its like kyoya won against ryugas original power and ldrago sensed they were gonna lose so he just took over. but to me kyoya technically won against ryuga but lost against ldrago
True, but he would've been forced to use some of the stolen power to do so. If he tried to win with just his own power, he would've lost the clash against Furious Blast Shot.
IMO Kyoya is the GOAT of the series. Ryuga has antagonist plot armor and a special bey. Gingka has a special bey and has protagonist plot armor. Kyoya out here on the same level with a regular bey

I think this was honestly the first time we actually see the real Ryuga without being under the Dark Power’s influence. Kyoya challenging Ryuga to a real battle with Ryuga’s own strength instead of the Dark Power momentarily snapped Ryuga out of the Dark Power’s influence/hold over Ryuga that its had all Season ever since he touched L-Drago. It was the first time where we’ve seen Ryuga’s true Blader’s Spirit.
I would like to point out that even though against Tsubasa Ryuga was using the stolen power of other bladers it won't really make any significant difference since Ryuga by that point had only stolen the power of complete fodders like Hikaru and the dark nebula bladers and later on he took the power of aome strong bladers like Doji and Tsubasa which would actually matter
Not many people bring this up but when L drago took control over ryuga,kyoya actually seemed more worried for ryuga then anything else, obviously he still wanted to win, but i think it’s kinda just a cool moment to humanize kyoya and show how even tho ryuga is the antagonist, kyoya and others still care about him
Yes, it's the dark power taking control. Not because ryuga would've lost but because the dark power only cares about getting fed. A victory without getting fed is only a waste of energy for the dark power. So it took control to feed on kyoya instead of allowing ryuga to "waste" his energy battling him
It's interesting because it's never explained in detail but kyoya was probably stronger than ryuga here L-drago panicked because kyoya was pushing ryuga back then after L-drago taking over the fight he used all the power he had at that time and kyoya was STILL able to go toe to toe with it
Yeah because Ryuga would’ve needed to be strong enough without the Dark Power in order to defeat Kyoya’s new special move. Kyoya was able to clash equally against the Dark Power with his new special move, at least temporarily. Kyoya definitely would’ve won without the interference.
I think L-Drago just didn’t like that Kyoya was closer in comparison to Ryuga while he was using his power even though he was still winning. And the whole idea of the battle was to steal Kyoya’s power to use against Gingka in the final battle so L-Drago had to come out and took over. THIS BATTLE WAS SO EPIC, I COULD WATCH IT AT ANY TIME AND GET HYPED!!!!
L drago did not intervene. The dark power did. The dark power doesn't care about victory or defeat, it only cares about feeding on the opponent. Ryuga winning without the dark power would be a loss of food for the dark power. That's why the dark power intervened, not to win but to get fed
@@emmy4537 that's not the point. Kyoya winning or losing is completely irrelevant to the intervention of the dark power. The dark power doesn't care about victory. The dark power cares about getting fed. When it possessed ryuga it called all the energy that ryuga spent in the fight wounds that had to be healed. If ryuga won without the dark power, the dark power would consider that a loss. Ryuga was dominating the fight even without the dark power, kyoya winning is a stretch
@@tacotruck5009 Ryuga can only use Soaring Destruction while possessed. It’s much stronger than Bite Strike. Kyoya’s new moved clashed equally with SD until Kyoya inevitably succumbed to the Dark Power. This means that unless Ryuga were strong enough on his own then he would’ve lost to Kyoya’s new move.

People like to say kyoya could have won but Ryuga was winning the whole fight even without the dark power. And people also like to use the excuse of Kyoya had another special move. Well so did Ryuga which he did use. And we even sent that Reji had a dark move but wasn’t affected by the dark power. So you don’t need the dark power to use it.x
Ryuga has only used that 2nd Dark Move while possessed. Ryuga literally won cuz of antagonist plot armor. Seriously Ryuga and Gingka are the most overrated bladers in the series

@@damonestephens8722If the Dark Power didn’t interfere then Ryuga would’ve needed to be strong enough on his own in order to defeat Kyoya’s new special move. That would’ve been unlikely, considering the fact that Kyoya’s new special move was able to equally clash with the Dragon Emperor Soaring Destruction (DESD), at least temporarily. Keep in mind that Ryuga can only use DESD when possessed and it is much stronger than the Bite Strike. Even if Ryuga had enough power for the Bite Strike he still would’ve lost against Furious Blast Shot. Kyoya definitely would’ve won if L-Drago didn’t interfere.

PEAK TIME, the Best fight between the two best characters in my opinion. This felt like a climax and I actually thought Kyoya might pull it off. So basically Kyoya won against Ryuga in a head up fight especially Ryuga agreeing with Kyoya using his own strength. But Kyoya lost to L Drago who took over and used the power of all the other blader’s it stole.

My justification for Ryo has always been that he needed to fake his death so the dark nebula doesn't continue trying to hunt him down while he's weak . ( Also in the manga he practically dies but pheonix is in the temple to and it sort of brings him back to life if I'm not mistaken ( ok I'm not 100 percent sure about this I might remember wrong ) .
