If i sit without support or pillow .. will it make my back muscles strong over period of time?
@posturechiro
@posturechiro 14 часов назад
Not if you're having to tense muscles to stay that way. Tension isn't the same as strength. Start with the pillow and then you'll notice that for short periods you can sit aligned without a pillow...while keeping your spine relaxed.

Great video..... I think this machine or topic or concept is highly under rated..... I mean not documented well. I wonder you could tell us angle....... I think for beginners for may be 4 to 6 weeks maximum 45 degree is good. Later someone could go to the maximum 60 degree..... What do you think? Higher angle (45 degree) and more minutes OR 60 degree angle and less minutes? Again very good video....
@posturechiro

Hi, its hard to give general advice but I'd say lesser incline for longer is easier on the body. Even a slight decrease in angle can be a great deal more load so you need to be careful. I hope that's helpful!

with rib pumping I have a slight difference in my spine, I dont feel anything too odd in my ribcage. But the most odd thing is that my hips look uneven without pressing down on them, one hips looks fatter and one Lat looks bigger. but when I push my hands down on my hips the difference is miniscule, there might be a slight difference but not really noticable. Raising my arms up I dont see any difference to my left and right fingertops. So to conclude my situation, my hips LOOK uneven but when I investigate and press down on them and do other checks its not as clear. What would your expertise tell me about my sitaution, might it just be muscle imbalance, or one side tighter then the other? Also, might I add that I work out and lift weights, would worse lifting form on the left side compared to my right cause this imbalance?
@posturechiro
@posturechiro 2 месяца назад
Hi! Yes, it could be a muscle imbalance but the only way to tell for sure is to get an Xray. That way you could find out if the difference is structural (due to the bones) or functional (due to the muscles). It's much easier to make a change if the issue is muscular of course. I hope that helps!

@posturechiro 3 месяца назад
Sorry, not exactly sure what you mean. Double crossed legs (criss cross) is OK and short term one leg cross over the other is OK, but don't sit on your leg or foot. When you sit on it it causes a lot of pressure and torsion. And...no position for long periods of time, mix it up and get up as much as possible. I hope that helps!

1 Should one wait a certain time after eating or drinking to do this? 2 This is kinda uncomfortable on the feet, and my feet are always tense, but should we let the feet relax even if there is a bit of pain, or does it matter?
@posturechiro
@posturechiro 3 месяца назад
1.Yes, I would wait a bit after eating a meal, it's likely hard to digest upside down. 2. Yes, you may need to allow your feet to relax. Some discomfort may occur but do little bits at a time to ensure you don't overdo it. It often takes time for the feet to relax, just be sure you aren't causing an injury or strain.

It's hard for me to tell you for sure without seeing your Xrays but if you're not in acute pain and don't have radiation down your leg I'd start slowly at a smaller angle for a short period of time and see how you do. It could end up being helpful but if you go too quickly you could end up sore. Less is more. :) As always though, check with a health professional who knows your case well. I hope that helps!

@posturechiro 4 месяца назад
Hi, hard to know witout knowing more about your case history. It's not unusual for it to take 4 days-1 week for it to resolve. It also deopends how tense you were, how inflammed you are generally and if you tend to re-aggravate it through the day. (likely at your desk). Your chiropractor should be able to answer that question better for you. :)

How does this compare to the cervical denneroll? Chiro recommended denneroll but it's so expensive! So wondering if other less expensive options are equally beneficial?
@posturechiro
@posturechiro 5 месяцев назад
The Denneroll is a good tool but a more intense extension. We prefer this on because it's very effective , easy to use and can be used all levels safely. Some patients do well with the Denneroll but others find it too intense. the video shows you how to increase the intensity of this one safely.

@posturechiro ok thanks for clarifying that. What about pillows? Again chiro recommended one specific one, but it is so expensive, and I feel like I can find my own similar equally effective... Any pillow recommendations for the neck?
@posturechiro
@posturechiro 5 месяцев назад
@@englishconnections9235 Pillows are so hard to recommend because everyone is a different size/shape and sleeps in a unique position. My husband (who is a chiro as well) sleeps with one from Obus Forme and I ended up with a basic inexpensive memory foam that I find comfortable. Some patients LOVE the expensive pillows but personally they didn't work for me. I recommend people try it without taking the plastic on for a night so you can tell what works best but still return it. Very often the soreness people wake up with is because their already tense neck gets worse when they lie still all night, and the pillow isn't the culprit. (and yet sometimes it is contributing to the issue). Sorry I'm not being more specific but its really trial/error.
