When watching you on the left side and you took out a cover. I believe I see the same cover on the driver side. If so I would install the cover back with the new vent?
I have a C 7 2019 base. I see two solid shelled sections on both? Why would I change it if it is not functional? Just for looks I think. You video is great and please let me know about this issue. Thanks
Thanks for watching! On a base model Stingray (automatic transmission) only the driver side scoop is functional. Manual transmission may not have functional scoop, then it would be an aesthetic change only.
It looks like you need to pay special attention to how many and where each body washer goes, especially if they are different widths too. Maybe some waxed dental floss and rubber/silicone grease on the rubber molding to get that back together…I’ll give it a go with all that in mind. Appreciate the insightful vid!
im tossing up weather to get the 25ft or 50ft, what would you recommend? does having the 50 make winding it up and storing it much more difficult or is it worth it for the extra length?
I personally like having the extra length, I guess it makes winging it up a little harder but I feel the advantage of the extra length is worth it. Thanks for watching!
Poor review. Good detail on the installation. Appreciate the opinion on the placement of the tool caddy. However, no information on performance other than "better than what I had before." How is it better? What does it do well? What does it not do well? Personally I'm looking at this from a woodworking perspective rather than a car detailing perspective, but some of those information points (the manufacturers listed CFM versus real world performance) could be useful to both. Not a bad video really, but light on the details I was hoping to get. Wanted to offer some constructive criticism
Constructive criticism is always welcome. Here are some answers to your questions. How is it better? It sucks better! What does it do well? It vacuums well! What does it not do well? It does not play music well! I was looking at this from a car detailing perspective not a woodworking perspective as far as CFM’s verses real world performance it has adequate CFM’s. Hope these details help. Thanks for watching!
I’ve had some issues with my tool caddy on mine mainly because it wants to pop off of the vacuum itself however this sucker along with a cheap Home Depot dust collection/cyclone lid and 5 gallon bucket kick ass in sucking power and what a difference it’s made for ease of use which was my greatest complaint besides hoarding lots of tools with no where to go! You don’t need a massive vacuum if you have a simple, cheap dust collection cyclone, etc. as the container of your choice can hold as much as you want without issues. It’s really about how strong the vacuum’s motor is and this smaller wall mount Ridgid vac works great! I needed a way to store the vacuum (on the wall) with this cyclone bucket and I could absolutely build something no problem but I happened to find an ingenious water cooler wall mount holder (again at Home Depot)… it holds the dust bucket great and is easy to take off the wall to dump with straps that you can maneuver or unclip the back of the mount part and it’s done. It’s so easy I should do my own video
How has this held up since this video? Asking because I’m considering Griot’s Garage polisher which looks similar but apparently a big issue is the detachable cord sometimes randomly stops working. Thanks.
I have had no issues with the polisher since i bought it. The cord has a positive lock and I have had no problems with it. That has been my experience good luck with your purchase and thanks for watching. Pete
I agree with your sentiment regarding the attachable tool caddy-bulky to the point of getting in the way of other wall mounted tools or even just working around it.I ordered this same unit and will be jigging up something similar to what you have done. Thanks for the review.✌️
Hello, quick question....would u recommend this cover or their outdoor cover?....I store my car in the garage but I feel like the outdoor cover would provide a little more scratch/ding protection (I have dogs and kids lol)
Great question, since I have both covers I put the black satin on first then the outdoor cover so I have the most protection. If you are just buying just one, the outdoor cover is much thicker and I would say offers more protection. FYI I normally use the black satin in the summer in between drives. Thanks for watching! Pete
Lol bottle holders are kinda important. It's a seat with wheels and the only thing that makes it classified as a detailers seat is those holders...which they failed at. they didn't give a damn when making this... just stuck a logo on and sold at premium price bc of name.
The plastic deflector on the right side must be reinstalled just like it was before removing it. Install the new intake then the deflector then the nuts to secure it. Thanks for watching!
Well currently the Adam's SK Pro 15mm Swirl Killer Polisher is listed at $299 a new. You can usually catch a sale. It is big and at time hard to get into tight spots so you might want to look at the 12 mm version. Any way you go you have to consider how much polishing your going to do and choose a machine in your budget. I really like the pro series. Thanks for watching. Pete
The expanding hose is great I like better than the mod ridged hose. The expanding hose really increases the length with little storage so it is a good feature. Thanks for watching.
