I lost my mom a couple years back and this song hits me hard. Every time I listen to it, there is something so powerful, brings back such strong emotions. I tried to be genuine in bringing that same emotion that I was feeling through the notes I played. If there is anyone out there who would feel their mom as I did while playing this piece, I'd consider sharing this very personal moment with the world worthwhile.
The song is from a Hindi movie called 'Taare Zameen Par' and this song is called Maa. The most beautiful thing about the song, other than it being incredible beautiful is that one line which basically means 'I care for you a lot but can never express it, but I know you know this mom'. I can relate to this so very much, it's the same with my mom, and I hope she knew how much she means to me.
