just found your podcast! I heard you visited DFW fiber fest so I wanted to tell you there’s a Dallas Hand Knitters Guild and even a Dallas Weaving and Handspinning guild! There’s also small groups that meet for each (the guilds don’t meet a lot of the summer and start back in the fall). Small groups still meet through the summer. I found them in October after moving here and everyone has been super welcoming! We’d love you have you! ❤ Happy knitting & spinning ❤
Hi, I'm so glad you're here :) That all sounds amazing but unfortunately I don't live in Dallas :( I was just visiting for work from Houston, but I wish I could join you all!
I’m so glad to hear you bought an electric eel! You can spin anywhere!!! I skipped the whole wheel for so many reasons. I’ve been spinning for a few years now and still love it. BFL is my favorite. I have done 2 sweaters to date plus some smaller items. Dreaming Robots should have included a card for measuring twist angle and thickness of your single. It’s a great tool! Excited for you 😊
That's amazing!! I'm having so much fun with mine and I can't wait to get to a point where I can spin for a full garment!! I'll have to try BFL, I love using it as a yarn so hopefully I'll love spinning the fibre!
So glad to have another video from you! I was looking through the projects for a pattern on Ravelry last week (possibly the Dad sweater by Emily Curtis) and saw a project from you and checked to see if you'd uploaded recently. Also I really want to say how nice it is to see you still mentioning if a pattern is size inclusive and letting it influence whether or not you support a pattern/designer. I have noticed that a lot of creators seem to have moved past the 'trend' of caring about/mentioning the size inclusivity of a pattern and it speaks volumes that you still care to consider it let alone mention it on your platform. Oh and thanks for the heads up about the Ballerina Wrap Top, it has been added to my favourites.
Wow, your plans exhaust me! I am working on the Easy Bralette for my daughter. Love the look of it, but remembering how much i dislike knitting ribbing!
Hahahaha, honestly I'll probably only get half of them done but I decided to just add all of them to the video!! The easy bralette is such a cute pattern!!
The artist of the pattern has explicitly requested that people not distribute it in any way, so sharing that would unfortunately violate the copyright. But the pattern is pretty cheap!
