Rollercoaster Tycoon guides, tips, tricks and playthroughs.
I’m rediscovering the fun of Roller Coaster Tycoon all over again, and trying my hand at it's new mobile iteration, and I'm sharing my adventure with you. So offer me hints, ask me questions and share in the fun as I complete legendary scenarios, figure out the best ways to win and build some realistic, exciting parks and rides... and some not so realistic ones! I’m Tony, welcome aboard my ride.
Wow! Its been a while since i played roller coaster tycoon! A great memory i have is getting picked up from school by my dad, getting into the car and seeing the game on the seat. It was a great gift, i played it for hours!
Yeah I have to agree this is very mediocre coaster type in my opinion However scenarios with a higher intensity interest among the guests make this coaster very beneficial
Even though the handful of such parks I visited in real life all had things like "Food courts", whenever I played this game, from the very first original RCT onwards, I always did spread out the shops. Not because for any other reason other than that it felt...natural. Which is extra weird. Thanks for the video.
@@TonyMosci Thanks. There may be others too from other scenarios as I do remember one from an early scenario in RCT Classic but can’t remember the name.
One simple early step I'd take is fixing the abysmal path layout. Linking the left and right halves of the park at the back (connecting the exit path of Quiver to near the entrance to Flightmare) does a world of good. I'd also use block brakes and a split entry/exit station on Quiver as bobsleigh coasters are liable to crash.
I’ve never had problems with Mel’s world. It’s one of my favorite scenarios on RCTC. I always build a park that can rival Cedar Point in Sandusky Ohio.
One trick is to set the entry fee to the highest guests spawn with, and then advertise as much as you can. The natural guest generation will be terrible, but the guests spawned from ads will pay the absurdly high entrance fee. You can do this trick with as little as one flat ride and one stall so you can run all the ads
True. I believe that guests do get thirsty when eating food, but that depends on how long it takes before the item is consumed. And because “salty” items take often longer to consume (like fried chicken and fries), that is probably the origin of this myth
I like what parkitect did where you need to think about the shipment point and staff paths. It makes this decision a little more interesting because it makes grouping stalls more viable but still has these downsides
Unless the financial gain is large (and apparently isn’t) the 👍🏼 aesthetics of several mini food courts throughout will be the plan for my parks. 4-6 stalls or so per location.
I almost lost during Magic Quarters scenario BECAUSE of the prebuilt train on the map. i didnt know depressed guest would take it no mather what. its a 4 years scenario. you need a 400k park and 600 rating, free ride... mid year 4 my rating plummeted to 0. i have a full park of 600-700k in value. and 5500 guests that can't get out because of that train. I randomly watched your video. closed the train, got 100 entertainers, manually picked the "i want to go home" guests and got my 999 rating back in september...
1-open your scenario in OpenRCT2. 2-download "Shop Price Manager" Plugin 3-unlock all the shops using the cheats menu 4-set said plugin so that 90% guests would buy food in 2 tries, drinks in 3 and souvenirs in 4. 5-note the automated prices on a piece of paper. 6- reopen your park, adjust.
the 1 tile maze is the best gentle ride for practical uses. I made a nice 2 tile maze. the enterance and exit of the 2 tile maze can both go to the same side of the maze. any bigger maze is just worse than these mazes. if just want a pretty or realistic maze, that can justify other mazes.
every official scenario in rct is possible without staff. just delete and rebuild stuff. if a path is covered by vomit, repave it. If a ride is broken down, demolish it and replace it. avoid exesive nausea. rides that can't break down are convenient. food stalls that can't produce litter are good.
