No issues so far, and yes, I've installed cooling thermal solutions on both the SSDs and the RAM chips, but the greatest result was delivered by the dedicated laptop cooling system! Now I can see up to 20-30 Celsius lower temps than before. To me, it sounds like as if the program would update itself to another version in the background, overwriting the changes you've made. So, I would verify the version number, get the latest, remove all components, restart, install the latest with administrator privileges, restart again, confirm the version, then, if everything works fine, then disable any options for auto update. BUT, if you've tried all that before, then contact Acer Tech Support for help.
Greetings. Will helios 18 on 14900HX, which is basically same laptop (in term of internals) with 18" screen, support crucial 2x48gb ram ? maybe not on 5600mhz, but on 5200mhz or 4800mhz, which is also accaptable.
I've considered it, but I was warned that probably the sockets won't be able to handle anything larger than 32GB each. However, I can't tell, so if you do the 2 X 48GB upgrade, please let us know! Good luck! :)
@@mrgclips I'm planning to buy Helios 18 in the first place :D just researching upgrade options :) I'm now using ooooooooold lenovo G570 which startet life as i3-2350m (2core/4thread) + 4gb single channel ram, which I upgraded to i7-2760QM (4core/8thread) + 16gb dual channel memory, with radiator upgrade from dedicated gpu models, as i7 is 45W vs 35w i3 (radiator from dedicated gpu models have larger heatpipe), also I modified it, as it won't fit bolt on (a little different internal structure) Do you also consider upgrading cooling system with more copper ?

Check in the Audio settings to make sure it is selected as the Default Input Device, then change the Mic. Volume and set it to maximum. You can also run a troubleshooter on it to find out if the system recognizes it at all? If nothing works, try it on another device, just to find out if it's faulty, and if it is, ask the seller for a replacement.
Just like I said it in the video. Get the latest firmware, but first make sure you REMOVE ALL old components before installing the new driver. Right click -> Run it as Administrator -> follow the instructions, accept conditions, etc, then RESTART your computer after successful installation.
Hey! please, maybe can you help me? i have a predator helios 300 series and since yesterday i have noticed an issue. the Power led that was always blue started to get full orange and then sometimes back to blue or blinks between BLUE/Orange quickly. and then stops in blue or Orange. (even when its charging or not). tried calibrate battery already. but for real idk what is happenin.
I think you have a good hunch about the issue, because I suspect the battery as the reason as well. Try to use the battery all the way down to 8%, then recharge it, then repeat at least 2 more times, then see if the lighting issue is gone, and if not, then do a re-calibration again.
@@mrgclips The prob is that i have tried re-calibrate battery like 4 times in a row and the LED issue keep occuring. (not as much intense as before but still). It doesn't blink. it alternates between blue/orange quickly; sometimes becoming completely orange. even if its plugged or not. i can use the laptop as before but the led issue is not normal and idk know what to do.
You can customize the fan operations as well, or just leave it as is, and the system will turn on and runs with the speeds it registers as necessary. In order to avoid over-heating, I've purchased a laptop cooler, and boy, this was a great idea! Also, I've installed coolers on the RAM and SSD chips as well, because these laptops have a tendency of overheating.

Well, all I can tell you that I've got this jacket in 2019, but in 2024 it still looks brand new, soft as butter, feels very heavy and thick leather, no smell, fantastic feel and everything I've ever wanted in a classic biker jacket! So, wherever the leather is from, it surely feels and looks as top quality! :-)
No doubt, you always get what you pay for, so the best I can do is try and keep it in great condition by regularly applying some leather treatment solution. Still, I have a great feeling about this one, I mean, after 5 years it literally looks and feels like brand new, so I think it's gonna last me a good 20 years before it would wear out to trash/junk level. LOL! :D
I just installed 32gb ram but ram speed showing 2133 same as everyone insteal pf 3300. How do you fix that in Asus Predator bios same as yours. I have looked and i cannot figure it out

Which Predator Sense version is available in your Acer account for your model to download? -> Go Acer -> Log In -> Select model -> Go to support and download -> Find version for your model.

Well, my system runs the 5,600Mhz units, but after the upgrade the new ones only run at 5,200Mhz, so I guess we just need to wait till an upgraded BIOS is released.
