I spent 6 years at sea travelling the world while serving in the Royal Navy (two Frigates and an Aircraft Carrier). But I have been around boats and the sea since I was a kid.
I also spent just under two years volunteering as a coastal crew member in the RNLI (search and rescue) at one of the busiest RNLI stations in the UK.
I LOVE cruising in rough weather (as long as I am on the right vessel!)
I have had a passion for boats/yachts and the sea since I was 9-years-old (31 years ago!). When I was a teenager, I used to read 'Boat International' and I spent many hours daydreaming about life on the water. Anyone who has been to sea, and enjoyed their experience, will confirm that once you are 'hooked' then there is no going back.
I love explorer yachts and trawler yachts and anything that floats on the water. I also love naval architecture and marine engineering & technology. This channel is about sharing my passion with other like-minded seafarers and shipmates :-)
Loved the interior styling. The mini splits are the same we've used in the remodel of our house, love them very COOL and REFRESHING units, noticed the fresh air vents from possible HRV or ERV units around. Like this Yacht much more so than 95% of the the so called lavish yachts.
That’s one hefty , well done , hurricane proof , purpose build explorer yacht, I wonder if it’s a $60k aprox . operation/ maintenance a year unit .💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
I'd certainly buy it. A real go-anywhere boat, though some of the interior looks 'un-nautical' ( for want of a better word ). I'm not sure about all the black, either. It might suit a family with a goth teenager 😄. This is a great channel; I love being shown round all these fabulous boats. Keep up the excellent work.
I would love to watch how she handles/looks in rough conditions. I'm surprised to see the bridge day-head toilet faces aft. Is that metaphorical? The door to the engine room had no window. Afraid that's a deal breaker. I was so close to making an offer too.
Thank you. First of all, the big rolly stuff? where you talking about my ex? I know she is big, but thats just rude! JUST KIDDing! BUT SERIOUSLY, I like this too. I believe I would choose this one over many others. I prefer commercial boats over all others except for navy ships. Not sure why except maybe they have history in good and bad weather and survived to be turned into yachts. And again, forgive me for being an army guy, but if it helps, our regiment on the west coast of Canada has been called by some as Canada's marine corp.
Okay when I do win the lottery and buy this boat how much fuel would it take to get it to the United States from where it is now and what I have to change the outlets the electrical do you have to change the wiring or just the outlets
12 knots top speed means it cannot outrun anything or anyone which is a deal killer for weather and pirates. Nice boat but it has the dynamic capacity of a harbor tug and is too slow to get out of the way in big shipping lanes and too slow to outrun storms or pirates. Might as well be in a sailboat with a 12 knot top speed.
Some day those who design trawlers will design them with no less than 5'X7' heads with tubs/shower. Designs with space for no less than 18 cubic foot upright refrigerators.🥸
I'm in love. This boat says, right I can go anywhere comfortably so lets go exploring, rather than shout look at me aren't I pretty and my owner has too much money and no taste so I have to employ an interior designer and weigh it down with gaudy marble. All I need now is a lottery win. xxx
It's refreshing to see a boat that has been so beautifully maintained, her owners are obviously experienced seamen/women. This boat is one of the rare ones that could tempt this lifelong blue water sailor to convert to motorboats.
