Loved the video, got bomb rush cyberfunk after watching and indeed it was everything you were saying and more. Definitely a spiritual successor to jet set radio. Which, by the way, you should definitely check out (and/or its sequel jet set radio future) if you enjoyed brc’s style and gameplay, especially if you want a deep connection with brc’s roots.
This video should have only been the last 5 minutes, because you actually made a good argument there and if they were a standalone thing it wouldn't be completely diluted by the blatant contradiction. This is not criticism, this is a rant. You strawmanned and exaggerated carefully selected parts of the game to release your frustration with the gacha genre itself and all the time and money you sunk into it, and it's fine as long as you don't label it as "criticism". I really enjoy the rest of your content, so I don't like seeing you waste so much effort on one of these divisive videos where the people that watch already agree with you. There are a lot of problems with this game, but this is just not covering them in any meaningful way at all. I know writing a comment on a 2 year old video is completely useless, but just on the offchance that you see this, after so much time you've come clean, I want you to just give this past project a rewatch and think about how honest you were with yourself and your viewers; because I don't care how many predatory tactics are there, they would never make you spend 100 hours in a game you described so badly.
for some reason i wanted sonic 06 and i regret it mainly because i decided to play and BEAT every main line sonic game at least sonic frontiers is a good game love the music in that game

Glad you skipped part 7 cos I'm waiting for that to be animated. I try to avoid spoilers. I don't enjoy reading comics/manga. I have a greater appreciation for animation than I do drawing. So I avoid manga spoilers like the plague for many anime I trust will be animated. Part 7 will definitely be animated cos it's meant to be the best in the whole series. Side note, I avoided 80% of Bleach spoilers for 13 years cos I knew it would come back to animation one day. AND IT FUCKING DID! Now I get to enjoy this fresh animated story totally blind ❤ aaaand Kubo just did part 2 of the Hell Arc and we didn't even know we'd be getting more :D so I think we can also look forward to the Hell Arc being animated after TYBW
The fact that its so many "sonic fans" giving this game a pass really shows that the franchise is doomed. Its narrative was barely taken serious. The origins of the chaos emeralds made no sense, theres a crazy amount of bugs, and cyberspace is slow as hell, and the final boss is abysmal. Just because they did better than a few of the previous games should not give it a pass. Sure it's decent here and there, but this game still felt lazy. Like they had a bunch of unfinished ideas placed in one game. Literally, like a huge tech demo. And There was no sense of urgency in this game at all, not like sonic unleashed or any of the sonic adventure games. F**k this game.
The game was a massive disappointment. Have some backbone and give it a lower score. You don't even believe it's a 10/10. Nintendo and Aonuma missed up with this game and Zelda fanboys need to send out a big apology to the people who saw how much of an asset flip of a $70 game this was.
I was a Roblox fan years ago and I still think Roblox has potential and i feel that Roblox is like the biggest guilty pleasure game I have ever played and I even quit Roblox forever
You forgot to mention its god-awful bloated dialogue. Where normally in other RPGs, its often as: Greetings Traveler, can you help me find an apple for my juice? In Genshin: Good morning and greetings fellow Traveler, you're just as I need! I need your help to find me an apple for my juice! You see, this juice I am creating is a special one, passed down in different generations from my family... Paimon: Wow! Paimon thinks you're an awesome brewer! Guy: Hehe, thanks! Anyway this juice contains not only the sweetness of apple, but also healing properties that able to revive people or other shit! Paimon: So you're saying is... We need to find you an apple... As an ingredient for your juice... In order to complete your brewing? (And it would go on for hours to come)
Never have I been so thankful to the algorithm for recommending me your video. I Have NEVER heard of Picayune Dreams, The void rains upon her heart, and Crosscode like Literally!! Man, any time I see Flynn's name associated with stuff, I instantly expect it to be absolute garbage. Because nothing he's ever done has been remotely good.
0:40 This reputation makes no sense. Souls-likes are not hard per say, they're technically easier than anything with mandatory PvP (call of bs, fortnite, apex, gta5). Often people who pretend that it's hard either use a poor choice of words not representative of what they say or are straight up spewing bs and knowing it. Elden Ring is technically the most accessible by From Software but I would recommend beating Bloodborne (not 1 run, BEATING the game). Why ? It forces you to play more aggressively. I did turtle before but once i have beaten it the first time popping the plat and then 100% had me try different playstyles. Not only did i get much better (aside from when impossible, I did the trilogy and bloodborne fist only, sometimes a 100% without leveling, most recent was DSR no estus sl1fist only picked it up last to pop "the dark soul"). To put things in perspective : Souls-likes = one standard difficulty balanced and fair. Others = Multiple runs are often needed to get the highest difficulty (part of what beating a game is). On top of that mandatory PvP is the hardest part no matter how good or bad you are. You can have a perfect ratio in sp games rather doable but not in PvP (never seen that in over 20 years gaming aside of first lobby and win but then bound to mess up if not cheating). I'll keep it short, Souls-likes are not hard, require less reflexes than lobby crap but they require a brain... which sadly is something starting to become rare... Holy crap. I was there day one and had no issue. Maxed out and I was running a meh config. I have to call bullshit here unless you had issues with your rig. Given what you said you like or don't. This is an open world rpg in a medieval setting...
"Sonic Generations is a solid entry of the franchise because it's mostly 2D" is an argument on the level of "Sonic gens was good because it had classic Sonic" like holy moly bro.
Roblox's moderation is horrible the community is toxic. they want money and never listen to the fanbase. the only reason why i'm still playing is because i can't find a better online online game full of little games (or mini games i guess) in them. i don't play it as much anymore as most games have gotten boring and roblox's moderation is EXTREMELY poor and bad! there's so much else i need to talk about, but i'll need a 13 minute video going over every single detail.