WeatherTech, for what they charge, need to improve the side stiffness. My rear mats have deformed and don’t sit tight against the existing floor curves. Disappointing.
Sorry to hear that. I haven’t had any issues like that. Your mats are warranted you should contact them and see what they will do. Thanks for watching.
I haven't used mine yet, but the instructions are awful. Looking at the unboxing of your seat was much different than mine. The casters were not attached to the rails and the drawing they supplied really doesn't show what they want you to do with the parts. I don't think the parts list even shows the large washers and where they are to be used. I'm guessing with the casters? They also don't tell you where to place the locking casters. They seem to provide extra washers, but don't tell you they have done that.
Wow Steve I’m sorry to hear that. As you saw in the video mine was mostly assembled. I normally save all my paperwork from my purchases but I can’t find the instructions for the seat. I hope you were able to get it assembled correctly. I definitely would call Adams and complain they are usually good with that stuff. Thanks for watching, Pete
That's pretty good. Its better than getting the lame plastic drencher nozzle ($20) and brass cutoff valve ($20). That's 20% of the value of the mystery organizer. I got those twice!! Lol.
I currently have two hoses connected to each other they total 25 feet there is still room for more hose. I don’t think 50 feet would fit but I do think 35-40 should. I hope that helps. Thanks for watching! Pete
Mike, good question. I am not a scientist so here is a good article on shop vac hoses and how size and length can affect performance. housegrail.com/shop-vac-hose-size-guide/
Great question, I have not used the regular SK. The pro comes with some better features like a brushed motor detachable cord and rubber touch pads. If you are polishing once or twice a year I think I would feel safe with the regular SK. I like my Pro very much the only thing that I don’t like and feel is useless is the light. I hope that helps and thanks for watching. Pete
I bought the same one for my mustang for storage during winter months fits like a glove I was lucky because the original cover i ordered was out of stock so i asked about the black satin one those were out also but they found me one that was returned for 95.00 it came with the bag no patch not needed anyway and the shipped mine just like yours in a bag they said it was checked for damage and it looked brand new to me i figured its just like trying on clothes if they do not fit put it back very happy with this cover
Thanks for watching! Sounds like you got a good deal. I have been very happy with both my covers from CarCovers.com and would purchase from them in the future. Thanks again for the comment and for watching. Pete
only bad things is its a gamble because the sale is final looked brand new to me not a spec of dirt on it and the do inspect before the sale so this time I gambled and won but I really do like that cover and you can wash it in a front load washer on a gentle cycle drying is air drying which is fine if I want to wash it after winter yes I would buy again what happened was i ordered the basic cover first it said it was in stock online but no so they offered a discount on the next model up i said no thanks i want a indoor cover so i said what about the satin one the new were all gone also but they found me return that's why it was so cheap and it did come with the bag and mine was shipped like yours I work for UPS and not sure why they don't box i think they are trying to save on cost i just got my cover yesterday and looks awesome on my mustang
Not to be a Butthead, but Volkswagen did NOT make the Atlas Cross Sport in 2001. I believe you meant 2021. My wife and I bought a 2021 earlier this year. We love it, and I plan on ordering the adapter with my next Amazon order. That way Jeff Bezos can keep going into space.
@@garage1174 got my Pollak 11-893p socket today, 8-23-2021. I plan on installing it tomorrow after I get back from the grocery store. Have seen 2 or 3 videos showing the steps needed. I figure if you all can do it, so can I !!!!!! Ha Ha Ha !!!!!!! Question: is the 7-way adapter not widely used for towing ???? Pretty much every video I have seen, shows the 4-pin adapter. Guess Jeff gets a little more of my money.
@@markherbert1524 Mark, I am guessing most of your towing applications will be using the 4 pin adapter. So yes, Jeff will get a few more dollars but its good to have both anyway. Good luck on the install you should have no problem. Pete
@@garage1174 got my Pollak 11-893p receptacle installed today, 8-24-21. I did need the help of a neighbor to get on the ground while I pushed the part tight against the vehicle. I’m old and can’t get down on the ground.
I agree, bottles don't sit in the holders they need to be much taller. I typically use the side units for my towels as I roll along the side of my car. Griots has the same seat and they offer an optional cushion for my skinny gluteals.
it happens to some of us man but look if you want buy these things on sale, you should wait till the holidays. 4th of july, easter, black friday, christmas, new years etc. they'll usually have sales those days
