Hey, I'm looking for a beginner bike and went to all the shops nearby and could not find anything that fit me. I'm 6'3 / 6,4 (in between ish) and weight about 300 lbs. I'm 20 years old and looking for a first bike. There is a 2016 Yamaha Stryker with 2000km for sale near me. Would the bike be a good fit. Are parts easier to find. Is it reliable. Will I make the bike look like a grom? Thanks
Bro, Stryker is a big bike, so will be perfect for your height. Too much power and weight as a first bike though, I wouldn't recommend a close friend to start riding with a Stryker. Should start with something smaller and less powerful. And in regards to parts, this bike is no longer in production. But as long as you have a Yamaha dealer and service centre, they will be able to replace parts if anything goes wrong.
@maximrahman I agree with you, but I can not find any bike that fits me. The vulcan 900 is the other option as it's the second biggest bike, but to me, I can even sit on it properly. I wanted a smaller bike in the beginning as well, but all other bikes are un rideable. I am looking for a bike that I will grow into. It's not a bike that I will have for this season and then sell. I want to keep it for a few years and then sell to get an even bigger bike. Is the acceleration really that hard on this bike?
@@mohsinnasir7453 You won't find that many options bigger than Stryker that is for sure man. Breakout looks tiny next to Stryker, even the Fatboy is I believe the same size or a tiny bit shorter. Go for it then, ride safe for the first year or so.
I started on a stryker as my first bike it's not that bad just respect the machine and DONT DUMP THE CLUTCH other than that you really just learn as you go
What did you end up getting bro I started out on a V-Star 650 Classic ( 650 cc biggest you can ride as a learner in Australia) I'm 5'8 230 ..Great learner bike and at that time plenty of aftermarket parts to customise the look but none for performance. Brought a 2015 Stryker last year and honestly believe 1300 is very manageable to ride as a beginner bike if your sensible and keep practicing and ride with in your skill level. Wife has a 2024 Vulcan S and it's a fantastic bike , light ,agile , ABS and 6 th gear which the Stryker doesn't have . Definitely a good round option and it's quick enough once you gain more experience and confidence
i have a 12’ Stryker. My favorite bike ive owned il never get rid of it. Got cobras and some nice viking bags on mine. I love you color man! Mines red but that grey is perfect
I just bought a 2011 Yamaha Stryker that's all blacked out and that sounds hella good as well as hella fast with only 12,500 miles on it and I love it so far, it's a hell of a machine that's for sure!
@@maximrahmanI gotcha, wasn't trying to be an asshole or anything just would hate to see that bike get messed up due to water damage is all. As long as you don't do it while it's hot obviously and don't get it in all the important parts of the bike then you should be fine. Lol. I've an all blacked out and chrome 2011 Stryker that's a beauty as well without a scratch on her with only 13,000 miles and with the blacked out front wind shield so I know how great of bikes they're. Nice bike and keep it looking good my friend!

Hey man , honestly confused as to why you shouldn't wash your bike like this as it's not different to how I wash my bikes at home and never had any issues
Thought you were going to go from stop Not a roll on - i have a 2015 with Vance and Hines slash pipes , hyper charger and EJK fuel controller - things a blast and will be a keeper but looking at getting the Ivans ECU tune .Fun bike but looking at getting a Warrior next
Yeah that was the intent bro, but it turned green before I could stop completely. Vance and Hines pipes never go wrong, and glad you are enjoying your bike! Never rode a warrior but should be a ton of fun.
I ride the Stryker's daddy, a V Star 1300 (I believe called the Midnight Star there). Quite possibly the finest mid-size V Twin powerplant on the market.
I'm terribly sorry for your loss! Know she is happy, wherever she may be, especially with you making such beautiful music in her memory! This was astounding!
Awesome. I own a Yamaha Stryker, play Yamaha bass through Yamaha PB-1 bass preamp. I swear it's a coincidence and I didn't just blindly buy Yamaha products. They are the best at what they do, and they do everything. If they made a car, I'd probably own one, too. I have a 2011 Yamaha Stryker, 1st year and I absolutely love it.
